SYNOPSIS:

JD McKenan is fairly certain that his small town is not what it seems. He could not be more right, as several of the town's families are deeply involved in a Mithraic/Orionic Order that consider JD their most lethal threat. The truth about the town comes to light after JD and his best friend, Kyle, come across a Mourning Chair during one of their jaunts through the town cemetery. JD wants nothing to do with the Chair and will not allow his experience to change him or the course he feels has been set for him. Leaving town and escaping his immediate threats would mean leaving his grandparents ,which is something he could never fathom , but he must take on the town and the Order before he can truly escape. From the moment Kyle sits in the Chair he knows that he is somehow different and fully embraces the Chair's energy. Kyle's desire to gain supremacy over JD is overwhelming and his involvement in the destruction of JD begins.
