Having worked with Red Digital Cinema Cameras since their inception, John LaTier has established himself as a well-respected, cutting-edge video artist and photographer.
In 2009, he was chosen to create the imagery and video components of the Sobieski Vodka campaign staring Bruce Willis, which helped launch the vodka in the United States. While working with Bruce, John was inspired to take his talents into the world of cinema. He recently completed directing, shooting and producing the feature length literary thriller The Tell-Tale Heart, staring the legendary Peter Bogdanovich, Rose McGowan, and Patrick John Flueger.
John has also made a dent in the music world, directing and filming several music videos for artists and taking part in a promotional campaign for Yamaha Entertainment Group’s band LEOGUN, managed by Elton John’s Rocket Entertainment. He also volunteered to make the Public Service Announcements for Love Is Louder, a movement started by Brittany Snow, The Jed Foundation and MTV to support anyone feeling mistreated, misunderstood or alone.
Originally from California, John has found a home in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. In August 2012, he set out to document the heart of New Orleans through Hurricane Isaac, taking photographs of the people before, during and after the storm. His photography caught the eye of several national news sources and he was interviewed by BBC, CNN, the LA Times, and “The Takeaway.”
When not filming or creating motion pictures, John focuses on his other passions: painting, drawing and robot building.
