"BOUVET"
By Mic Van De Voorde

GENRE: Documentary, Experimental, Sci-fi, Thriller
LOGLINE: Bouvet Island is the most isolated island in the world, for a reason. This is the found footage documentary that Vera Media, or world governments do NOT want ANYONE to see.

SYNOPSIS:

After a group of American friends travel across the globe only to bribe a local fisherman into taking them to the island of mystery. The group breaks onto the supposed "bird sanctuary"and recorded three days of paranormal events that took the lives of the crew from the missing fishing vessel known as "The Surge" and then were never seen again.

"BOUVET"

"Bouvet" White lettering appears on an all black screen, "Date: Feburary 25th, 2016 Location: Somewhere in New York City" A hidden camera turns on and shuffles in between clothing until it focuses through a slit. A white haired male sets in front of the camera; dressed in a sharp dark grey suit, red tie. Facing away in a dimly lit booth, passively sipping his drink. His attention turned to every passing stranger, their conversations muted. Behind him men in suits hold drinks and conversations closer. The white haired man turns back to the person recording; setting with an air of confidence beyond his years. One leg crossed over the other, he sips from his wine glass. A name tag blurs then comes into focus; Stephen McCallister, CEO Vera Media. Looking to the person recording, Stephen asks, "Well (sound muted), how's the view above the prawns? Hah-hah-hah..." Stephen sips and continues looking around the room without direction. From behind the camera, a voice asks, "So...the film?" Stephen looks back to the camera man, then looks around for anyone within an ears shot and leans forward. Speaking slowly, "You know...you have a GREAT-LIFE, a BETTER-LIFE than just a fisherman!...Maybe you should consider what life COULD-BE like without all that hassles of HAVING money...That film was your ONE-LOTTERY-TICKET...Do NOT waste it with questions you don't need...or want answered...Now, set back and enjoy New York, ALL of New York...Tomorrow you will go home able to provide for your family-" The voice behind the camera interrupts, "But, the film-" Stephen (Interrupting the voice in a hushed tone) "ENJOY the life, the PRIVILEGE you've earned...remember, all this...(Stephen motions with a wave of his hand.)...could easily GO-AWAY!" The voice speaks in a stern tone, "So...that's it?!...Possibly THEE MOST important footage in the HISTORY OF THE HUMAN RACE that YOU BOUGHT!...To what?!...Set in a vault, hidden away?!...People NEED to see it!...They NEED TO KNOW what's going to happen to them!...Their families!...To our PLANET!-" Stephen looks around them before interrupting, "-(volume muted), look, I get it. I do. You want to open their eyes, show the world what you found...and possibly what?...Save the world?...WHO are you going to save?...What COUNTRIES?...What populations?...How many?...And for what?!...Look, all these people, the majority of the entire civilization is doomed...There it is...Fact...Decisions were made, LONG-BEFORE your or I were a thought in our daddy's naughty bits...We don't deserve-we didn't comprehend what was given to us...We wrecked it all...the soil, the water, the air, the minds...the whole thing...all of it." Stephen looks from confident to concerned as he leans in close to hidden camera, "...Listen, if you want to sleep better at night...this decision, about earth...THIS earth was chosen a millennia ago...There is NOTHING you can do or say to change the "transition." Stephen looks around before looking back past the camera and sighs, "Look, You made the right decision...you may not think that now, but you did...You have enough money to take care of yourself and your family for a long time...maybe even buy an island for yourself...Go hide away while Rome burns...It's definitely safer than staying in largely populated areas." From behind the camera the voice interrupts, "You want me to go HIDE while the ENTIRE-HUMAN-RACE is being eradicated?!" Stephen jumps back in his seat, trying to lower the anger with his hands, "Settle-settle down!..(Stephen looks both ways before leaning in and speaking with a hushed urgency.)...What good could come from releasing the film?!...Skeptics would shred it as another "Paranormal Activity" or "4th Kind " then demand to know when the sequel is coming out!...The ones that WILL believe, will riot, it would be anarchy in the streets...they'll demand justice, they'll demand war...What good would come from trying to get them to fight an enemy that can drive them mad with just focused concentration?!...No, you've been paid for your work...That film will only bring chaos...and I'm not going to allow anything to disrupt the "transition." Behind the camera, the voice pauses before demanding an answer, "You're...you're actually FOR IT?!...You WANT-MILLIONS of innocent people to die?!?" Stephen looks around before looking back to the camera, "What I want, is of no concern to you...Tomorrow you will go back to Cape Town and forget about everything you've seen and heard about "Bouvet", and then our film will be right where it belongs...collecting dust where no one can find it!...For future reference, our conversations on this subject, will be closed for discussion." Stephen looks above the camera, at the camera man, his face a mixture of entitlement and annoyance as the camera shifts then blurs. The screen fades to black. White lettering slowly comes to focus: "At 9:55 am, on February 26th 2016, CVO flight 737 from New York to Cape Town went missing over the Atlantic Ocean. All 227 passengers are missing and presumed dead as of March 26th 2016. Including the anonymous source who found, edited and sold lost footage to Vera Media." The screen fades to black. White lettering appears, "The following footage was found on the abandoned fishing vessel known as "The Surge", 800 nautical miles off of the west coast of Australia in 2016. Two copies were then made. For a reason." "The following interviews were conducted on November 8th, 2015." The camera jumps from five different individuals, all sitting alone, facing the camera in the same fashion. First, an African American male sits looking past the camera, his dark hair shaved and styled to look perfect. A broad smile flashes vibrant white teeth. Bringing his hands to clear his eyes, on his left wrist a brilliant gold watch. His hands move to his polo shirt, and adjusts its collar as he exhales a nervous breath. "We ready?...Can I start?...Ok, hello world...my name is Marshall, Marshall Ross...You may know my family name from the cutlery franchise out of Raleigh, North Carolina...I'm next in line in the families business...BUT before I settle down to selling kitchen knives...I'm gonna make his-tory!...You out there watching this, may or may not know about a little known island called Bouvet..." Next, a young Indian female smiles looking into the lenses as it blurs then focuses. Her hair black and pulled back. Her ears holding matching golden hoops. Her face young, everything about her appearance is manicured perfect. She eyes around the room, unsure. She asks, "Are you just trying to film me as much as possible or are we doing this?...Go?...Ok, well, my name is Aria Drake...I'm 29...I guess you could say I'm the team's medic...IF...anything bad...happens...I'm a registered nurse practitioner, out of Mount Sinai in Manhattan..." Someone from off camera asks, "How exactly are you getting all this time off?" Aria (Smiling broadly) "I haven't had a vacation in 5 years!...I had to pull some strings, make some threats you know...Hah-hah...NO!...Really they love me there...I can't remember what it's actually like to take "time off." The camera man stammers, "That sucks!...So...you haven't had any time off and your FIRST VACATION, your boyfriend takes you to the coldest, most isolated island, in THE-HOPES of finding something either paranormal, extraterrestrial, or some hidden secret military base?!...What gives?" Aria (Laughs and agrees) "Well, that spoiled little rich kid is taking me to Paris immediately AFTER!" The voice groans playfully, "OHH!...THERE it is!...What, you made some shady, back room deal with "Richie-Rich?" Aria (Smiling while tounging her teeth) "Yeah, yeah I did...I mean if he's going to drag me through hell, he BETTER be taking me to heaven...immediately!" The camera jumps to a large muscular Caucasian male setting confidently and broadly showing his physique. A sweatband holds back dark hair from his eyes. Wearing a "Golds Gym" tank, he powers down a thick substance in a travel mug. He asks, "Can we do this already?...Ok, my name is Ian Ryan...professional mountain climber...Ahh...I grew up in Colorado, spent most of my childhood and teenage years climbing everything in the state...Name a range in Colorado and I've conquered it...I spent the last...13-14-15...15 years traveling all over the world, climbing...I do a lot of "B footage" for "Hollywood"...there's a couple of films you may have seen that shows MY WORK...I've scaled K2 in China, Kilimanjaro in Africa, the Matterhorn, Elbrus...My crowning achievement so far, was just last month...I was on a team that conquered Mt. Fitzroy down in Chile, Argentina...Right now, I'm in training mode for Everest after we get back...My agent got some me some work for a film slated out next year." The camera jumps to a large Caucasian male whose eyes are long and staring with barely an ounce of emotion. His hair shaved close, he tounges one of his teeth before starting. His shirt, a plain white t-shirt barely covering a tattooed left arm. Looking from the desk then up to the camera, he begins. "Ok, my name is Michael Kron, I'm ex-Army, 13th Bravo division out of Kentworth, Indiana...I've known "Richie Rich" since grade school...Ahh...he knew my background with cameras and technology...I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to computers and cameras...so I guess that makes me the "tech guy"...Ahh...where do I begin...this film...this last year, has been the hardest year of my life...I...I lost the person I loved the most in life...My fiancée...was killed nine...nine months ago and...I've...I've been in a dark place, for a while now...Marshall came back for the high school reunion, and talked me into this trip...all the way across the world...To tell you the truth...I...(Michael eyes the camera before continuing)...I had my own suicide planned out...The only thing that kept me kicking was, I didn't want to hurt my mom any more...She was there when I lost Jenny...She loved her so much, I just...just wanted to be with her again...didn't really care how, you know?...I-" Michael is interrupted by a door opening behind him, and a bald Caucasian male with thick black glasses comes walking through the door. Immediately seeing Michael, he reacts with a loud eruption; "MIKEY!-HEY-HEY!!" Michael gets up and immediately hugs him. Michael "TONY!...You sonofabitch!...Marshall said you weren't coming!" Tony (Hugs Michael then reaches around and slaps him hard on his ass) "Stop being gay!...Illegal trip to a foreign protected island that's probably gonna get us landed in some CIA prison?...Are you kidding me??...How could I say no?...Hah-hah-hah!" Tony (Notices the camera, then motions to Michael) "Dude, you doing your interview thing?...Oh, my bad...I'll step out a sec...Hurry up, I got some fine sticky-icky-icky for you to sample...Maybe get you to smile..." The camera jumps to a Caucasian male, whose black framed glasses are fixed towards his phone. His bald spot shows with his head down, and hair shaved close to his ears. A full brown beard hides his nervous habit of chewing on his bottom lip. He mumbles to himself, "For say $1,000 U.S. it's...$12,682 Rand..." He looks up over his right shoulder and asks out the door, "Hey Marshall, how much did you say the boat was gonna cost us in Cape Town?" Mike (From off of camera) "Tony...we're filming." Tony looks from the voice, then to his phone then back to the camera. With a big smile and wave, Tony begins in a cartoony voice: "HI-EVERY-BODY!...My name is Tony Herre-" Mike (From off of camera, playfully interrupts) "NEXT!" Tony (Double takes then looks past the camera) "Hey fuck you, MIKE!...Ah...I'm ex-Army officer-" Mike (Interrupting again) "Dummy." Tony (Ignoring) "...I've been to almost every continent...I speak 5 languages...German, French-" Mike (Interrupting again) "Jeez, talk-talk-talk...Do you EVER STOP?" Tony (Laughing) "SHUT-UP-MIKE!...Hah-hah-hah...I've spent the majority of my life in other countries, and to be able to say I went to Bouvet Island, illegally, would be a MAJOR accomplishment for me....Really, going anywhere illegally gives me a chub..." Michael (From off of camera) "What doesn't?" The camera cuts to Marshall, "Say what you want to Mike, conspiracy, secret military base, what-ever!...I'm paying for your time and services...Did you not get paid?...Well alright then, turn that sad white frown upside down!...Hah-hah-hah!...WE...are...going...to...AFRICA-BABY!" The camera cuts to Tony, "I've been arrested in Germany for trespassing, sex in public in France...AND Chile....I, I-hah-hah, funny story, I actually had my shit stolen in Columbia...Taking, my wallet, ID, passport, EVERYTHING!...And yeah, I made the 1000 mile trek back....snuck back into the country...like an illegal...hah-hah-hah!...OH!...Aaand, I tecniquely, legally can't go back to Argentina...They know my face...but I gave them the ID with YOUR NAME!" Michael (From off of camera) "You better not have!" The camera cuts to Aria. Mike asks from off of camera, "Are you seriously ready for the cold?...possible hypothermia?" Aria (Nodding in agreement) "For the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, yes...I can tough out four days for the ART, the WINE, the FOOD, the-" Mike finishes her thought, "The crazy vacation sex?" Aria (Smiles and eyes Mike without responding) Mike asks from off of camera, "What about if we get arrested?!" Aria (Smiles) "It's the Louvre!...And more than likely this will be my only vacation for the next five years...If I have to spend a couple of nights in some far off frozen prison, so be it...it's not like we're carrying drugs or weapons...Just planning on making this whole month as memorable as possible!" The camera jumps to Ian, "I went to the University of North Carolina with Marshall...we red-shirted our freshmen years together...roommates sophomore and junior years, then he blew out his knee after his junior year and never got back on the field...luckily for him, he had the family to fall back on...I played my senior year, graduated, then I started investing. Could have got drafted in the NFL...but I would've had to work my ass-off...Investments-made some quick bank, so that afforded me the time and resources to travel and climb..."Money Marshall" kept telling me he wanted to take me on a vacation...Never fucking knew