Shane Michaels, an award winning filmmaker, was born and raised in Northwest Ohio with a fondness for writing and film-making since the age of twelve. After graduation, Shane decided to move around; living in multiple locations in order to broaden his horizons. In 2000, Shane moved to New York City, where he learned the art and business side of film-making. In 2006, Shane moved back to Northwest Ohio to help his family. Since Shane is an avid horror fan, in 2009 he decided to open his own production company Blood and Guts Productions. Under that company Shane has produced and directed a handful of short films, commercials, and a feature length film called The Paranormal Mackinaw Tapes.
Shane is currently in pre-production on his next directorial feature The Marshall Family, a psychological home invasion horror which he co-wrote with Brentt Slabchuck, Ashley Borer, and Stephen Corron; filming will begin later this year.
Shane currently resides in Evansville, Indiana with his lovely (and extremely patient) fiancee Jamie and their children.
