Craig Ruhl

I am a retired businessperson with over 40 years of experience working with a range of business entities, from the sole proprietorship to the publicly traded corporation. During my business career, I successfully owned both small and medium-sized businesses. I have also held key management positions in manufacturing, service, retail and technology based businesses.

My love of writing, coupled with my varied business experiences, enables me to successfully provide word content and presentation that really does what it is intended to do. My services include advertising and marketing copyediting, proofreading, product descriptions and instructions, press releases, policy and procedure statements, company biographies and introductions and grant proposals.

My wife, Karen, is a professional photographer, writer and graphic designer. She formed Lighthouse Creative Group to offer those services to people as well as companies. I am consulting with her in that business.

Since I am a freelance writer who works from home, I am able to offer services that are affordable, effective and on time. Projects are accepted on a per-project or hourly basis.

I continue to consult with a variety of businesses about strategy, planning, finance and everyday successful business management.

Serving the community is very important to me. I have been a board member and officer of non-profit organizations such as READ/Orange County which is the adult literacy program of the Orange County (Calif.) Public Libraries. READ/Orange County provides tutoring in reading, writing and English to adult individuals. During that time, I was able to successfully write grant proposals that were funded for multiple years. I also volunteered as an adult literacy tutor.

In addition to my business and family activities, I am excited to be involved with Rainsboro United Methodist Church and Ministries in Hillsboro, OH.