he would give me a mountain NO-ONE has climbed!...Fucking love that dude!" Marshall "...So, Bouvet is this island, surrounded in this mystery...it's surrounded by fog all year round, that's why you can't see shit on Google maps...or so they say...you got Norse.org...it tracks hacking attacks by other countries...and Bouvet, this tiny little island, in the middle of nowhere...has a military designation...SOMETHIN ain't right there...ESPECIALLY since the land is "uninhabited"...then you have the Norwegians, who own the land, claiming its a "bird sanctuary"...but-fuckin, riddle me this, WHAT birds travel THAT far south...next to the fucking Antartica?!?...SOMEBODY explain that to me!" The camera cuts back to Michael as Tony is seen leaving the room, and Michael sets back down. The door closes and Mike looks back before leaning close to the camera, speaking in a lower tone, "I love that guy...So...where was I?...Chw-chw-chw-chuu...yeah, my last year...if...it wasn't for this film...with the boys...I probably would have just had an "accident" while I was out on the boat, fishing...So...if things go south with this..."film"...I'm not too worried about not coming back...I kinda gave up on happiness awhile ago." The screen fades to black. Date: November 29th, 2015 Time: 4:37 am (1 hour into trip) Location: 40 nautical miles south of Cape Town, South Africa Tony looks into the camera, it focuses on him as everything behind sways with the current. Tony "Ok, this is the first entry on our journey...We've just left port in Cape Town...Captain Serge says we SHOULD arrive at Bouvet in about 3 days...I don't know if it's jet lag, or the waves...but I'm so beat right now...These waves, these-fucking waves!...I won't be sleeping well till we hit solid land again...Sad to say, but I already cannot-wait till we hit rock...even if it IS frozen." The camera spins away from Tony as he attaches the "Go Pro" camera and leaves the confined room. Tony walks along a narrow hallway, then turns right and begins ascending a narrow staircase. After climbing two flights, he turns and walks into the wheelhouse. Mike and a man are already looking out into the blue. Mike stands facing out into the vast ocean inches away from the glass. The man sets at the helm, computer monitors in front of him. His radio squawks to life in French, and he passively changes the dial as he notices Tony. Tony (Looking towards the man) "Ok world, this is Captain Serge...the man behind the helm." Serge (Looking at the camera with hesitation) "Hell-o Mr. Tony!...What is this you wear?" Mike (Jolting out of his trance and noticing Tony) "Whoa, didn't even hear you come up here guy!" Tony "Got you GOOD, fucker!...Oh my god...it's fucking ENDLESS out there!...This?...This is one of the "Go Pro" cameras we are rocking for the film." Tony looks past Mike and out the windows to a vast ocean in every direction. The lights of Cape Town getting smaller on the horizon with each passing second. Captain Serge looks out the corner of his eye towards Tony, and silently jots something down on a small notepad, then places it in his shirt pocket. Serge (From off of camera) "She's very beautiful, no?" Tony turns to see Serge barely looking up from his monitors. Tony (To Serge) "So Serge, you've been a captain for...?" Serge (Not looking up) "I am 52...That makes...twenty-one...twenty one years a captain...I have been on the sea for... over thirty years now...Since I was 16." Tony "Jez-us!...So, you've been on the ocean for longer than any of US have been alive!?" Serge (Still looking down) "Yes, yes, captain Serge is old...Let us laugh at his age." Tony "Hah-hah, NO!...I was wondering...have you ever...seen anything-" Serge (Interrupting) "What?...Paranormal?...Aww...yes, yes, many times." Tony (Double taking, then holding the shot on Serge) "You, you did?!...SWEET!...Where?...And WHAT did you see?!" Serge (Looking from his monitors, then around his area) "Lights...sounds...somzing that came up from ze water-" Serge fishes around as he speaks. Lifting a magazine he fetches his cigarettes and puts one to his mouth. Serge (Continuing, motioning with his hands) "...It comes up, lights up ze sky, and POOF!...It disappears behind clouds in less than ze second..." Tony looks to Mike and exchange surprise, Tony then looks back to Serge. Tony "WHERE?!...WHEN?!" Serge (Smiling, he looks from the window then towards them) "The last time...The last time I went to Bouvet." Mike and Tony look to each other, speechless. Tony (Stuttering) "You...you...se-serious?!" Tony looks to Mike again, who moves to the front window, looking out without a response. Serge lights the cigarette off of camera, Tony looks from Mike then to Serge. Serge (Smiles as the smoke seeps from his mouth) "Yes...three days...You keep those cameras ready, no?..." Serge clicks his radio over a notch, then grabs the handset and his voice is heard over the ships intercom: "Good morn-ning lady and gents, we are now in international waters, which means we are at the beginning of our twelve day journey to ze end of ze world...We are on a steady pace to reach Bouvet in three days...so set back, relax and let Captain Serge take you on a round trip journey to the most isolated and mysterious island in ze world." Serge (Clicking the radio back then hanging up the handset and looking back to Mike and Tony) "If you boys brought any mind altering drugs...now would be ze time to take them...or share." Tony (Looking to Mike) "Yeah, I'm gonna go burn one and crash the fuck out...Captain, you are definitely more than welcome to any of my fine Amsterdam kush...no?...Ok, well it's there, I SHOULD have enough to last us-" Serge (Interrupting) "No, thank you, Mr. Tony, not with all these nosey cameras around." Tony (Looking to Mike) "You coming?" Mike (Looking back from the window) "No man, I better set up...That shit put me on the ground the other day...I'll end up sea sick and forgetting my job." Tony "Alright man, wake me when you guys are wanting to eat...I think a couple hits, and I'll be sleeping like a stoned baby...You ahh...want this?" Tony motions upwards, and Mike nods. The "Go Pro" shifts then spins around, facing out the front window. The sky slowly turning from dark purple to light blue. Tony is heard descending the steps. Mike (From off of camera) "So Serge, about those lights...how far from Bouvet were you...when you saw...whatever it was?" Serge (From off of camera) "What?...You want details of camp fire story too?" Mike (From off of camera) "I traveled halfway across the globe, I'm just looking for the truth...no fairytales." Mike grabs the "Go Pro" camera, placing it on his head it faces Serge, his face colored in concern. Serge "Ahh....about 20-30 kilometers off of coast...Alexi and I were only ones in wheelhouse...You can ask him, he remembers, like yesterday...He loves UFO-conspiracy thing..." Mike "Alexi?...That's your "number two" guy, right?...(Serge nods without responding)...How long have you worked together?" Serge (Pauses to think before responding) "Since...2000 and two, so a good thirteen years now." Mike "Thirteen years on the ocean together?!...Jeez, how the hell did you two last together, SO-LONG?!" Serge (Pauses before responding) "What is it exactly, you are in search for?" Mike (Sighing) "I'm just tired of living with all the lies...the government, the bullshit media, the classified secrecy...I just want to know...the truth...I lost everything I loved in this world...I want-I NEED a reason to...believe in something again." Serge looks to Mike without responding, then looks out the window. Serge (Looking around the horizon) "Trust me comrade, you will see...you will see." Date: November 29th, 2015 Location: Estimated 300 nautical miles into international waters (4 hours at sea) Time: 7:27 am The cameras turn on one by one, filming begins in the wheelhouse, the kitchen, in the crew's quarters, and from the wheelhouse windows a camera films down towards the front of the ship and another films its rear. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike sets in front of two laptops; on the screen to the left, six closed circuit shots show the ship in different quadrants of the screen. Mike waves his left hand upwards, and on the screen the quadrant in the upper left corner flashes his hand a second later. Mike (To himself) "Aaand...were a go...Ehh, one second delay...not shabby Mike...Fucking pro-fessional." Mike pulls up some of the screens, looking closely at his shots he leans towards the screen. In the kitchen a man stands with his back towards the camera, over a stew on the range. Turning around he notices the camera and flips it off. Mike (Noticing) "Aww...nice Alexi...thought we were cool." Mike minimizes the screen then pulls up the crew's quarters. On the left of the screen Tony sleeps in the top bunk. Lying facedown, his ass is exposed, revealing no clothes on his body. Underneath of him, two sets of feet are visible in one bunk. Mike (Snickering to himself) "Fuc-kin Tony." Mike quickly minimizes the screen, then maximizes others, checking his system for flaws. Mike (To himself) "Where you at Ian?" Mike pulls out his phone, then scrolls to the "Go Pro" application. Bringing it up, it shows a listing of five cameras, with two running currently. Mike clicks on the other and pulls up Ian's view from the side of the ship overlooking the ocean. Mike (Fumbling for a walkie) "Ian, you copy?" On the screen his voice echoes the question, and Ian waves his right hand in front of the camera. Ian (Through the walkie) "Go for Ian." Mike (Into walkie) "What's your twenty?" Ian (Through walkie) "Side of the ship. Smoking a joint...What's YOUR twenty?" Mike (Snickering to himself, then responding) "At the hub, checking my equipment, making sure everything is running properly." Ian (Speaking into the walkie while holding his breath) "It's working. Get out here!...wow-awow-awow-awow-cough-cough-COUGH!...Get away from your nerd computers-COUGH-COUGH!...and-COUGH-help me finish this guy." Ian holds the joint up in front of the "Go Pro" camera. Ian (Speaking into the walkie) "Aghh-Ahhh...Hurry up and get out here...Aghh...I'm fuckin....I'm fucking ripped...Get out here. No means yes. Ian out, over!" Mike chuckles to himself, then groans and reluctantly gets up. Leaving the laptop in the small storage room behind. Mike turns and closes the door and locking it. In the dimly lit hallway, Mike turns and is immediately startled by a face right in front of him. Mike jumps as a large African male stands imposingly close. His face lowered in an evil manner, his eyes wide and stern, focused on Mike. Mike (Startled) "Whooa!...Jez-us-fuck!...Ahh-err, hi. We ahh, haven't...met, my name is Mike..." The man continues to stare past the camera and directly into Mike. Mike pauses, and a couple of seconds pass before the man slowly looks up to the camera lens. The man stares into the camera in an intimidating manner, looking down upon Mike. Mike (Stuttering) "...Mike or...Michael or..." The Man (Interrupting) "I-DON-CARE-WHUT your name is!" The man eyes Mike up and down, then makes direct eye contact again. Mike (Unsure) "Oh-kay..." The Man "You da-man?" Mike just shakes his head sideways without responding. The Man "The MONEY-man?!" Mike "Ah-oh!...No, that's Marshall, he's-" The Man (Interrupting) "He the reason you bring us ALL to the darkness!...That island...some dark places don't need no light!" Mike doesn't respond, waiting for the man. The Man (Looking the "Go Pro" over with slight curiosity) "Hmm...WHEN they come...this...gonna be worthless." Mike (Unsure) "They"...What do you...mean-exactly?" The Man (Smiling disingenuously) "...Don't you worry "American"...You and your friends GONNA SEE! You and your friends are taking us all to the end of da world!" The man walks through Mike, bumping him to the side of the small hallway. Mike (Watching the man walk past) "No-no, excuse ME, son!...That's called "manners"!...It comes from Kentworth, Indiana!...United States of Murrica!...(to himself)...mother-fucker!" The man disappears down the hallway without turning back or responding. Mike pauses a moment then shakes his head in disbelief, and turns to begin walking. The camera cuts, jumping in time. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) On the deck of the "The Surge ". Mike "So...let me get this straight...the REASON you two IDIOTS are even thinking about climbing a mountain made of ICE, that IF you make a mistake- Ian (Holding a lit joint, interrupting) "IF!" Mike (Pausing then continuing) "IF, you make a mistake, you have NO CHANCE of rescue...NONE!...All in the name of MONEY?!" Ian (Stating matter -of-factly) "Yes! LOTS of it too!...Yeah man, it's what I do...Someone tells me I can't climb something, I just find a way to tell em "fuck you"...and then to PAY ME for FOUNG SO!...I mean, this trip is no different...How do you think Marshall got some of this trip financed?...He can't pull a hundred thousand out of his trust-" Mike (Interrupting) "THIS-TRIP cost A HUNDRED-THOUSAND?!" Ian (Nodding with complete confidence) "Easily...passports, hotel, airfare, food, water, equipment, survival gear, boat and fuel, plus the fact that we're breaking international laws...so we had to find someone willing to risk his boat, crew, and his life taking us...This shit hasn't been cheap just getting to THIS point." Mike (Shaking his in disbelief) "I can't believe Marshall didn't say anything about Olav Peak!...I mean, do you seriously think he's ready to climb that?!" Ian "No, he's not...and he knows it...were just taking him up to the first leg then Tony and I will go up the rest...We just need a couple of pics, plant a GPS marker and leave their flag-" Mike (In feigned astonishment) "On the most remote island in the world"...Jeez, THAT'S gonna be their marketing slogan for YEARS!" Ian (Nodding along) "I know, I know...stupid, but this one stunt alone is paying for HALF the trip!...How else you think Marshall can take Aria to Paris after dropping a hundred grand on a vacation to the Antarctic?" Date: November 30th, 2015 Location: Estimated 650 nautical miles into international waters in the Atlantic Ocean (Roughly 13.5 hours at sea) Time: 9:30 pm from Mounted Camera (Kitchen) Aria, Marshall and Ian come into the room as three other men set at the table. The men immediately begin eating faster, and the two African men get up and leave. The Caucasian male takes his plate to its sink and rinses it clean with out looking to the group. Marshall "Hi man, my name is Marshall-" The man (Walking past Marshall) "Don't fucking care what name is." The man walks out of the kitchen, and the three look to each other confused. Aria and Ian set down as Marshall stands eyeing the direction of the door for a moment. Serge walks into the room with a welcoming smile. Serge "Hello Mr. Marshall, how is trip, thus far?" Marshall (Eyeing Serge uneasily) "It was fine until a minute