I'm a Family Justice Advocate, and that came to be after witnessing both sides of divorce in Canada. One without government involvement, my own - and one with government involvement, as a second-wife and step-mother. Had I not witnessed the nightmare first hand, I never would have believed it to be true! Our existing system is profoundly broken and out dated, and this needs to change, for the Sake of the Children and their Families!

My main objective is in Family Law Reforms to the Divorce Act - a rebuttable presumption of equal, shared parenting at the onset of divorce or separation, in the absence of abuse or neglect.

Shared parenting after divorce or separation is indeed in the Best Interest of the Child - Fit parents agree!(almost 80% of Canadians support shared parenting) Fit parents don't need to go to court to be told how to raise their children, nor do they put their need for revenge or control, over the needs of their children to both parents.

While I might not see change in my life time; I will never give up the fight for equal, shared parenting, because kids need two parents! (especially after divorce or separation)
