About Laura

I have a writing and development background and began making feature films while in college. Since my production education was informal and always involving friends, I am fun to work with and consistently thinking outside the box. I make films about topics that move me and I'm not tied to any one type or style...great characters can live in any genre.

I love the collaborative aspect of film-making, and how it's an ever-changing environment. Cerebral in development, visceral in production, like a maddening puzzle that needs solving in post-production...I love it all.

Some of my favorite filmmakers include Billy Wilder, Paul Thomas Anderson, Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger, The Coen Brothers, John Hughes, Richard Linklater, and Steve McQueen.