ago...You're white boy...got a real SHITTY attitude on him." Serge "Oh!?...Alexi!?...That does not sound like him...He must be stressed over the money, fishing is like American lotto, no?...You paid us, handsomely...but the sea, she can net a good crew four times what you offered us." Marshall "If it's a money thing, let your boy know, everybody will be getting a HUGE bonus, IF we make it back to Cape Town WITHOUT any more incidents...I'm NOT paying for shitty attitude!" Serge (Waiving Marshall's anger down) "Don't you worry Mr. Marshall...Serge, will speak to Alexi, there will be no more troubles for you, or your crew." Serge shakes Marshall's hand then disappears out the the door, and Marshall looks to Aria and Ian taken back. Marshall "Do you guys feel...like...I don't know...shit just seems...fucky." The camera cuts as Marshall sets down with the two. Date: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2015 Location: 50 nautical miles from Bouvet Island (84 hours at sea) Time: 5:45am From Wheelhouse Camera Serge sets behind the laptops overlooking the controls as the sun comes up over his left. Ahead of him, thin grey clouds cover the skies out the windows. From Front Deck Camera The ocean waves are choppy and swaying deep pitches. In the distance a small island is barely visible behind grey fog clouds. From Wheelhouse Camera Serge (Walking to the front window) "Ах... Буве... Вы готовы показать нам ваши питания?" (In subtitles) "Ahh...Bouvet...are you ready to show us your power?" Serge walks over to the laptops, cigarette in mouth. As the lighter flicks, his eyes drift up towards the camera and holds an uneasy look towards it before giving it his back. Serge removes something from his vest jacket and tucks his head over a small illuminated screen. Seconds pass, then Serge tucks the item back into his jacket and ashes his cigarette out the window. The camera cuts and jumps in time. Date: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2015 Location: 30 nautical miles from Bouvet (86 hours at sea) Time: 8:00 am From the Wheelhouse Camera Serge stands in front of the laptops; facing out the front, a new unlit cigarette hanging from his mouth. Serge reaches up to the walkie and clicks a notch before speaking over the ship. Serge (Over intercom) "Wakey-wakey it is Christmas Day, and Captain Serge has present for all you good boys and girl...We are less than one hour from landing at our destination...Bouvet...Please spend this time getting your gear ready as our good friend, Alexi, will be taking you ashore...Meet with him on deck, as he will be going over our safety protocols on the open ocean...Thank you for sailing with us on "Serge's Surge", we will see you again in four days. Be safe, and don't bring the aliens on board, Captain Serge's only rule...Good luck, and Godspeed!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Tony) Inside the small cabin room, Ian, Marshall and Tony scramble to check their gear, making sure they have everything in a rush. No words are exchanged outside of a few swear words as each bump into each other. "From Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike sets alone in the kitchen, his gear setting in front of him in two piles. A half empty coffee mug steams to his left, a cigarette slowly burning in front of him to his right. On the rear of the deck, Alexi is seen moving the kodiak raft with two other dark skinned men. The trio maneuver it near the rear, then leave it. Alexi watches as the two men haul its motor from the lower deck and attach it to the raft. Alexi fetches the life vests, after inspecting each one, he tosses each inside the raft. Date: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2015 Location: Less than 1 mile offshore from Bouvet (87 hours at sea) Time: 9:15 am From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) Ian sets at the rear of the kodiak raft. Aria and Marshall set at the front, with Mike and Tony behind them in the next row. Their gear bags piled high over their shoulders between them. Ian sets next to a dark skinned man who barely acknowledges him. Behind them, Alexi sets at the motor directing as the choppy waves bounce the small raft. Bouvet appearing closer in small bursts as they ride the waves. The roar of the ocean, and pounding of the waves on the cliffs make the sound from the ocean drown the cameras speakers as Ian looks behind them. The ship anchored close, slowly getting smaller in hops along the water. Ian looks around as mist sprays everyone in their winter gear. Only Tony sets upright, accepting the cold air and colder water coating everyone. His glasses steam covered, a large grin painted on his face. Bouvet is seen close, it's mountains look enormous and stretch the length of the island. A grey fog slowly dissipates as they come closer, revealing more of the dark exposed rock and ice covered mountains. The kodiak's engine is barely audible behind the waves, and Marshall screams something from ahead, then points to the islands massive mountain directly ahead. The words: "Olev Peak" come up in subtitles. Aria takes pictures, her face is of amazement. Mike sets with a small smile, leaning forward with anticipation he looks back and laughs nervously towards the camera. Mike (Looking to Ian and shaking his head, subtitles spell out) "Can you fucking believe this?!" Ian is seen giving Mike and Tony solid pats on their shoulders before shaking them with excitement. Ian looks from the north then slowly to the south, a ridge appearing on the closest bank reveals the small grouping of containers positioned close to each other. Marshall (Looking back, points ahead and mouths) (in subtitles) "Meteorological station!...Our new home!" Date: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2015 Location: Bouvet Island, along the western shore (88 hours at sea) Time: 9:57 am From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria stands back as the men hand off their gear bags in a production line until the kodiak is empty outside of its two crewmen. The four men on shore help shove the kodiak back into the water and help it as it maneuvers back into the shallow waters. Ian and Tony watch as Alexi waves to them from the ship as it slowly fades from view. Marshall grabs a backpack and straps it to himself, before grabbing another gear bag and turns back to the others. Noticing the camera, Marshall flashes a huge smile and raises his arms, presenting Bouvet for the camera. Marshall (Laughing) "Hah-hah-hah!...We DID IT!...We are HERE!...Ahh, to the Norwegian government, just wanted to say...you have such a BEAUTIFUL island here, we were in the neighborhood and all, so we just wanted to stop by, make sure you weren't hiding anything!...hah-hah-hah!...WHHOOOO!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike stands near the rear of the group, allowing Ian and Marshall to lead the way, followed by Aria then Tony to go ahead. The four walk with their heads tucked from the wind. The further along the ridge line they walk, the harder the wind hits them. The sound comes off as static on camera as they get closer to the meteorological station. The five slowly make their way along the rocky terrain covered in clear slick ice. Mike catches Marshall slipping but catching himself as they come closer to the buildings. Aria begins to slip, but Tony moves quickly, catching her they continue their pace as Mike slows to give room. The group's yells slowly fade as the wind picks up and drowns out all other sounds until nothing but static is heard. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Reaching the peak of the ridge the wind drops and the three containers are directly in front of them, less than twenty feet away. Facing each other in a semi circle, each container has its own windowless door. A faintly beaten path litters the ground surrounding the rooms. Aria points to the ground as Ian and Marshall ignore looking to the container rooms. Tony walks in front of Aria and inspects the faint path at their feet. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike catches Tony leaning in close to the tracks on the ground, while Ian and Marshall are seen in the background, inspecting the container rooms. Standing close, Marshall reaches out and checks the door. His hand returns without budging the door. Marshall extends his arms to the door, offering Ian his chance at the door. Ian walks up to the door, eyeing it before lunging his right shoulder into the metal door. It buckles immediately, opening with ease as Ian offers an open door to Marshall. Marshall yells into the wind, but is completely cut out by the strong wind. The camera pans towards the ground as it heads towards the storage containers. As Mike enters the room, the light dims and the room slowly illuminates. Standing inside Tony, Aria, Marshall then Ian enter. Mike looks over to Tony as he closes the door and the wind dies off. Inside, Mike looks around the room. All of the walls are covered in electronics, all buzzing and chirping indiscriminately. Mike walks up to the far wall, computer mainframes stand over six feet tall. A sonar beeps and shows an outline of the island, a red dot beeps where the "The Surge" sets anchored in the water. Mike holds the shot on the sonar monitor before looking back to the group. Mike "I'm sure someone will be able to see us...this is probably being sent to Norway as I speak." Marshall (Smiling broadly) "So what?...No way they can send anyone and get here before we're on our way home...fuck em!" Mike turns back and looks over the outer walls; each covered with different forms of electronics of different shapes and sizes. The computer monitors all setting with bouncing squares on their screens. A 2014 calendar hangs on the wall next to the door, the last month showing is December, the 18th circled. Ian (Looking at the calendar) "What do you think?...Leaving or arriving?" Marshall "I don't know NO scientist who would WANT to come here that they had to circle it on the calendar." Tony (From off of camera) "What do you think these go to?" Mike turns and catches Tony holding a set of keys up to the group. Mike (Walking over) "How many is that?...Is that, is that a snowmobile key?!" Tony (Slowly looking up) "I...don't...know..." Mike snatches the keys from Tony, and separates one key on its separate key ring while giggling. Mike (Excited) "It is! It is!...Oh fuck I can't wait to drive it!" Mike tosses the keys back to Tony and heads towards the door. From "Go Pro" (Aria) Aria watches Mike walk quickly to the door then disappear outside. Aria turns back to the group, Ian, Tony and Marshall all stand looking at each other confused. Tony (Looking perplexed) "Did we...just see him giggling?!" Ian "It's cause he's on land...GOT to be." Marshall (Looking shocked) "I can't remember the last time I heard him laugh...Wasn't he up before all of us?" Tony "So?...What are you sayin?" Marshall "I don't know, guys acting...weird, I guess. Maybe it's nothing-" From off of camera Mike is heard screaming. The group look to each other and hurry outside. At the door the sound of a motor coming to life draws questions. As soon as Aria follows Ian and Marshall outside, Mike is seen revving the engine of a large brand new snow mobile. Three empty seats across the back, with Mike standing at the controls. On the side the word, "Sherpa" is seen before Mike shoots them a large grin, and races off past them. Aria catches Ian, Marshall and Tony looking confused and excited. Tony "Holy shit, we have a snow mobile!" Marshall (Looking in Mike's direction) "What kind of snowmobile is that?!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike is heard giggling through the engine revs and crunching snow, racing the snowmobile he runs in a straight line then makes a large arc and turns the snowmobile back towards the storage containers and the group. Mike pulls up to the group and everyone gathers around the idling then muted snowmobile. Tony comes running over and immediately shoves Mike off of the driver seat. Tony "My turn-My turn-My turn!" Marshall "Where did you get that?!" Mike (Getting off of the snowmobile with key in hand) "The middle container...must be their garage...fucker wasn't locked and they have a huge barrel of gas. She started up like a beast...probably does about 25-30 mph on an open stretch." From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria "What kind of snowmobile is that?" Mike (Looking to Aria) "It's used by search and rescues, scientific teams...they got a trailer in there too. It's got like six more seats...you can transport equipment and people...fucking EXPENSIVE!" Marshall "Doesn't look so great." Ian (Walking past Marshall) "Shut up, money bags!...That beast is gonna save us a TON of walking!...So be thankful we got it!...What else they got in there?" Tony (From off of camera) "Key!...Mike!...Key-me!" Mike (Nods them towards them over) "Let's go take a look what the tax paying citizens of Norway bought us!" Tony (From off of camera) "Mike!...Key-key-key-key-key-MIKE!" Mike turns and walks backwards away from Tony and smiles while holding the key up to him without saying a word, holding up his middle finger with the key on it. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike turns back to the open container garage, the light illuminates the room. Along the long wall tools decorate one side with a first aid kit, a defibrillator a pile of snow skis and walking poles. In the back of the room, the trailer to the "Sherpa" is mostly covered by a tarp. Underneath, a shape forms a rectangle. Mike pulls it and it comes off without much resistance. Boxes stacked five high and still strapped in place. Mike looks close then punches a hole in one of the boxes. Reaching in, his hand comes out full of small plastic bags. Tony (From off of camera) "KEY!" Aria (From off of camera) "What is it, Michael?" Mike (Opening his hand, then calling back) "Ear plugs...must be a supplies...probably just lazy and wanted to leave it for the next crew." Marshall (From off of camera) "Ear plugs?...What do they need ear plugs for?" Mike continues looking over the boxes without responding. From out side Tony is heard honking the "Sherpa's" horn in quick bursts. