Demetrëa Dewald studied screenwriting and directing at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Straight out of college Demetrëa directed Let The Record Show, a feature documentary about artist and activists during the AIDS crisis in NYC. Let the Record Show screened at numerous festivals and is currently touring in galleries and museums across the country. Demetrëa strives to make films that are collaborative, empowering and diverse. She is currently developing a new narrative feature with her co-collaborator (and mother!) Rebekah Dewald.
