My primary interest right now is becoming a feature film Editor, I do one day, like everyone want to become a director, but I know that I have to learn and grow, so that's where I am at the moment, I am writing a feature and learning the craft and style of writing and editing, I consider myself a film-maker but have not yet made a feature film, I have made several short films, music videos and videos, corporate and commercial which have been great learning experiences and have helped me on my journey.
At the moment I work professionally as an Edit Assistant primarily for Robin Hill, and have learned a lot about story from him. I am not going to publish my Edit Assistant credits on here because I don't particularly want unpaid offers for Edit Assisting however I am looking to broaden my skills as an Editor and so if that's what you require then I would be more than happy to come on to a project providing we get on and I am interested in the story.
I see an Editor as the right hand of the director, someone who helps him/her when he is stressed from shooting, someone who provides him/her with alternatives and a fresh perspective and I would love to work with a director who values my opinion as an Editor on the same note I am in service to a Director and understand that he/she has the ultimate say or the last word.
My Edit showreel is somewhat limited as most of the work I have done as an editor has been under Robin Hill making edits in my spare time on broadcast television and Film which of course can't be shown for obvious reasons.
If you are interested let me know and I will be more than happy to send you some links to the stuff I have done and chat about the project. who knows we may hit it off and make some good stuff.