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) "Could be used as a precautionary measure...prolonged exposure to the cold with out ear protection could lead to infection...more than likely the government pays for this stuff and they just haven't used it." Mike (From off of camera) "Yup!...Just random supplies...got toothpaste..."t-p", mouth wash...oh look!...Smokes!" Aria looks over and sees Mike holding up a pack of cigarettes with a generic French logo. Marshall (Almost annoyed) "Anything worth a dam?" Mike (Looking to Marshall with half a smile) "Oh shoot, there's the secret tunnel blueprints AND a dead alien corpse!...Well, now we can all go home." Ian chuckles and Aria is heard laughing as she looks back to Marshall. Marshall looks up to Mike without reacting. Aria (Reaching out to Marshall) "Marshall?...what's-" Marshall stares at Mike for a couple of seconds; the look in his eyes are glazed over, his mouth hangs slightly open. Aria (Touching Marshall's shoulder) "-wrong?" Marshall (Blinks then looks over to Aria confused) "What's up baby?" Aria looks over to Ian and Mike, who are checking out the tools left behind, then pulls Marshall aside. Aria (Speaking quietly) "You okay babe?...You looked...weird, a second ago...like you weren't there a second ago." Marshall (Looking confused then smiling it away) "What?...I'm fine...must just be tired...just had a ringing in my ear." Tony (From off of camera) "MI-IIIKE!...I-WANT-THE-KEY!" Marshall (Snapping) "MIKE! GIVE-HIM-THE-KEY!" Aria turns from Marshall to Ian and Mike, who are staring at Marshall in silent shock, then back to Marshall who looks shocked at himself. Tony (From off of camera, taken back) "It's-o-kay." Aria (Reacting in shock) "MARSHALL!...What the fuck?!" Marshall (Looking around wide eyed before stuttering an apology) "Mike...I am...SO-SORRY man...I have...NO-IDEA where that came from man!" Mike (Waving it off) "All good...You're just tired hoss...You want me to give him the key?" Aria looks back to Marshall, who is now rubbing his temples with both hands, eyes closed. Marshall (Opening his eyes, then smiling to Aria) "No...Maybe after he cleans his room and does his homework." Mike (Not looking back) "Brilliant...(Calling out to Tony)...Hey T, Marshall says, eat a dick!" The guys share a chuckle and Aria touches Marshall's head with her hand. Aria (Hand to Marshall's head) "A little warm...I want you to take a couple of aspirin, a full glass of water and get some rest-" Marshall (Attempting to protest) "I CAN'T go to sleep right now!" Aria (Sounding confident) "Not asking you to, just get off you're feet and relax for a little bit...let the water rehydrate before you-" Marshall (Interrupting and rolling his eyes) "Yes, dear." Aria "Don't you roll your eyes at me, young man!...Now, come on, let's check what they have." Marshall leads Aria towards the garage door and exits into the bright snow covered ground. Aria looks over to see Ian and Mike heading into the third container room. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike follows Ian into the third container, the light from outside reveals a room full of bunk beds and dressers. At one end of the room a flat screen television sets with a wireless modem underneath. On the other, a sink with an oven and one small counter space. Mike "Kitchen...small." Ian (Grabbing the modem) "Wifi?...They really got wi-fi out here?!" Mike (Looking over the modem) "A web domain so scientists can watch YouTube?...Does that make sense to you?" A closed door is opened off camera, and Mike turns to see Ian looking in the room. Ian (Mildly surprised) "Swe-eet!...We got a commode!...(Followed by the sound of running water)...Hey-hey, we got water!" Ian disappears into the small room. Ian (From off of camera) "Shower!...It's SMALL!...But whatever, toilet too!... Fuck yeah!" Mike looks around the room and begins counting the beds with his right index finger. Mike "We got six beds, running water...Is there a water heater in there?" Ian (Peaking his head out of the bathroom) "Oh yeah, tiny little guy...we'll have to stagger showers...but I wasn't expecting a hot water...I'll fucking wait till 2 am for a good cleaning!...Fuck yeah, BEST-VACATION-EVER!" The screen fades to black. Date: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2015 Location: Norwegian Meteorological Station, Bouvet Island Time: 11:45 am The camera above the entrance to the crews quarters powers on. Its view covers the three buildings entrances and on screen Ian is seen climbing back down a wooden ladder. At the base Tony is seen looking upwards while holding the ladder steady. Ian holds a thumbs up sign until his walkie squeaks to life. Mike (Over walkie) "That's good. We're up and running." Ian slides down the ladder with his feet to the outer rails, catching Tony by surprise. Ian lands on his feet then lunges onto Tony, Tony tries to hold up the larger Ian but falls to the ground with him on top. The two begin wrestling on the ground. Tony is seen grabbing a handful of snow, shoving it in Ian's coat as the two struggle. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall follows Aria into the technology container. Mike is seen setting in front of a laptop; on its monitor has six quadrants up, showing different screen shots. The top left shows Ian and Tony still wrestling. Next to it, he sees himself setting at his laptop, the view from over his left shoulder. Mike (Turning to see Aria and Marshall) "We're up and running boss...I left a couple of cameras up on the ship, we can still see what's happening...Looks-pretty-boring." Marshall leans in and captures the three remaining squares still running. The live feed from the rear of the deck shows the two unknown men carrying the kodiak off screen. The camera feed from the front shows an empty deck, Bouvet Island in the distance. The view from the wheelhouse shows Serge and Alexi in silent conversation. Both standing with their backs to the camera, looking out the window towards Bouvet. Alexi is seen motioning with his hands towards the island. Marshall (Noticing the interaction) "Any way we can listen in on that conversation?" Mike (Off of camera) "Give me a minute, and...yeah." The wheelhouse is maximized, Serge and Alexi are heard arguing through the monitor's speaker in Russian. Alexi "Что вы подразумеваете, что они не будут здесь до пятницу?... Вы послали их сообщение, правильно?! (In subtitles) "What do you mean they won't be here till Friday?...You sent them a message, right?!" Serge "Алекси, вы думаете, что они могут просто появляются?! ... Это 1000 милях от ближайшей базы!... Сделайте некоторые хотели, прежде чем действовать!" (In subtitles) "Alexi, you think they can just appear?!...It's 1000 miles from the closest base!...Do some thinking before you act out!" Alexi turns away from Serge and looks directly to the camera. Marshall "Oop!...Yes, you're still on camera boys...What do you think they're talking about?" Aria "More like arguing." Mike "Whatever they're doing...doesn't look like they want us to see." Both Alexi and Serge slowly walk over to the camera, Serge reaches up and clicks the power off on the camera. Mike "Oh...kay...Looks like we WON'T be watching Serge." Marshall (Looking around) "What...what the fuck was THAT about?!" Ian (From off of camera) "What was what about?" Marshall (Turning to see Ian and Tony come into the room) "Fucking Serge! JUST turned off the camera in the wheelhouse!" Tony (Looking concerned) "What the fuck does that mean?...Does that mean we're...are we STRANDED here?!" Mike (Breathing in frustration) "Hold on...fuck!...I can't pull it back up unless someone physically turns the switch...ON the ship...I've still got the other shots...most importantly the deck shots." The "Go Pro" shakes and blurs as Marshall jerks the camera off his head. The camera blurs as Marshall tosses the "Go Pro" to Aria. Marshall (From off of camera) "Fuck!...Wait, what's so important about the deck shots?" Aria straps the "Go Pro" camera to her head, standing back. Mike (Pulling up their shots) "We can see their position...see if they're moving, or sending the kodiak back, or-" Aria "See if they're leaving us?" Mike looks back to Aria, then to his screen without responding. Tony "If they leave us...how long can we survive here?" Mike "According to my research, supposedly they have enough food stored here for a six month expedition...I didn't check all the food-" Marshall (Interrupting) "Ian, you and Tony go get a count on food...IF we are getting left...I want to know what we have for a backup plan." Aria looks back to see Ian and Tony grabbing their coats before heading back into the bright light outside. Mike (Still staring into the laptop) "What do you want me to do boss?" Marshall (Grabbing his coat) "Stay here...Tell me if any other cameras turn off...or if they start moving!" Aria (Following Marshall in confusion) "What?-WHERE do you think you are going?!" Marshall (Not looking back) "Gonna try and call the ship...act like we don't know about the camera...see if I can't get a read on that fucker." Aria "WHY are you going outside then?!" Marshall "I don't have shit for reception at camp...I had a bar back at the beach...I'll be right back, HONEST!" Aria watches as Marshall disappears out into the bright cold, then the room returns to its artificial light. Aria looks back to Mike, who looks concerned gazing into the laptop. From Mounted Camera Marshall is seen walking away from camp and disappearing over a ridge. Tony comes out of the garage container and watches Marshall walk away before Ian comes out and watches. The two look at each other then head back into the garage. From "Go Pro" Camera Aria watches Mike at the laptop type without results. Mike shakes his head in silence. Aria gets up and walks over to the sonar monitor and taps the screen, before looking back. Aria "Marshall got a satellite phone right?...How long would it take for someone to get here?" Mike (Still looking to the screen) "More than likely...they would come from Australia...Take a week, and we'd be immediately arrested for trespassing...that's if..." Aria "If what?" Mike (Looking over straight faced) "If Serge and his crew aren't who they say they are..." Aria (Coming over closer) "What...what do you mean?" Mike clicks on the keyboard and pulls up a screen shot from the ship before they landed. Serge stands at the helm, then Mike speeds up the footage until Serge turns his back to the camera. Mike (Pausing the screen) "Here...look...he's texting, you can the screen light him up...see?" Aria (Leaning in close on the the paused shot) "Who would he be texting?...This close to the island?!...Mike, is he...is he telling someone we arrived?" Mike saves the image then maximizes it on the laptop before responding. Mike (Looking from the screen then to Aria) "Looks like it...We know someone ELSE knows we're here...that means SOMETHING is here...and we have three days to find it before they arrive." The door opens and Aria turns to catch Ian and Tony come back in with nothing in their hands, concerned looks on their faces. Ian (Taking off his coat) "I don't know what research you did but...no food, ANYWHERE...Just medical and cleaning supplies...They must just bring food " Mike (From off of camera) "Fuck!" The four stand in silence for a moment before Marshall comes back in angry. Marshall (Slamming the door and ripping his jacket off) "That LYGING-MOTHER-FUCKER!...Tried to tell me, tell me "Oh, Mr. Marshall, the cam-era must be on fritz"...Fucking-" Aria "He told you it's not working?...But-" Tony "He fucking LIED!" Ian "Which means-" Mike "We're STUCK here...until Serge's friends show up." Marshall (Looking around) "What do you mean..."Serge's friends"?" Mike sucks on his teeth and silently points to the screen. Marshall walks over and leans in towards the screen. Marshall (Whispering) "Shit." Aria "Marshall...what do we do?" Marshall is seen looking towards the ground, his eyes darting as he contemplates without response. Ian "There's a life raft...we have to blow it up...but we could head out, at low tide...possibly take the ship-" Mike (Interrupting) "We have ONE-GUN!" Aria (Looks from Mike to Marshall) "We have a GUN?!...WHO the hell thought THAT was a good idea?!...MARSHALL?!?" Marshall (Looking up calmly) "We go about business as usual-" Tony "Whhhaat?" Marshall (Continuing) "We made it here, tomorrow we climb "Olav"...Make sure we get that footage first off...Mike you and Aria stay here and watch those cameras...if anything changes, walkie us...Tony, I want you to go scout any area close to shore we can hide, IF they send a team after us." Aria "Marshall, the gun-" Marshall (Looking at Aria annoyed) "Yeah, and we're gonna need it!...If they send in a team, they would come straight here...We'll need to be close to shore, so we can steal whatever they bring to shore...The GUN will be used to make Serge drive us back to Cape Town!" Tony (Grabbing his coat) "On it!" On Mounted Camera Tony is seen walking out of the technology room into the garage unit, before returning with a blue tarp under his left arm, then disappears over the ridge, heading in the direction of the shore. From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) Aria takes the "Go Pro" off and sets it facing Mike across the room on a counter. Mike shakes his head as he stares into the laptop. Time is sped up and members of the team are seen entering and moving around the room, then disappear and return with steaming bowls in their hands. The group sets around the laptop as they eat, Mike barely looking away from the monitor. The group finish their meals and set around together. Marshall is seen pacing around the room, rubbing his temples. Tony takes the dishes from everyone and disappears only to return with his backpack. Tony sets down in the middle of the room and begins to unload its contents. At the bottom, wrapped in a shirt, Tony unwinds the 9mm pistol, and hands it off to Marshall. Tony unwinds another shirt, which drops a metal tin to the ground. Tony opens the tin and reveals a ziplock baggie with joints inside. Tony sparks a joint then passes it among the group, Marshall passes, continuing to pace and look at the laptop. Mike reluctantly takes the joint, never taking his eyes off the laptop. Later, Aria gets up and disappears, followed by Ian. Tony staggers to his feet, stepping over his backpack his left foot catches the strap. Tony trips and spills the contents. Marshall continues to pace, not acknowledging, Mike doesn't look away from the laptop. Tony is seen walking across the room, backpack around his ankle, until he grabs his coat, and fishes the backpack from his leg. The camera slows and captures Mike at the laptop, beginning to nod off. Marshall paces, his right hand rubs his temple. Marshall "Nothing new?" Mike mumbles something inaudible without looking up. Marshall walks over and pats Mike on the shoulder causing him to look up surprised. Marshall "Go get some rest man...You've been at this for hours...I'm not tired...I can do the watch." Mike (Rubbing his eyes with both palms) "Yeah...wait, you sure, boss?" Marshall (Pulling Mike's chair out) "Go." Mike (Noticing the "Go Pro" camera) "I gotta refresh the "Go Pro" Marshall nods without responding as Mike reluctantly gets up, then walks across the room. The camera blinks off then back on. Mike leans in front of he camera and waves, then looks back to the monitor before walking past the camera's view. Marshall looks over past the camera, then back to the laptop. The camera speeds up, Marshall stays setting in front of the laptop. The camera slows back