Jahmani Perry is an award-winning (Sony Innovators Award) filmmaker / producer and photographer / visual artist, who's work (films, television and photography, film & soundscape project, ASPHALT SPIRITS NYC PROJECT.) looks deeply into the beauty, mystery and complex nature of people's everyday individual and collective lives and stories; uncovering the social and political fabric of people's experiences in America. He has created and contributed to numerous films, television, music videos and short films in New York and Los Angeles as a director, producer and associate producer with Madonna and Ice Cube and filmmakers such as Oliver Stone (Nixon), Marc Levin & Sam Pollard (Second Coming ? BET, two-part doc film series), Orlando Bagwell (PBS, four-part series, Matter's of Race)and Joss Wheaton (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, tv series). A tenacious filmmaker / producer who is passionately committed to exploring thought-provoking and challenging questions at the reality and center of our lives.
