About Monique

Monique Caulfield is a producer who is passionate about the power of story telling and constantly inspired by the tremendous dedication, creativity and talent the craft inspires. Her most recent project is the feature length musical comedy Basmati Blues. Realizing this project required years of undaunted passion and commitment. It was while shooting this film in India, set upon by the monsoon, covered in mud and up against every manner of obstacle, that Monique knew in her bones that she loved being a producer.

As the co-founder of Red Baron Films she has over a decade of experience working with writers and key talent in the creative development of projects at MGM, HBO and Warner Brothers. Caulfield is the 2007 recipient of Film Independent's Alfred P. Sloan Foundation producer’s grant, a Film Independent fellow and a Kodak Fast Track honoree.

Monique started her career as an entrepreneur, she founded a manufacturing and marketing firm dedicated to socially and environmentally sustainable products. Starting in apartment with $5,000 in seed money, she established distribution in nine countries, manufacturing facilities on three continents and fostered 100% annual growth and seven-figure sales. This experience developed her results-oriented supervisory and leadership skills working in a wide array of cultural contexts.

Monique brings real world business savvy, an eye for the bottom. Her greatest pleasure comes from the beautiful mess that is the creative process and the tremendous spirit and energy of a dedicated team working together to do something great.