down, and a white time stamp appears: 2:57 am. Marshall is setting at the laptop, looking into its screen then turns to look around the room. In the silence, a high pitch noise slowly grows. Marshall looks around the room, then gets up and begins checking the instruments around the room. The sound changes pitch, which tunes to a higher resonance, Marshall immediately head twitches and begins to feverishly stalk around the room, randomly checking anything within arms reach, while still rubbing his temple. The sound gets slightly louder, causing the "Go Pro" camera to move in and out of focus and blurring parts of its screen. Marshall starts storming around the room, looking around confused, his right arm continuously rubbing his temple as his eyes dart in every direction. Marshall (Looking around in every direction) "What?...What-what?!...Where?" The sound jumps in frequency, causing the camera to lose control of its image. Marshall's body looks distorted in the image, but can be seen lunging onto his toes, his body is arched backwards, seemingly defying gravity. His body holds in the air, as a sound of an inhuman demonic growl comes from his mouth. His eyes rolled back in his head, completely white. His arms, above his head, his fingers moving faster than humanly possible. Flashes of light are seen coming from his hands. The sound raises to a fever pitch causing the screen to go to static then dies in an instant. The camera returns to normal, and Marshall falls to the ground. Unmoving; his body randomly twitching, fingers moving randomly, his mouth jerks. A small stream of blood comes out of his closed left eye. The camera speeds up as Marshall lies on the ground, unmoving for fifteen minutes. The camera slows down, as Marshall slowly wakes up. His right hand moves, then Marshall slowly sets up, rubbing his temple, he looks around, then to the laptop. Marshall gets up, then groggily makes his way back towards the only light in the room. Collapsing into the chair, Marshall shakes his head and looks around the darkness before his eyes return to the screen, still rubbing his temple. The "Go Pro" speeds up for another four hours with Marshall setting forward, never taking his eyes from the screen. Date: Wednesday, December 3rd, 2015 Location: Norwegian Meteorological Station Time: 7:15 am From Mounted Camera Ian is seen leaving the living container with two steaming cups in both hands. Wearing only a pair of shorts and tank, he tiptoes across the snow and into the technology container. From "Go Pro" Camera (Sitting across room) Marshall doesn't notice as Ian enter, still staring into the screen. Ian walks over to Marshall and sets the steaming cup in front of him. Marshall sets back and looks to Ian confused. Marshall (Looking around) "You gonna get some sleep? Or..." Ian (Looking at Marshall in confusion) "You okay boss?...I left you like, seven hours ago." Marshall (Reacting in disbelief) "What?!...No you didn't..." Ian "Marshall...it's 7:00am!...Did you SERIOUSLY stay up ALL-NIGHT?!?" Marshall looks towards Ian without responding. Ian "Holy-shit, guy!...WHEN was the last time you slept?!" Marshall (Sighs, looking to the screen) "The boat." Ian "Alright, don't let Aria know...She'll be EXTRA worried...are you even thinking about "Olav"?" Marshall (Looking from the laptop) "I'm good." Ian (Walking over to Marshall, and leaning close) "Are you, man?...The climb? You're in no condition to go up there-" Light from the door opening stops Ian in mid sentence. Aria (From off of camera) "Are you trying to talk him out of going out there?" Ian (Hesitating) "No, I was saying, the conditions...look good...and Marshall isn't doing the second half-" Aria (Interrupting) "And HOW-LONG will you be leaving me MR?!" Marshall looks up, his eyes slowly blink to Aria without response. Ian (Coming over) "Ahh...it's about twelve hours...doesn't look too bad-" Aria (Still looking towards Marshall) "Mars?...Where you at?...MARSHALL?" Marshall stares towards Aria without responding. From behind the camera, the light from the door opening, turns Aria's attention. Mike enters the shot then comes towards the camera, picking it up, he checks it over then returns it to counter. Aria and Ian look to Mike, without speaking. Marshall continues to stare at Aria without responding; his eyes glazed over, his face slowly turning downwards, eyes still fixed on Aria. Mike (Not looking back) "He looks like shit...I'll go instead-" Aria (Back to Marshall) "THANK-YOU-Marshall!...Ian, will you LISTEN?...You boys DON'T need him-" Ian (Back to Marshall) "Hey, I'm good with WHOEVER is going!...There's NO argument from me, I'm down for taking two "Hu-rah's"." As Aria turns back to Marshall, Marshall closes his eyes. Aria (Turning back to Marshall) "It's settled!...Marshall, you're STAYING here with-" Marshall (Eyes jetting open, focused on Aria) "I'm GOING!" Aria jumps back, in shock. Mike freezes in mid stride towards the laptop. Ian moves his hand towards Marshall's shoulder. Marshall (Reacting, jumping to his feet) "DON'T fucking touch me!...I SAID I would DO "Olav", I'm gonna FUCKIN-DO "Olav"!" Ian (Hands go up defensively) "Ok-ok-ok!" Marshall (Pointing to Ian with two fingers) "I gave you MY-WORD I'd do the climb...WHAT, you think I CAN'T?!...I'm too WEAK?!" Mike (Coming in between Marshall and Ian) "No, no man...that's not it-" Ian (Stunned) "No!...Definitely NOT the case man!" Aria (Holding a hand out to Marshall) "Mars..baby..." Marshall (Looking around to everyone) "I'm GOING-TO do that climb!...Ain't NONE of you gonna stop me!" Mike "Bro..." Marshall stops and looks to Mike for a moment, his eyes blink and face changes. Mike (Continuing) "...get some coffee in you...You're gonna need it for the trek." Marshall stops then looks around confused. Mike moves closer, and grabs the coffee mug in front of him, then hands it to Marshall. Marshall takes the mug and walks out of the camera's view. The door opens, and the light causes the three to shield their eyes, before the door closes and the room returns to dim. Aria, Ian and Mike look to each other in panic. Aria "What-the-FUCK-was-that?!...WHO was that?!" Ian (Trying to calm Aria) "Look, he didn't get ANY sleep last night-" Aria (Interrupting) "OH!...And he's SOMEHOW "ok" to go out into the frigid-fucking-cold?!" Ian "He's NOT doing any serious climbing...ONLY some steep hiking...And you heard him...He's definitely NOT staying back...We HAVE to have someone getting us going the second half-" Aria "IAN!...Are you KIDDING-ME?!...You think I give a FUCK about about the footage?!...THAT'S NOT Marshall!" Mike "Aria, the insomnia is fucking with him right now...Ian's right...Marshall won't allow ANYTHING to stop him, if he vows to do something...How about this, I will put a camera on him, personally monitor him the ENTIRE-TRIP...The SECOND I see, or FEEL trouble, I will head straight for him, and DRAG him, kicking and screaming back to you!...I PROMISE!" Aria's face changes, and Ian takes the opening. Ian "I don't know...maybe the grueling hike will help put him down for the night, I mean, we're going to do it as easy as possible...but being out there...WILL drain the shit out of him." Aria (looking to the door, then responding) "You two BETTER be on top of your game!...I MEAN IT!...No fucking around, and get him back here, safe!-" VROOM-VRROOOOOOOOMMMMM! An unfamiliar sound stops Aria and rushes off camera followed by Ian. The door opens and the room illuminates white light, Mike stays in the view, looking out the door. Tony (From off of camera, screaming over the engine) "YEEEE-HAAAAW!...FUCK-YOU, MIKE!...FOUND the key!" Mike shakes his head en turns and head towards the laptop. The snowmobile's engine revs, and is heard heading away from camp. The door closes and Ian comes back into the camera's view. Ian "Mike-Mikey-hey...So, something is FUCKY with him...give us two cameras...more eyes on him, the better." Mike "Are you fucking SURE about this?!...I CAN go...I have NO-PROBLEM-" Ian "I know-I know...Just keep to the plans...Tony and I can handle it-" The sound of the snowmobile coming back is heard, and followed by the sound of crunching. Ian closes his eyes without finishing. Mike busts out laughing, as Ian just nods his head without opening his eyes. The camera jumps ahead in time, and resumes filming from the Mounted camera. Ian, Marshall and Tony all get on the "Sherpa", it's left front fin and body shell are damaged. Ian takes the driver seat. Marshall and Aria share a passionate kiss, Aria holds on to Marshall unwillingly to let go. Marshall and Tony get on and set behind, their gear separating them. Aria and Mike head over to the technology container door. The trio wave back, then turn away from the campsite and slowly drive off out of the camera's view. Aria and Mike watch them disappear, then Mike heads inside. Aria stands outside, watching for a minute before following Mike inside. From "Go Pro" (Sitting across the room) Mike walks over to the laptop and begins to sip from his coffee mug. Aria comes back and walks over to the sonar. Mike sets back then looks over to Aria. Mike "Maybe, we should go stretch our legs before they get too far away." Aria (Turning back, slightly confused) "What do you mean?" Mike "So, Marshall had Tony go build us a blind IF someone was coming to...whatever...So...TONY, is the only one who knows where it's at...Maybe we should find it BEFORE we need to know where it's at." Aria "BOTH of us?" Mike "No...One of us can go...the other can stay, and keep an eye on the cameras...I can go...if you want to stay." Aria "What?...You think I don't want to go out into the cold, walk a mile, hunt for some random...what is it? A "blind"?....What the hell is that?" Mike (Chuckling) "It's a man-made structure, to hunt or watch and not be seen in...hunters make them...I should probably go...since I know what Tony would look for." Aria (Smiling) "Yeah...you probably should...I don't feel like freezing to death." From "Mounted Camera" Mike is seen leaving the technology container and heading into the living container, before returning in his full winter gear. Mike knocks on the technology door, then turns to wave at the camera before walking away from the campsite. Mike walks over the ridge and disappears out of the camera's view. From "Go Pro" (Tony) Tony films over Ian's left shoulder as he drives the snowmobile up a slow rising hill. Tony looks around and films "Olav peak" as they slowly come closer. The mountain gets bigger by the second. Tony looks over and catches Marshall staring off to the right, before panning the camera around the island. Slowly appearing off to the far right, the deep blue of the ocean is spotted in the distance. The camera speeds up as the trio in drive without speaking, only the "Sherpa's" engine is heard for over an hour. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike walks through the light snow across the faded path. The sun glistens across the white snow, revealing a crystal clear day. Mike walks in silence, panning around, he catches the ocean just over the bank to his right. Crunching snow and waves crashing around the reef are the only sounds. From "Go Pro" (Aria) Aria grabs the "Go Pro" and walks back towards the laptop. Aria "Ok, so I was just setting here, and I noticed the outside wheelhouse camera went off!...Mike said the batteries would last three days!...This is the last shot before it goes black." Aria hits the play button and the video reveals the front of the ship, with the sun shinning on the ocean. Bouvet Island sets surrounded in a thick fog. The camera shakes slightly, then goes to black. Aria "...I don't know how to pull up the volume yet...but I wanted to get it down...Doesn't look like they've moved...We can still see the rear of the ship...for now, Fuckers." From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall follows behind Ian and Tony as they trek up a steep slope, the three attached by forty feet of nylon rope. Underneath rocks crunch snow and ice. The three travel in silence upwards, only Marshall's steady breathing is heard in between steps. The camera speeds up as the trio continue upwards, taking a break, then continuing upwards. The day moves from morning to afternoon. The camera slows down as Ian turns and motions to Marshall. Ian and Tony continue upwards as Marshall stops and begins setting up a mounted camera. Behind him, Ian and Tony begin the process of ascending the side of the mountain. Marshall begins unpacking his tent, occasionally looking behind. From "Go Pro" Camera (Tony) Tony follows behind Ian as the two make their way up upwards. The ping's of metal echo throughout the surrounding valley. Ian stays fifteen feet above Tony, looking down he points to footholds and rests. