About Kiriakos

Hi, I am Kiriakos, a self-tought filmmaker and screenwriter from Greece. Though I studied Graphic Design, my love towards cinema was an ongoing pursue since the day I held my first camera at the age of 12, shooting stop motion shorts. As time passed I digged deeper into movie making (personal research and off-course watching as much as I can in the theatres). Though life sent me working for Hellenic Red Cross for some years, finaly I shot my first amateur short film in 2013 called "Infinite" on a very low budget, having friends as companions that share the same enthousiasm. The film was official selection at the Peloponnesean International Film Festival in 2013.

Since then -along side with three friends- we made a "writing room" starting to develop ideas for the next step. This team has completed a feature film screenplay that is currently under further discussion with production companies and various short film screenplays, of which one is under consideration for production (well Greece is under heavy financial presure, so getting money for a short film isn't the easiest road to walk on right now, but anyway). Also, this team is developing prioritized ideas in various genres (one feature film comedy screenplay and three TV-series drama screenplays).

I know it's tough to start in the world of movie making, but I guess everything has a starting point. So I am here, hoping to connect, to learn and to assist.
