About Patty

I'm Patty Pell, one quirky actress and writer. I was born in West Virginia and can only drive on "country roads." Spent seven years in NYC, fifteen years in Kentucky and the last twenty plus years in DFW...known as the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Every time someone asks me where is your favorite place to live, I always say "Right here! Right now!" I've met amazing people everywhere....and it all started on the banks of the Ohio River, in the Lawnsdale Hotel, my home for twenty-one years. While other kids lived on Maple and Elm Streets, I lived in Suite One.
The hotel consisted of twenty-six rooms, no room 13...a breakfast room, a banquet room and a bar and grill. The bar was the destination for plant workers, first stop after the 5:00 whistle. It was an Appalachian Cheers. My parents owned the hotel and worked....all the time. I was raised by a the hotel cook, Miz Mac. She was my go-to for breakfast and all questions about how to survive playground politics. My other advisers were the bartenders. Joe taught me how to dance, Willy taught me how to skate, and Sam taught me how to make jello shots. The latter was a big hit for my twelve year old friends when we started junior high. The Lawnsdale lasted from 1946 - 1966. My roots and memories are all there. You can find me on IMDB ...see my list of credits, photos, reels. I appreciate the acting roles and I love to write. I've just completed the pilot for a TV Series called Ponder People. It's Schitt's Creek meets Knives Out. Ponder is the kind of town the rest of the world forgot, a good place to live if you want to hide secrets. A quiet life, until Loretta Sooks is found murdered in Ponder Park. Could one of the town folk be a killer? It's up to Sheriff Wolf Pak to save them.

Unique traits: Quirky, learned in Kentucky how to swear like a musical riff.