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike walks past the landing shore, following Tony's tacks, he continues looking downwards. Occasionally looking around, he films the scenic island, covered black and white. Past the coast, the land begins a steep incline, and Mike walks along the edge of rock and sand, scanning the ground. Walking another twenty feet he stops, and notices an unfamiliar blue, lying underneath the white snow. Mike walks over to it, and reveals a basic shelter covered in snow. Only a small area reveals the man-made blue of a plastic tarp. Mike looks under the tarp, the area just large enough for the five, held down at its edges by rocks. A deep embankment off the rocks makes the area perfect, with the snow making it look natural and hidden from sight. Mike takes a minute, grabbing multiple handfuls of snow, and covers the blue. Mike walks around the area, and covers another area from the ocean's winds. Mike walks back away from the area, then looks back, taking in the area one last time before turning and begins to head back towards camp. From "Go Pro" Camera (Tony) Tony continues upward, moving just off from Ian's path upwards, hammering a spot then jamming his pickax into the spot, and pulling upwards, small increments at a time. Looking around, he pans the camera to view most of the island. Snow and ice covered mountains slowly fall to the edges of the island, brilliant blues stretch beyond reach past the snow and rock. Tony hammers his pick in, then looks back upwards to Ian. Ian continues to hammer and climb without pause. Tony is heard breathing hard, and stopping to rest for a moment. He pans the camera back down to Marshall, barely visible at his height, then around to the surrounding snow covered mountains. The world surrounding Bouvet, cut off completely by a white fog. Tony (Looking left to right) "Fucking...beautiful...I see why you do this Ian." Tony looks back to the jagged rock surrounding him, and begins to reach for the next hold. Just above his right shoulder, something in the ice catches his attention. Tony looks back to Ian, then over to the spot. Tony climbs over to his right, looking back up immediately as he makes his way over. Tony reaches the spot, and begins to wipe away some excess snow, underneath the snow is pure ice. Tony comes close to the Rock and ice and holds the camera on something underneath the ice. The object is pure black with a metallic shine under the ice. Tony holds the camera close to the object. Tony (Holding the camera on the object) "What...the fuck?...Ian!...Hey, Ian!...Did you see this?!" Tony moves the camera around the object, getting a better angle on it. About three feet in diameter, he keeps the focus on the object. Ian (From off of camera) "What?!...What are you doing T?!...Keep moving...I'll check it on the descend!" Tony looks from Ian back down to the object, then pulls his axe out and begins to chop into the ice. As Tony chops into the ice, Ian is heard from above in between the pings, yelling. Tony ignores, holding the camera on the buried object as he chops and hacks into the ice. After a minute, Tony begins to clear snow dust from his hole, the object appears more distorted under the cracked ice. Tony notices something then stops hacking, holding he camera at an angle he captures a clear shot of the object. Entombed in the ice, the black object now shows small symbols covering it. Tony pauses on the shot, making sure to get the angle that reveals the mystery. From above and below, voices are inaudible to Tony from the wind as he hangs and films the object. Tony takes his right hand, placing it directly on the ice covering the object. Tony "Ohh...what the hell?!...heh-heh-heh...What the fu-" Underneath the ice, a tiny hum is heard, and Tony moves he camera close to the rock. The camera begins to vibrate and distort the screen. Tony moves the camera away from the object, then looks to get a wide angle of what lies directly in front of him. The hum begins to vibrate the side of the rock, and Tony places his hand directly on top of the object. He jerks his hand away in shock, revealing the object to be glowing orange underneath the ice. Tony panics and pulls away from the rock, and begins to attempt to swing to his left in a rush. Rocks begins to fall in front of the object, off the side of the mountain. The vibration grows in intensity, causing more rocks to become lose, and fall off the side of the mountain. Tony reacts by attempting to scramble away from the object, not paying attention to Ian's line. The camera picks up the sound of rocks falling and a scraping of metal, as Tony's camera blurs, then spins uncontrollably. The screen is completely blue, as Tony is heard screaming. The camera view catches the mountain as Tony falls downward, the speed causes the camera to blur. Tony is heard down the free fall descent. Tony (Falling) "NO!-NO!-N-" Tony falls downward, then his body and camera hit something hard, expelling the air in his lungs, he lands with a dull thud. His body stops in a second, and only snow and ice are filmed. Off of camera, Ian and Marshall are heard screaming. In the instant Tony lands, a cracking is heard underneath, and his body falls freely down another pit. The sun is covered as Tony falls underneath the ground, and is swallowed up by ice and darkness. The light from the sun shines through a small hole illuminating the cavern. Snow falling in a powdery dust causes tiny little reflective particles. Tony lands a second time, with another rush of air pouring out of his lungs. The "Go Pro" camera's screen cracks, causing a distortion on the left corner, covering Tony's body in a reflective blur. Tony lies on the ground; left leg sprawled over his right, not moving. From "Mounted Camera" Tony is seen fifty feet in the air, hanging from the side of the mountain. Tony pauses for a minute at a space, then holds his palm out to the rock before the screen flashes a small burst of static directly covering Tony. Tony is then seen scrambling away from the location; trying to swing away from the spot, only to dislodge his carabeener. With it dislodged, Tony begins to fall. The ropes entangle, causing Tony to get caught in the nylon rope. Ian is heard calling out to Tony as he hangs for a split second, before plummeting off of the screen. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall looks around the mountain, filming the two other peaks in the distance. In the background, the ocean surrounds the island, it's waves echo across the island. From off of camera, a scream is heard. Marshall jerks the camera upwards, catching Tony struggling with his rope. From up above, Ian screams out Tony's name before a quick jerk causes Tony to free-fall fast out of view. Marshall pauses, as Ian is heard screaming incoherently. Marshall runs in the thick snow around to the base of the ropes. In the ground, a ten foot hole punctures the snow. Marshall runs over, staying just away from the edge, filming downwards on his knees. The hole is dark, and without a visible bottom. The light from the afternoon creates shadows from deep within. Marshall looks from the hole then up the side of the mountain. Ian is seen struggling to descend, calling out for Tony. Ian (Screaming downwards) "TONY!...TONY-GOD!...Oh-FUCK-FUCK-FUCK!!" Marshall looks from Ian slowly descending, then down to the dark hole underneath. The air gusts, and a powdering of snow dusts the hole. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria sets at the laptop, watching the screen as she sips from a coffee mug. Aria sighs, then gets up and walks around the room. Passively looking around at the meteorological equipment, and flipping the radio channels. The radio bounces noises from static to high pitched squeals. As she's clicks different stations, a male's voice slowly comes in and out of focus. Aria slowly dials the tuner till the voice comes in clear. A male speaks in Russian without response, then repeats itself two more times before abruptly ending and the channel changes to static. Male voice: "... (In subtitles) "...Day two...No events reported...Ship off northwest coast...Waiting for rendezvous...Day two...No events reported...Ship off northwest coast...Waiting for rendezvous...Day two...No events reported...Ship off northwest coast...Waiting for rendezvous..." Aria sets back in her chair, and shakes her head. Aria (Silently to herself) "What the...fuck?" From Mounted Camera Mike is seen walking with his head down towards camp. As he enters the shot, he waves up to the camera and makes his way to the living quarters. Mike heads inside and closes the door. A couple of minutes pass, and the door opens again. Mike walks out of the container room without his winter gear, and walks over to the technology container with a steaming coffee cup in hand. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) The door opens and lights the room, Aria turns and catches a dark figure standing in the doorway. The door closes and the light turns down to reveal Mike standing, red faced and breathing hard. Aria "MIKE!...Thank GOD, TWO things!...ONE, Serge turned ANOTHER camera OFF!...It looks like haven't moved, yet...and TWO, get over here!" Mike (Looking from the laptop then to Aria) "You SURE they haven't moved?-" Aria (Urgently pleading) "Yes! COME-HERE!" Mike registers, then comes over in a hurry. Aria (Leading Mike to the radio) "It's set, right where it was...Like ten minutes ago!...I heard this transmission...not in English...it was long...but had spaces, like-" Mike (Finishing her thought) "Like it was on a loop. Serge is reaching out." Aria "Wait, yeah...how do you KNOW it's Serge?...The radio!" Mike (Walking over to the laptop) "Keep it there, he'll be sending them out again on the hour...Ain't no ships this far in the middle of nowhere...He'll keep trying to reach out-" Aria "What-what are we doing then?" Mike (Chewing on his bottom lip, his eyes dart around before responding) "Reach out to Marshall, the team needs to know-" Aria "Know what, exactly?...We don't know what was said, it could be-" Mike "It could be a lot of things...but the guys need to know, what we know, when we know it." Mike walks over to their handheld walkie, and turns it on. Mike (Into walkie) "Boys, you out there? Over." Mike walks over to the laptop and looks into the screen. Aria "I filmed the the radio transmission!...You could-" Mike (Waving it off) "No point...I don't have any translator apps...We have to wait for Tony...We have two and a half days...We know Serge is reaching out, or TRYING TO...We just got to keep our ears open to the line...Take the walkie, every five minutes, reach out until you make contact." Aria (Taking the walkie) "Ok, wait, what are you doing?" Mike (Getting up from the laptop) "We need to be ready to move as SOON AS POSSIBLE!...I'm getting our essentials ready, and as SOON as they get back, we GOT to be ready to move!" Mike heads towards the door, not looking back. Aria "Mike!...What about Serge?!" Mike (Calling over his shoulder) "I have time to pack...Just KEEP reaching out to Marshall, tell him what we know!" Mike opens the door and shuts it fast enough to blur the lens; and Aria looks back to the laptop, walkie in hand. Aria "Shit!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall runs to different areas surrounding the hole, calling down into the darkness. Marshall "TONY!...TONY!...TONY!!...Come on man...TONY!!" From behind Ian is heard calling out to Tony incoherently as he repels down the last hundred feet. Ian (From off of Camera) "TONY-OH-GOD!...FUCK-ME!" Marshall (Looking back to Ian) "WHAT THE FUCK?!...What did you DO?!" Ian (Repelling down, calling over his shoulder) "Marshall, I secured those lines!-" Marshall (Interrupting) "YEAH WELL, THOSE SECURED LINES WERENT FUCKIN SECURE!" Ian "THAT WASNT ME!...You KNOW THAT!...He's NOT gone yet!...Give me some fucking time...we WILL save him!...Keep TALKING to him!...He COULD BE knocked out!" Marshall (Turning back to the hole) "Are you kidding me?...Fuck!...TONY!...We're coming for you!...DON'T MOVE!" From "Go Pro" Camera ( Aria) Aria sets in front of the laptop, randomly hitting the call button on the walkie, without response. In the bottom of the screen, movement is seen in one of the quadrants, and Aria looks close to it. On the rear of the ship, Alexi is seen with the two dark men. The trio are seen carrying the kodiak raft to the rear. Aria gasps and looks to the door before looking back to the laptop. On the screen, the three men move back off from camera, then return again, carrying the motor. Aria gets up and runs to the door. Throwing it open, the light from outside blinds the camera in white as Aria is heard crunching across the snow. The camera starts to focus as Aria makes her way inside the living container. Mike is seen with gear spread out, and four bags half packed. Aria (Gasping) "Mike!...They're coming!" Mike double takes then rushes past Aria. Aria turns and follows Mike as he rushes from the living container and into the technology container. Mike rushes over to the laptop, and looks closely into the screen. Aria "MIKE?!" Mike (Without looking over) "KEEP CALLING THEM!" Aria looks away as she calls into the walkie again. Aria "Marshall?!...Tony?...Ian?!...SOMEONE RESPOND!" Mike pulls the gun out from the drawer, causing Aria to jerk in response. Aria "Oh-my-God!...That was in here the WHOLE TIME?!...I was THAT close to it!?" Mike's eyes dart to the side then back to Aria Mike "...yeah. So?" Aria "I HATE guns!" Mike (Looking annoyed) "Yeah, well THIS GUN is the ONLY offense we have right now!...Get over it, and keep calling them-" Aria "I HAVE BEEN!-THEY'RE NOT ANSWERING!" Mike looks back to the laptop as he bites his lip and shakes his head. Mike (Jumping up and snatching the walkie from Aria) "FUCK!...(Into the walkie)...GUYS GOD-DAMMIT RESPOND!" Aria looks over to the laptop, catching Alexi and the two men heading towards the kodiak with life jackets on, and assault rifles in hand. Mike (From off of camera) "Aria!...Get your gear, we HAVE TO move!...NOW!" Aria (Stammering) "Mar-mar-Marshall?" Mike (Coming back and grabbing Aria by the wrist) "ARIA!...We HAVE to get to safety, so we CAN save Marshall and the boys!...Now, COME-ON!" Aria is pulled by Mike, and follows stuttering. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mounted) Mike pulls Aria into the living container and returns less than a minute later. Both wearing their winter gear, and carrying two sets of bags. Mike rushes into the technology container as Aria waits outside. Aria waits impatiently outside; then Mike comes out, stuffing his laptop into another backpack. The two hurriedly rush away from the camera's view. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall squats over the hole, as Ian is heard coming down just off of camera. Ian (Off of camera) "I'm coming!...I'm coming T!" Marshall (Calling into the hole) "T!...Were coming now!...Hold on!" Marshall looks back to capture Ian descending the last couple of feet, then lands and loosens the ropes to come to the hole. Ian (Screaming into the hole) "TONY!...WE'RE COMING!" Ian rushes back to the base of the mountain and begins untying his available ropes and then ties two lines to a large rock next to the hole. Ian drops his backpack and grabs another carabeener, and secures it to one of the lines. Marshall "What do you think you're doing?!...I AIN'T going down there!...I don't trust your shit!" Ian (Ignoring as he unpacks another harness) "SHUT-UP!...YOU brought us out here, now step up and be the fucking leader to help save your friend!" Marshall "Dude, I don't fucking know what I'm doing!-" Ian "Yeah, well, according to YOU, neither DO I!" Ian shoves the harness into Marshall and begins securing himself to the line. Marshall watches for a second before shaking his head, then steps through the harness leg slots with response. Ian grabs a head light and looks into the hole. Ian "We'll go slow, keep your back straight, keep a good grip with your left, DON'T look down...You ran for a thousand yards with four o-linemen, you can fucking DO THIS!