About Elu

Elu Eboka started out as a songwriter and music producer making EDM and Hip-Hop. An invitation from a local theatre director, got Elu started in composition for stage. The show went on to win at the National Arts Fest, and placed Elu as a young composer on the national scene.

Whilst still producing and recording for artists, Elu has also worked extensively as film composing both locally and internationally. His training in the Jazz Academy, as well as working in contemporary genres has helped him forge a unique style in film composition by fusing various genres, sounds and textures.

Earlier this year Elu moved into his own private studio, allowing him to work from start to finish, in both production and recording, in his own studio, providing a quick turnover rate for clients. Coupled with his stay at the Music College of Cape Town, Elu has a large network pool of professional musicians who can add to their skills to projects.

This year, Elu has already recorded two albums. Composed, recorded and mixed for three short films. Composed trailer music for a third. Sound design for a stage show. Produced two EPs and working on another composition for 2016.

Unique traits: I have worked in a variety of musical fields; Songwriting, Composing, Producing, Recording, Mixing and Engineering, with extensive experience and training in each. With over 8 years in experience and across a variety of genres both traditional (Classical, Jazz, Rock) and modern (Hip-Hop, Dance, RnB). I work in my own studio, that is fully stocked with instruments, hardware and a recording room. All of this gives me the advantage creating unique and exciting music, all within my own studio, keeping costs down and giving me a high turnover rate.
