About Auda

Having decided to leave France three years ago, to come to study in England; I am currently undertaking a BA Costume interpretation at Wimbledon College of Art in London, which ensure me the ability to study the historical and social context of the evolution of costume and severals project to focus on developing and understanding of the subtleties of character in relation to costume.

After I got my City and Guilds Certificate in ”Technical-Creative Fashion Wear and Printmaking” studio in London, I was driving to explore various creativity, techniques, materials, requirements, and confirm my strong interest for Fashion, Textiles and Costume.
I gained with this course an understanding and practice of garments developments and constructions.
I also builded a personal creative identity and aesthetic vocabulary informed by historical, cultural and technical knowledge, and by the practical experience of making textiles.

I have always had an interest in clothing and costume from a young age, which I initially thought was going to bring me into the world of fashion, but I recently realised that my heart lay in creating costumes for characters, giving my creations and designs depth and meaning.

I enjoy thinking up a story behind why such a person would have such an item and thinking of a narrative behind my designs. I loved diving into the history of a character and imagining what they would be like, and how I could translate their personalities through their costumes using techniques such as breaking down.

I am quite aware of the difficulty that some work requirements impose such as technical skills of various ongoing projects, nevertheless I would stay motivated despite failure because I believe that true success is to confront his failures without losing sight of his passion.