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Tony) Tony's body appears slowly in the dim light coming from directly above. Left leg crossed over his right, his head tilted downwards. His right hand lies facing upwards, his watch reflects a shine. Unmoving, and without sound, his body rests in the dark. The camera speeds up for twenty six minutes then resumes regular speed. From off of camera the sound of something walking in the dark, towards the camera. A high pitch clicking is heard right off camera, then lowers its pitch. Tony's body jerks by something prodding his body, then hisses close to the camera. A thump is heard as Tony's body jerks and the camera blurs. The sound of a repetitive ticking is heard off of of camera, then Tony's body jerks and begins to slowly drag across the ground. The camera shakes and vibrates across the ground, the sound of scraping is heard as Tony's body moves in small bursts. Then pauses and continues. No sound or movement comes from Tony. Another jerk on Tony's body and the "Go Pro" camera falls off and films the lower half of Tony's body as it moves a foot then stops. Just off of camera, the repeated ticking is heard close to the camera. In the darkness, the camera is picked up and spun around. In the darkness, the outline of a inhuman figure is vaguely seen. The ticking is heard directly in front of the lens, but the darkness inside the tunnel, reveals no details. The ticking is replaced by a intense hissing, then the camera is tossed into the air. A small bit of light is seen before the camera hits the ground, and forces another large crack across its screen. The sound of dragging is heard, slowly moving away from the camera. In the darkness, the sound of dragging echoes for over five minutes while the screen films pure black. After another twenty seconds, a voice calls out, echoing from above. "TO-NY!" From off of camera, a loud hissing is heard, then the screen cuts out and the camera turns off. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria follows behind Mike as the two make their way across the snow. Ahead of them the ocean roars. To their right, the ship's frame is seen in the distance muddled in the fog. Aria looks toward the ship, and picks up here pace. Aria (Running to keep up) MIKE!...I think I see them!...they're coming!" Mike (Not looking back) "Don't look!...Keep moving!" Aria and Mike start jogging slowly, both careful with all the gear bags. Mike runs over the ridge to the left, and Aria follows behind. Over the ridge, the ocean is slightly muted and the two run hunched over. Mike runs down the hill and towards the hidden blind. Mike squats next to the entrance, holding open the flap. Aria follows, still hunched over into the small covered area. Aria squats down and turns to see Mike coming in and closing the flap. Mike closes his eyes and take a deep breath before looking to Aria. Aria "What-what-what are we going to do?!" Mike (Looking out the flap, then back to her) "Ok...There's three coming-" Aria "Oh fuck!" Mike "We're going to let them get to the camp, and go inside...when they come out, I'm going to get a position...and unload the clip." Aria "How-how many shots?" Mike (Checking the clip) "15" Aria "Oh fuck-oh fuck-oh fuck...this is real, this is real...What-what do I do?" Mike (Looking back with reservation) "You're gonna be the second wave-" Aria "What?!...But-" Mike (Interrupting) "IF you DON'T help, you're body WILL NOT BE LEAVING this fucking island!...I need all the help I can get...Look, I've got fifteen shots, I'm not guaranteeing I can put them down, but if I flush gem out...they'll be focused on me...you can run up, hit one with this..." Mike produces a small black rod, then snaps his wrist which extends the rod three times its original length. Aria (Taking the rod reluctantly) "Where the fuck did you get this?!" Mike (Looking back through the flap) "Brought it...I always carry something on me...Been mugged one too many times...Aim for the head if you get the chance...Holy shit...I can see them!" Mike still looking through the flap, reaches back for the camera, motioning with his fingers. Mike (Not looking back) "Gimme the camera...I want to get them." Aria takes the camera off her head and passes it forward to Mike. The camera blurs behind the blue tarp, then comes to focus as in the distance the kodiak is seen coming out of the fog. In the kodiak, three dark silhouettes are seen inside. The view of the kodiak blurs as the sky flashes a bright orange pulse in the sky. Mike jerks back into the blind still filming out the flap. Another pulse flashes orange all across the sky. The "Go Pro" flashes a red static across the screen. Mike (Falling backwards) "What...the fuck?!" Aria (From off of camera) "What?!...WHATS HAPPENING?!" Mike leans back towards the flap, as another flash, this time brighter and with a large humming sound heard all over. The humming begins to vibrate the island; dropping down in tone, it becomes a thick bass sound. Mike They're coming to shore...there's something in the...sky." Another bright flash encompasses the camera, blinding in a red and orange light. The camera's screen is covered in static, then slowly comes back into focus. The hum disappears with the flash. Mike reluctantly looks out the flap, seeing a crystal clear day. The fog still surrounds he island, the kodiak sets on the shore, empty. Mike jumps out of the blind, looking up the shore line. Mike "How...in the fuck?!" Aria (From off of camera) "What?!...What happened?!" Mike (Continuing to look around the shore line) "There's NO-WAY!...They're...gone!" Aria (Coming out of the blind from behind) "WHAT?!...WHERE did they go?!" Mike doesn't respond, continuing to pan the camera around the shore line. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall and Ian descend into the hole, only their "Go Pro" camera lights shine in darkness. The two keep dropping in small three foot bursts, not speaking as they continue shinning lights in every direction. The two reach the bottom and begin detaching themselves from their harnesses. Marshall quickly looks to the ground, seeing an imprint with drag marks coming from a small pool of red in the white snow. Marshall looks back to Ian, who squats over the imprint looking confused. Ian looks up to the hole then back to the tunnel. Ian "He must of not heard us...He's still alive, he couldn't have gotten far...We just have to follow his tracks-" Marshall (Looking close to the tracks) "Are you...sure this is him?...These tracks look...not right." Ian squats down and looks close to the tracks with Marshall. Marshall zooms in on a clear footprint, inhuman, with three large toes extending into the snow. The tracks randomly continue not the darkness, just off from the drag tracks. Ian (Looking concerned) "What ELSE could possibly be down here?...Theres no light...what kind of animal would be this far down?!" Marshall (Looking up to Ian) "Polar bear?" Ian (Reacts by wiping his forehead of sweat and taking a deep breath) "Come on...if it IS a polar bear, we'll hear it before we see it." Marshall (Pausing) "And WHAT do we do if it IS a polar bear?!" Ian (Turns back to Marshall) "We run." From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria follows Mike as he two make their way across the ridge, and over to the shoreline. Waiting on the edge of the water, the kodiak bobs up and down with the incoming tide. Mike walks over to the raft, gun drawn. He looks inside the raft with the gun pointed inside. Aria walks up, catching the inside of the raft. It sets empty of passengers, three assault rifles lay on the floor. A walkie talkie sets by itself near the motor. Mike looks around the shore, then to the ground. Mike begins walking while looking to the ground. Mike (Still looking to the ground) "No tracks...anywhere. What...WHERE in the FUCK?!" Mike spins around, eyes wild, gun on point. Aria (Nervously) "Mike..." Mike (Spinning around slowly with gun drawn) "They're here...I can fucking feel it..." Aria "Ma...Mike..." Mike (Screaming out) "COME AND GET IT YOU MOTHER FUCKERS!" Aria stands back as Mike looks in every direction, waiting. Aria "They're...not here, Mike." Mike (Turning to Aria and lowering his gun) "Then WHERE IN FUCK DID THEY GO?!...YOU saw them!...I fucking saw them twenty feet from shore!...Now?!...WHERE?!" Aria (Walking forward hesitantly) "I...I don't...know...What if...What if we jumped in time...or something...I mean, WHAT WAS that flash?!" Mike frowns a face of disbelief, before taking a moment to register her words before walking over to his backpack, he takes his laptop out, and opens it. Mike "No...on the time jump...still Wednesday...at least according to the computer." Mike closes the laptop and puts it back in his bag, then looks back to the kodiak, then walks over and grabs the walkie and an assault rifle. Aria and Mike pull the kodiak deeper on shore. Mike takes his winter coat off, and puts his backpack, then grabs his coat. Mike struggles to put his coat back on. Aria takes the cue and helps him get the coat on. Mike "Thanks...it's been out in the cold for too long, we CANNOT lose the data...People HAVE to see this!" Mike offers the handgun to Aria before stashing it in his coat pocket before grabbing two other bags and slings them over his shoulders, then looks to Aria. Mike "Ready?...Keep your eyes and ears open...We just witnessed...SOMETHING paranormal...It doesn't mean we're safe...yet...Come on, we need to make sure the camp is safe-" Aria "I NEED to get warm." Aria follows behind Mike as they head back along their trail to camp. The two begin walking uphill in silence. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall pans the camera around the tunnel, the lights glow in a ten foot radius. The tunnel is is large, and perfectly circular in diameter, extending beyond eyesight in both directions. Marshall (Looking around) "How big is this?" Ian (Looking up then around) "Looks like twenty feet...everywhere!" Marshall (Looking in both directions) "Dude, this is man-made, from like, a long time ago...but man made." Ian (Still looking to the ground) "We focus on Tony, THEN we can start thinking conspiracy theories...come on." Ian looking to the ground, starts walking alongside the drag marks in the dirt. Marshall follows behind then stops. Marshall (Looking towards something metal just ahead) "IAN!...Tony's camera!" The camera looks smashed, held together by the wires inside. Ian looks ahead, then runs to the camera. Ian scoops it up and looks back to Marshall, visibly shaken. Marshall "Dude, I hate to say it, I REALLY HATE to say it-" Ian (Interrupting) "Then DON'T!" Marshall "I don't think-" Ian (Checking the camera) "You didn't get a thinkin-degree, and I'm NOT leaving till WE, get OUR BROTHER...That mother fucker put his life on the line for this country, the LEAST you can do is put in an effort saving him!" Ian walks behind Marshall and a zipping sound is heard close to the camera. Marshall "Are you serious?...That shit is worthless!...I don't want to carry that!" Ian (From off of camera) "Mikey will know how to pull the data." Ian walks past Marshall, the tunnel illuminates in sections as he walks ahead. Marshall reluctantly follows. The camera speeds up as the two follow down the tunnel in silence for twenty seven minutes, their lights shinning white on the dark brown rocky walls. The camera slows down as the tunnel begins to angle downwards, revealing more in the distance. The tunnel opens up to a room so expansive the lights don't bounce off of any walls. The ceiling opens up to forty feet, pools of water reflect their lights. Stalagmites and stalactites look like the teeth of some large monster, jetting out in every direction. Marshall veers to the left of Ian, both continuing into the darkness, until Marshall's light hits an unfamiliar object. In the distance; on the ground, Tony's backpack lies shredded of its shoulder straps, blood covering it in red. Ian and Marshall run over to it and study the remains. Marshall (Whispering) "You STILL think he's alive?!" Marshall looks to Ian, who is too shocked to respond. Ian grabs his bag, then turns to the darkness. Ian (Calling out) "TONY!" Marshall grabs his arm, hushing him in a hurry. Marshall (Whispering) "Ssshh!...What the fuck man?!...You SERIOUSLY think that T got that from the fall?!...SOMETHING is down here!...We NEED to get the FUCK OUTTA HERE, NOW!" Ian (Looking enraged, then whispering) "Are YOU serious?!...We don't know shit yet, and if YOU'RE too scared, then fucking head back...I'm not leaving till I carry him outta here...alive OR DEAD!" Marshall shakes his head in frustration and breathing hard, he doesn't respond. Ian (Looking into the darkness) "Just go...You don't want to be here...but I can't leave him here...on this island." Marshall (Frustrated) "Leave?!...I'm NOT leaving you!" The two continue into the darkness, stepping over pools of water and around stalagmites. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria follows Mike as he walks slowly into camp, gun drawn. Mike silently opens the tech container and quickly looks inside. Mike repeats the process with the other two containers before waving Aria inside. Mike still unsure, scans camp, then nods over his shoulder. Mike "Go ahead, I'm just gonna take a quick look around...make sure." Aria "What do you want me to do?" Mike (Looking around the camp before responding) "Keep reaching out to the boys-" Aria "Are you hungry? Do you want me to cook something?" Mike (Dropping the bags to the ground) "Sure...I'll be in quick." Aria turns and heads inside. Closing the door she takes a deep breath and shivers as she takes her coat off. Aria takes the "Go Pro" camera off her head and sets it on the counter, covering most of the room. Aria undresses and begins gathering the items to cook. The camera speeds up as Aria is seen chopping up vegetables and potatoes. Dropping the pieces into the pot, she begins cooking a stew over the range. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mounted) The sun sets over "Olav Peak", causing a deep shadow over the camp. Mike is seen coming back and looking around the camp and surrounding area with both hands on his head. Mike slowly spins and stops, looking at the mounted camera. Mike walks over and grabs the bags, then heads inside the technology container. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) The camera films towards the kitchen, the range with a covered pot steams. The ingredients litter the small counter space. Aria is seen coming in from behind the camera, wearing a bikini, her hair tucked up in towel. Aria checks over the stew, stirring it and smelling it with her back to the camera. Aria walks past the camera, wearing a full bathrobe and sandals. Aria gets a bowl and spoon ready, the grabs the camera and walks with it swinging downwards. Aria heads to the door and heads out into the cold. Aria hurries over to the technology container and opens the door. Aria (Walking inside) "Mike?...Hey, dinner...just stew." Mike (From off of camera) "It will make a turd." Aria "Hah-hah-hah...(Setting the "Go Pro" camera on the counter next to Mike)...Anything...NEW?" Mike grabs the camera, and puts it on his head. Mike directs Aria towards the laptop. Mike "Yes, see this?" ALL of the cameras are dead!...EXCEPT, these..." Mike looks towards the laptop and two of the quadrants are working. One films an empty wheelhouse, the other films the front deck of the ship. Bouvet Island looks slightly different in the distance. Mike (Looking to the screen) "Our base camera went out...We got to switch that out." Aria "That in the living room?...I can grab it when I get mine." Mike (Looking closer to the screen, then to Aria) "Does that...look...different to you?" Aria "The cameras...Wait, what am I looking at?" Mike (Pointing to the island on the tiny screen) "Bouvet...Here...