SYNOPSIS:

For the People, By the People. Screenplay written by Tom Gigliotti tomvelocityrealty@gmail.com Michael, a retired navy seal is living in Brooklyn NY with his wife and two kids. He is employed as head of security for a major celebrity protection company. When Michael is out of town on business his wife is brutally raped and murdered while his children slept in the room next door. Not knowing that the FBI had been pursuing a serial murderer loose in Brooklyn, Michael left town. The public was never notified. Michael moves to Plattsburgh NY and settles into a home on Lake Champlain to raise his two children. He takes on new employment as a high paid vigilante. He works for people that have not received justice through the courts. Vowing revenge on the FBI agent in charge of the serial killer case that ended his wives life, each time Michael takes on a new client and completes his tasks he snaps photos of the dead and often mutilated perp and mails them to the agent. This agent has been tracking Michael (who goes by the name of DB Cooper) for more than six years. He is a straight laced agent that occasionally gets slack from some of the other agents for spending so much time pursuing a person that who’s only wrong is ridding the world of scumbags that had beat the system. It ends when the agent’s wife is killed in a convenience store robbery gone wrong. He decides to retire from the FBI because he can no longer do his job knowing that if he got his hands on the man that murdered his wife he would kill him. On his last day of work he is cleaning out his desk when his partner Paul (whom you will learn through the course of the story is the brother in law of Michael and also HIS partner in the vigilante killings) informs him that the perp that shot his wife in the store had hung himself in his cell. “Where is the justice in that” he asks Paul then leaves and goes home. When he enters the house he is startled to see Michael sitting there in the dark. He asks him “Don’t I know you?” Yes I am the husband of the murdered woman in Brooklyn NY 6 years ago. They talk and he tells him he is DB Cooper. He hands him a manila envelope. The same one he had mailed all the photos in to the agent over the years. The agent says he is retired and is no longer pursuing him. Michael says “for old times sake” and walks out of the house. When he opens the envelope and removes the photos, they are of a man hanging in his cell. The same man that had killed his wife.
