SYNOPSIS:

Corrupt Austin police detective, DANNY PHELPS, late-30’s, overly confident and a charming smart-ass, choses a path of power, money, authority and embodies symbols of fear: badge, weapons, sirens… The experience of a horrific childhood incident inspires Phelps to go into law enforcement and with honorable intentions initially, until egoic passions and lust for power seduce him to abuse his detective’s position of authority. Through manipulations, he steals money and drugs from street dealers and thugs. Unaware of the DNA mutating within him, Phelps progressively evolves into the prototype for the next generation human with remarkable abilities. His ALTER EGO emerges to echo his true mission and ultimate destiny – a completely different direction than the one Phelps has aligned with. Indifferent to money or power, his Alter Ego repeatedly appears as various disguised personas – a homeless man, a businessman, a barback, a sign spinner, and remains invisible to others around Phelps, including detective partner, CHAZ, a mid-30’s Jamaican. Still Phelps never hesitates to dive into necessary action to help a fellow officer down or his resolve for truth in missing children’s cases. Off hours, Phelps and Chaz hang out at the local Gentleman’s Club for drinks or shoot pool at Phelps’ gorgeous house on the lake. Phelps and Chaz work together as detectives to solve crimes as well as being partners in crimes, one of which goes terribly wrong and takes Phelps to the edges of his conscience on into one of his darker hours. His Astral Body travels into the woods to find a poignant piece of evidence that Phelps takes to the forensic DNA specialist for clarification. DNA evidence suggests metamorphoses. Exotic dancer, TERRA, 20’s, pushes her flirting with Phelps slightly beyond the borders of her job description. When Terra questions Phelps to share his experiences in matters of love, Phelps reveals that when in love he was his happiest, but his love was lost in the kiss of death. Suddenly, he finds himself in an Alternate Reality where he meets his SOULMATE and for a brief moment of pure bliss, only to be yanked back abruptly into this third dimensional reality. While Alter Ego rides with Phelps during a leisure Sunday drive, he imparts greater truths to Phelps, particularly about the hidden governing reality on Earth, which controls humanity in a paradigm of chaos and fear. At the edge of the meadow ahead, Phelps sees past the veils that separate dimensions and enigmatic Creatures become visible. Gun in hand, Phelps pursues them into the woods and witnesses a scene more sadistic than he can imagine, one that challenges even his cop-exposed, desensitized perceptions of reality. Can he intervene? In time? Will Phelps rise above his own terror to change the impending outcome? Alter Ego reveals the true nature of humanity to the distraught Phelps, the most alarming and deepest esoteric knowledge that will shock the world… knowledge hidden and protected by the oppressors. He discovers that his Alter Ego is here to fulfill the highest destiny – the liberation of humanity and through Phelps as his personal vehicle to do so.
