THE SINGING PRINCE
By David DeHaas

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

After learning the treasonous truth about his parents, the King and Queen, a young Prince joins forces with dissenting clans and challenges the rule of his own father.

SYNOPSIS:

In the opening Prince Duncan, along with his retinue, discover an old ragged man in the woods. The man does not speak, he only sings the same song over and over again. Soon after they discover this singing man, an acting troupe approaches them. Prince Duncan discovers that the old man is with the troupe, and they are on their way to his home to entertain his father Gerald, the King of this realm.

The singing man is presented to the court and Duncan's mother, Suzette, soon realizes the horrible truth, that this man is her long lost brother who was left to die in the woods long ago. This discovery leads to Duncan learning how Gerald manipulated Suzette with love/lust and took the throne for himself.

Duncan must decide whether to let the injustice about his grandfather, the true King, and his uncle go unanswered or challenge his own father and take the throne for himself.
