Despite living in an area that lacks much of a film scene, I am an aspiring filmmaker who is attending college with a major tailor-made for film, covering everything from theory to history to, of course, the technical parts of filmmaking. I am rather determined to make a name for myself in film, as it is my aspiration in life. I like to consider myself a writer, director and often DP, as well, but the truth is that, as I haven't graduated yet, I lack the experience I am needing and even craving. Right now I am currently working on the concept and treatment for a short film for a class on no budget whatsoever. Yaaaaay!
Unique traits: Oh, wow--you're gong to make me speak positively of myself? That's hard to do without feeling like a total jackass, but I will give it a try: I am well versed in many film movements and theories. I am quite visually literate, and I know how to compose a shot using aesthetic themes of the picture. I am also a rather creative type, often writing concepts and treatments and sometimes even scripts for projects that will likely never be made, mostly for practice to hone my screenwriting. These things together make me feel confident in my aspiration to become a writer/director.
