SYNOPSIS:

Macklin and Matina meet for the first time to do a routine collection from the boss' cousin Jerry. When they arrive, Macklin is pushed out of the way as Matina rushes in and brutally kills Jerry. Matina claims to have been hired by Hong to kill Jerry because Jerry was feeding information to a rival gang about Hong's infrastructure. As Macklin drops Matina off at his car, Matina tells Macklin that Hong wants his computer delivered. As Macklin retrieves the computer, he calls Hong to see where it will be delivered, at which point he hears Hong's cell phone go off in the trunk of Matina's car. He spins around to see Matina pointing a gun at his head, and they both reveal that they are both working for the cartel. Matina, unsure if Macklin is telling the truth, calls a contact in the cartel. During this distraction, Macklin attacks Matina and a fight ensues, ending with Matina smashing Macklin's face into the car. As Matina opens the trunk to store Macklin's soon to be dead body, Macklin sees that Matina has killed Hong, the real Matina, Jerry and once he kills Macklin the cartel will have taken out the whole group. Macklin barely gets the drop on Matina, scrambles to get a gun and shoots Matina. Macklin gets on the phone and makes a call, revealing that he is a special agent and Hong's computer is the final key to the special operation he was undercover for. He requests extraction. Macklin doesn't seem very interested in any information that Matina can provide, suggesting that Matina is only a bit player in a much larger scheme, and shoots Matina in the head.
