Michael Ray Brown's Reel

This clip is the first act of a two-hour pilot I wrote for "The Prosecutors," a law-and-order series that ran on Discovery for two seasons. A chilling mystery, the investigation unfolds like peeling back the layers of an onion, each one revealing even greater horrors.

This is from an episode of the popular truTV series Forensic Files. I researched and wrote the script, conducted the interviews, directed the reenactments and B-roll, logged the shots, and delivered the rough cut. We were in Tulsa on the first day of spring when a freak blizzard threw a monkey wrench into our schedule. I managed to get two detectives to come out into the sleet on their day off, secured a tavern for shooting at the last minute, and cast six actors for the reenactment... all in the space of just two hours.
