Latisha Alston

My name is Latisha Alston and I am 22 years old. I was born with Sickle Cell Disease and was diagnosed with Crohn's and Colitis Disease at the age of 9 a long with a touch of Cirrhosis Of The Liver and Hepatitis B that came with the Crohn's and Colitis Disease. They found Cancer in my Colon from my Crohn's and Colitis Disease and when I got surgery on April 6, 2015, they took all the cancer out and got to go through chemotherapy 6 weeks after surgery to prevent it from coming back. I'm praying eveything is okay. Anyways, I have always wanted to be an actor, dancer, artist, writer and model since I was 7. When I was diagnosed with Crohn's and Colitis Disease, I knew that my life was going to change but that was never going to stop me from what I wanted to do to get my career started and succeeded. I had to become responsible early and ended up in the hospital mostly everyday, every month, and every year of my life but I still kept a smile on my face to let people out here know that I know everything is going to be okay. So now everything is getting better yet I had to go through a lot of treatments and medications and surgeries as well. I became so excited in August 2012 when I had auditioned for an acting company called iPop and Eula Talents. When I told them my age, they wanted me on the spot and they couldn't believe how old I was because I look so young for my age. Now till this day, I am an actor, Model, writer and learning to be an hip-hop dancer. I am making a book about my life living with multiple serious illnesses while trying to get an successful career and then turn it into a movie. I have starred as an extra in the new TLC movie called Crazy, Sexy, Cool and an extra in Zoey Clarke Music Video, The Beat. My dream is finally coming true thanks to the man above! I hope that someone can see me as becoming a strong, young, beautiful lady who is living with multiple serious illness and making her dreams come true by putting her mind to it and never giving up.
