Jeff Kolhede

As a child growing up in the San Francisco East Bay, Jeff was most content deep in his imagination. At the age of 5, he started developing an ear for melodies and wrote his first song. Soon afterwards, he experimented with multi-track recording, layering vocal harmonies back and forth between two tape recorders. It was at 10 years of age that Jeff would begin his background in jazz and take up the saxophone. These early years planted the seed for what would later become a career in the musical arts.

As a performing musician, Jeff's main tools include, vocals, saxophones, synthesizers as well as his unique manipulation of the EWI (Electronic Woodwind Instrument). Jeff has performed with such artists as John Legend, Allen Stone, Jacob Luttrell (David Guetta, Enrique Iglesias), HoneyHoney, Pete Wentz, members of Rick James band, Maurice Brown, Chali 2na, Dru Decaro (Miguel), JoJo, Tony Royster Jr., Bobby Brown, and The Regiment Horns (Justin Timberlake). Currently, Jeff is a member of the "Hollywood Game Night" band on NBC, hosted by Jane Lynch.

In December 2012, Jeff became a member of Matter Music, an Emmy winning musical composition co-op for film, television, and advertising. His most recent compositions while at Matter can be heard on NBC's Hollywood Game Night, where he is also a member of the on set live band as a saxophonist and vocalist. Other film and television credits as a composer include Mulaney (FOX), and Single Ladies (VH1).

Jeff is also a founding member of Balance & The Traveling Sounds, a soul, rock, hip-hop, and funk band formed during his college days at Cal State Northridge. Most recently, this project led the band to the 2013 Java Jazz Festival in Indonesia, where they shared the stage with the likes of Joss Stone, Craig David, Stanley Clarke, the late George Duke, and Roy Hargrove, among many other music icons.

Jeff enjoys collaborating with other artists across a variety of genres including rock, hip-hop, electronic dance music, and jazz. Jeff recently released his self produced debut album, Unfolding EP on August 25, 2014. His latest music project, "Tribal Campagne" showcases Jeff's original music as well as unique renditions of popular songs ().

A multi-talented individual, Jeff continues to record, compose, produce, and perform music for TV, film, and music artists. Jeff looks forward to many more exciting endeavors throughout his musical journey.
