I feel the art of telling a good story is becoming lost, less and less people read books every year and watch more of the same unoriginal stories that Hollywood churn out.
I remember my dad telling me stories when I was younger, sitting on his knee and being completely mesmerised by the magic he was creating. He made his stories come to life and that's exactly the feeling I want to create within an audience with my stories.
I'm currently studying Screenwriting at the University of Worcester and I have never enjoyed education until now. Watching films and writing films for a degree? What's not to enjoy? But it has become increasingly clear to me that it is who you know and not what you know that gets you places in this business.
At the moment I just want to see one of my scripts come to life for an audience to enjoy.
