My name is Andy Greskoviak and I am a young, aspiring screenwriter based in Chicago, Illinois, trying to get my work read. I have a horror-comedy screenplay called Big Big Cats that I am very proud of. It’s what happens when you mix a monster movie like Super 8 and a coming-of-age comedy like Superbad.
It tells the story of Andy and Cameron, who promised each other that they'd stay best friends forever when they graduated high school. But after their first year at college, that couldn't be further from the truth. Andy thinks that the hardest thing about this summer will be seeing his former best friend, until they discover a pack of giant, bloodthirsty, cat-like monsters, hell-bent on taking over their small town.
Without help from the police or adult supervision, the reluctant teens set aside their differences and take matters into their own hands. With only a few days until the big town fair and a rapidly rising body count, Andy and Cameron put together their idea of a fool proof plan so that they can stop the creatures and save the day. However, they soon realize that if they want to save their town, they'll have to save their friendship first. A twist on old monster movies with a lot of heart, Big Big Cats is sure to make you laugh, cringe and in a weird way, smile.
I recently graduated from DePaul University with an honors degree in screenwriting and currently have a short film in production at CineSpace Studios in Chicago. Otherwise, I have a portfolio full of features, short films and television pilots.
