Shawn Taylor

Shawn Taylor is a professional writer and media consultant who brings leadership and creativity to developing mission-driven content for businesses, government, educators and nonprofit organizations. In 2014, she began filming a documentary, “Gone Too Soon: Alton’s Endangered Black Men” to ignite a national dialogue about the lingering social, emotional and economic impact the early deaths of black men have on families and communities. She is on course to complete filming by fall 2015.

She founded Treetop Consulting in 2006 after a 23-year career as a newspaper journalist and editor. Treetop has a track record of raising the profile and thought leadership valuation of organizations and individuals before general audiences as well as in their respective fields and industries.
