About Eric

Eric is a Canadian cinematographer based in Barcelona and is a Full Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) & an accredited member of the Malaysian Society of Cinematographers (MYSC).

Eric started working in the film industry in Toronto, Canada in 1993. In 2001 he embarked on his career as a cinematographer and steadicam operator, first in music videos, then moving on to tv commercials, and feature films.

In 2008, Eric travelled to Bali, Indonesia for a five month project, shooting a feature length documentary. After the doc was wrapped, he decided to stay on in Asia and moved to Malaysia in 2009.

While in Asia, Eric shot commercials for top Production Companies such as Passion Pictures (Malaysia), Godmother Productions (China), Superwonderful (Malaysia), Planet Films (Malaysia), Gwantsi (China), Playhouse Pictures (Malaysia), Squarebox Films (Indonesia), Biscuit Films (Malaysia), Shoooting Gallery Films (Indonesia), May Production (Vietnam), Film base (Malaysia & Vietnam) and many more.

Eric has shot commercials for clients such as Audi, Coca Cola, Samsung, McDonald’s, Braun, and worked with international agencies such as Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Grey, BBDO, Dentsu, Publicis, and Ogilvy just to name a few.

After a fruitful 8 years in Asia, Eric relocated further west and now spends time between Toronto and Barcelona. He is predominantly focused on Long format narrative such as features but still shoots documentaries and commercials.
