About Robert

Started off writing and directing my own short films, parlayed that into collaborations before deciding to DP films for other people. Slowly worked my way through the camera department, as well as the lighting and grip department, while I edited projects on the side. As my end goal is to direct and produce my own feature films I have endeavored to understand the work of everyone on set to a degree that it is possible to communicate with each individual in a way that suits their job, especially if I am not proficient in it.

I may be one of the only cinematographers who has sound mixers willing to vouch for me, as I'm one of the only ones I've met that sees sound as an integral part of the process. Without good sound, my image is useless.
