Michael Davie would like to join forces with movie-literary agents, screen-writers, producers and others in collaborative ventures to bring outstanding works of fiction by critically acclaimed authors to the silver screen ... and much more. He's most interested in working with a reputable agent to market-sell book rights for movies.
Michael is the author of more than 20 critically acclaimed books, an award winning journalist (dozens of awards) with major publications (Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, Hamilton Spectator), president/CEO of Rockport Records International Corp. (with songs ready for soundtracks) and President/CEO of Manor House Publishing, which is looking to adapt many of its most popular novels and short stories collections into screenplays and films. Please check out www.manor-house.ca for more information and contact Michael at firstname.lastname@example.org or 905-648-2193 to explore ideas.
Manor House has number of titles that would make excellent screenplays for relatively low-budget films, including Bequest and The Lost Chord, a pair of outstanding novels by famed singer songwriter Ian Thomas (Painted Ladies, Right Before Your Eyes, Pilot and many more smash hits plus songs written for Santana, America, Chicago, etc.). Ian would also likely be up for having one or more of his hits featured on the soundtrack. We have numerous other authors - Cliff Jackman, Michael Bradley, Vince Fernandez, Alyxandra Harvey, Susan Crossman- to name but a few - whose gripping works of fiction would make great movies. In most cases, massive budgets would not be needed to bring these compelling stories to film.
On the non-fiction front, there is also a wealth of great Manor House titles, including biographies The Unforgiving Tides by Ross Pennie, Growing up with the Hits! by Nevin Grant and Spoonfed - My Life With The Spoons - by Gord Deppe - front man for the Spoons who wrote many of their biggest hits - such as Nova Heart, Tell No Lies, Romantic Traffic and Old Emotions - and propelled the band to stardom touring with the Police, Culture Club, Simple Minds, Talking Heads and many more. Amazing stores just waiting to become feature files and/or documentaries.
Plus, numerous breakthrough business books and self-help titles by well-spoken experts ready to add captivating content to television shows. Check out our website, and social media pages and please get in touch with projects and ideas we can explore and perhaps collaborate on. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
