Cody Hunt is an artist and filmmaker currently based in Kansas City, Missouri. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Cody was always fascinated by the immersive potential film and television possessed. Having originally grow up with a more illustrative and design oriented background Cody focused on realistic portraiture and branding within his body of work. After arriving to the Kansas City Art Institute he pushed artistic endeavors towards filmmaking, specifically focusing on cinematography, directing and editing.

Having grown up in the internet generation where information is virtually endless, Cody Hunt's work most often consists of characters that are directly influenced by multiple forms of media. He focuses on a naturalistic and cinematic aesthetic that coincides with the grounded yet, heightened realities that he puts to screen. Most often he features troubled and socially crippled characters, sometimes taking philosophies from television and film in the construction of their own persona. Through this process of self-identification via media his characters at times seem to become truly lost souls. Themes often featured in Hunt's work include identity, self identification, and loss. He is always seeking ways to define character and their path to find themselves in this age of ever-changing technology.
