About David

David Zennie is an American filmmaker who has produced and directed over 70 professional productions working on several formats such as 35mm, RED EPIC, ARRI ALEXA, and IDT’s high-speed camera The Diablo. Currently based in Dubai and at just 25 years of age, David is acclaimed to be one of the youngest visionary directors in the region working on productions in the United States, India, Egypt, Sudan, China, UK, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia.

Since directing his first television commercial for Wrigley's Chewing Gum at the age of 14 and studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design, David has provided his directorial expertise in the areas of television commercial, music video, and corporate film production, working with several leading companies and organizations including international brands such as Ford, Mountain Dew, Chrysler, Lay’s and Braun.

David has directed music videos for many regional and international artists accumulating over 70 million YouTube views for videos featuring Akshay Kumar (India), Kardinal Offishall (Canada), Sandy (Egypt), Karl Wolf (Canada/Lebanon), Foreign Beggars (UK), Joe Ashkar (Lebanon), and Yo Yo Honey Singh (India) to name a few.

He pioneered a new vision into the Middle East’s entertainment industry directing many of the regions first Hip Hop music videos dating back to 2008 with several of them topping #1 on MTV Arabia’s International Express Chart. Having crossed over into Arabic music videos David won the award for “Best Director” and “Best Clip” at the 2012 Middle East Music Awards and received his 3rd Murex D’or nomination for best Arabic Music Video of the Year for TA3EE by Lebanese singer Joe Ashkar. David was nominated twice previously for the Joseph Attieh music videos Taeb Al Shawk and Mawhoum. Recently his MTV Award Winning music video Brown Rang by Punjabi singer Yo Yo Honey Singh was ranked the #1 trending YouTube video for 2012 in India beating out Gangnam Style.