(Mike maximizes the screen)...It looks...like...THE SHIP IS MOVING! Oh FUCK!" Aria (Looking confused) "Wait-what?...NO!...NO-WAY!...NO-FUCKING-WAY!" Mike gets up and paces back and forth. The "Go Pro" camera falls off and tumbles to the ground. Only Mike's legs and feet are seen as he paces back and forth. Mike "Shit-shit-shit!" Aria (From off of camera) "What...what the fuck are we going to do?!...Wait, what about Serge?!" Mike is seen stopping, then walking over to the laptop in the background. Mike (From off of camera) "I'm not seeing ANYBODY...FUCK!...IF they pulled anchor...the ship will continue to move, until it's too far for us to reach with the kodiak." Aria (From off of camera) "IF they pulled anchor?!...WHY would they pull anchor?!" Mike (From off of camera) "...Maybe...Serge was planning a move, for whoever he was reaching out to...I don't know, but I do know, ONE of us HAS to take the raft back out-" Aria (From off of camera) "ONTO THE OPEN OCEAN?! Mike, you HAVE to be kidding me!" Mike (From off of camera) "I'VE had training, I WILL do it!...But, I HAVE to go NOW! FUCK!" Aria (From off of camera) "You...you don't HAVE to go...do you?" Mike (From off of camera) "Look, you can either come with me, which I really-really, don't want you to...or you can stay here-" Aria (From off of camera) "Mike-Mike-Mike, NO!...Don't LEAVE ME HERE ALONE!...I CAN'T-I CAN'T-CAN'T-" Mike (From off of camera) "Ar-Ar-ARIA!...Calm down!...Marshall and the boys will be back in a couple of hours at most...I'll take the raft back out, drop anchor, and then contact you...Look, keep THIS walkie on channel 3, ok?...I'll take this one-" Aria (From off of camera) "NO!-" Mike (From off of camera) "They WILL be back! I'm going to leave a couple of rifles in Tony's blind...so if anybody tries to come to the island, you and the boys got something for protection...We're gonna get threw this...Just...keep focused, get the place ready for the boys...they're gonna be exhausted-" Aria (From off of camera) "What do I tell them?" Mike (From off of camera) "...Everything...Can you, get a camera working on base?...I have an extra...the one on the roof went out." Aria (From off of camera) "Yeah, yeah...anything else?" From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Ian and Marshall continue to walk in the dark, until they come an unfamiliar enormous circular forty foot door. Both their lights flash around the giant closed gunmetal grey door. Near the bottom of the door their lights land on the same logo. NASA. Marshall (Whispering) "What?...We need to go...We need to get the fuck outta here!" Ian turns and begins frantically looking around the vicinity for signs of Tony. As Ian searches in the darkness, Marshall walks up to the enormous door. Marshall knocks his fists against the steel door, and maneuvers to the NASA sticker in the center of the door. Marshall holds the camera towards the logo, then walks to the edge of the blast door. Marshall looks over the large hinges. Marshall "How...long has this been here?!...These fucking hinges are taller than I am!" Marshall looks back to Ian, who is barely seen on the other side of the cavern. Marshall begins moving towards his fading light. Marshall notices random tunnels on both sides of the cavern, but keeps moving towards Ian. Marshall (Calling out to Ian) "HEY!...Don't be getting too far from me...this place is fucking huge!" Ian 's light looks back, and slowly becomes larger. Marshall waits for a moment as Ian makes his way back. Marshall "Anything?" Ian (Coming closer) "Nothing...it's like...the trail disappears...He could have went into ANY of these tunnels...It's like a fucking maze, and Tony found the ONE DIRECTION he shouldn't-" Ian is immediately cut off by a large sounding alarm echoing throughout the caves. The sound is war piercing, causing Marshall to jump and look around quickly. The alarm bounces across every inch of the darkness, and from behind, flashing red siren lights are seen near the blast door. Ian (In between alarm bells) "We GOTTA GO, NOW!" Marshall looks around, the caves light in split second intervals with the siren in a red tone. Iran grabs Marshall by the shirt collar and pulls him into the darkness. The siren wails another round of loud noise as the two make their way back to the entrance. Marshall and Ian move from jogging to running as the siren gets louder and faster in repetition. The two run blindly into the darkness, their lights only bouncing off of the ground. In the distance, alien looking shapes of teeth light up the black as they move past. The sounds of running and splashing water are heard with their panicked breaths as the two continue running. The siren continues to wail as they reach the entrance of the cavern, Marshall pauses for a second to look back to the flashing red lights, as the sound of some heavy metal begins to grind in the darkness. Ian grabs Marshall, pulling him from behind the two stumble into the tunnel. Ian is heard breathing hard as he continues to pull Marshall down the corridor, Marshall struggles to keep pace, looking back, his view is cut off by the tunnel. The two continue use to run as the siren dies off. Behind them in the darkness, the sound of metal twisting and screeching chokes all sound. Marshall slows down and Ina turns, looking confused. Ian (Reaching back for Marshall) "KEEP MOVING!-" As Ian grabs Marshall, the darkness is interrupted by the sounds of multiple loud tickings echoing from behind. The dark is clattering with more and more ticking, coming from every direction. Marshall turns and sprints, the camera shakes and blurs. The sounds of two running steps and panicked breaths are heard in the blurred darkness. Ian (From off of camera) "Where-where-where?...Heh-heh-heh...Here-here!" In a blurred hurry, Marshall stops, then turns and follows Ian's footsteps down a tunnel. The head lights illuminates the tunnel, as the two run without stopping. Their breathing becomes heavy as they continue down the dark tunnel. Their steps and breathing becomes heavier as they make their way towards a dim light in the distance. The camera shakes as the dim light becomes clearer. The two run to the fading light from above. Ian (In panicked breaths) "Here!...Take the...the...TAKE THE-YEAH!" Ian and Marshall struggle to harness themselves, and attach -. Both begin ratcheting themselves up into the free air. Ian is seen above Marshall, both breathing hard, and struggling upwards. The ratcheting and breathing are heard, as Marshall makes his way upwards. Looking down the tunnel, Marshall freezes as the sound of intense score echoing comes from the mouth of the tunnel. Ian (From off of camera) "MOVE!" Marshall snaps back upwards and sees Ian near the mouth of hole. The sounding ticking and screeching get louder, causing Marshall to move faster upwards. Ian reaches the mouth of the hole and pulls himself over and out of sight, his rope begins jetting upwards next to Marshall. Marshall continues upwards as the screeching gets extremely loud, and movement is seen in the darkness. Marshall breathes panicked breathes, as Ian's rope zips past him and out of the hole. Marshall reaches the most of the hole and Ian grabs him, pulling him up and out. Marshall hits the snow and turns back to the hole to see Ian pulling a knife from its sheath, and cutting the rope. Ian lets the line fall into the now ear piercing screeching hole. Ian gets up and runs to Marshall, pulling him up they both begin running away from the noise. Ian (Running off of camera) "It's up-up here!...heh-heh-heh...Keep moving!" Marshall follows Ian in the now darkened evening. The sky void of clouds above the island, Marshall looks around noticing the thick thunder clouds surrounding them. Marshall follows Ian, and both jog through strained breaths. Every couple of seconds, a flash of lightning lights the snow an illuminesant white. The two continue jogging in the dark, uphill in the snow. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) The "Go Pro" camera records Aria across the room as she sets at the laptop, looking into the screen. Still wearing a bathrobe and sandals, she smokes a cigarette In an uncoordinated manner. Aria clicks the mouse over and music starts playing from its speakers. Aria gets up and walks around the room, disappearing off of camera, the door is heard locking before she returns and continues pacing the room. Aria stops at the sonar screen and looks at it before noticing the dollar radar covering the island. Aria gets up and grabs the "Go Pro", strapping it on, she focuses the camera on the screen. A large image of the island is detailed in black and white, surrounding it is a ring of red with spots of yellow. Aria "That CAN'T be good!" Aria walks over to the laptop and scans the screen, then sighs and grabs a spare "Go Pro" camera. In the distance a tiny buzzing is heard, and Aria fidgets thens rubs her ear, causing a distorted noise on camera. The buzzing grows in sound, then changes tone and goes higher, causing Aria to bend over and rub both ears. Aria "Oh...GOD!...Aaahhh....What...the?" Aria continues to rub her ears as she moves away from the laptop and equipment. Moving towards the door she looks back, then around. Her deep breaths are the only noise in the room. Aria (Looking around) "What the hell?!" Aria turns and opens the door, and immediately shivers as she heads into the dark night. Aria hurries over to the storage container and grabs the ladder before returning to the technology container. Placing the ladder in front of the door, she hurries up the rungs to the top of the door. Aria takes the previous camera and replaces it with a new one. Aria powers it up and hits record, placing the camera so the angle catches the camp, then climbs back down the ladder. From Mounted "Go Pro" Aria heads back down the ladder and carries the ladder to the storage container before returning to the technology container. The light from inside the room lights up the outside before Aria closes the door and all returns to darkened shades of blue. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria closes the door and shivers as she walks over to the heater, and stands in front of it. Aria walks over to the laptop and notices the third quadrant filming outside. Aria looks over to the door, then back to the screen, before walking over and locking it. Aria returns to the laptop and changes the music. Looking around, she passively gets up and walks over to the radar when she is stopped by an unfamiliar sound coming from the walkie. The sound is a repetitive high pitch, that changes and blares a low frequency static. Aria freezes, looking back to the walkie next to the laptop. She rushes over and grabs the handgun out of the drawer and looks to the camera. The sound amplifies and distorts, then the laptop changes from music to the static. Aria looks from the walkie to the laptop, then the equipment from all over the room begins to blare the static. Aria looks all around the room, unsure and holding the camera on each sound for a moment. The camera begins to flicker and flashes of static blot the screen. From Mounted Camera The camera flashes static and blurs, as white noise picks up on its receivers. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria stands frozen in the room as the sounds coming from every piece of electrical equipment hiss, growing louder with each second. The camera begins to flash static all over the screen as Aria looks around the room, gun drawn. Suddenly the flash of light comes from every direction and Aria is lifted off the ground. She makes no noise as her body arcs in mid air, her hands are seen shaking at a high rate of speed, and the gun is dropped immediately. Aria is heard gurgling and choking as her body begins to spin in mid air, slowly flipping as she levitates. The camera catches bright white flashes of light, as Aria slowly turns head over heels, and the camera blurs out of focus. The camera floods with static as another wave of lights glow, overtaking and causing the camera to go white before powering off. From Mounted Camera The camp is still in the dark, then security lights slowly glow to a white light. The three security lights burn white, illuminating the entire base camp until each light explodes its bulb. The three white lights stay in place, glowing bright, then flooding the camera in white. Embers glowing orange fall to the ground, before a flash of static covers the lens, and the camp falls back into darkness. The mounted camera speeds up in time and continues to film the darkened camp for thirty three minutes. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria looks into the camera with glossy eyes, wobbling and shaking randomly. Pushing the camera back, she sets back in the chair, the laptop sets in the background, it's screen black. The container's security lights dimly light the room in a neon blue. Aria looks around blankly, then over to the laptop. Aria (Into camera) "Mike...the power...went down...I think...I think I hit my head...it's ringing inside." Aria blindly looks around then turns herself in front of the laptop. Fumbling to power it, she leans in close to find the right button. The "Go Pro" captures the entire screen over her left shoulder. Aria (Looking towards the laptop as it powers up) "...I-I can hear them now...They see Marshall..." The laptop's screen powers on and resumes its previous screen. Aria stares blankly into the screen as the smaller "Go Pro" screens pop up. The wheelhouse sets empty with a lamp the only source illuminating the small room. The rear of the ship sets dark as it drifts on a crystal clear night. The base camp sets barren under slowly incoming thick fog. Aria stares towards the screen for another twenty three minutes without moving. On the lap top, the quadrant filming the rear of the ship captures the kodiak being hoisted up onto the main deck. Mike is seen soon thereafter, appearing from the hoist controls, and jogging across deck with an assault rifle raised. Mike slowly makes his way across the deck, and under the stairs then off of camera. The two on board cameras film for another seventeen minute before Mike appears in the wheelhouse, looking confused. "From Rear Mounted Camera" The rear of the deck is seen is seen shaking, then blurs out of focus filming the inside of the wheelhouse. Mike adjusts its mount, then straps it to his head. Mike (Looking around the wheelhouse) "I've made a pass over the ship...there is NO SIGN of ANYONE!...Not ONE PERSON!...Almost like...everyone...VANISHED in mid air!" The camera speeds up for forty seven minutes, as Mike walks through the entire ship checking each room and storage space. Mike walks the entire deck, scanning both sides with gun raised. Making his way to the rear, he reaches the anchors control, and releases the switch, then watches as the anchor descends into the black water. Mike continues making his way across the ship in silence, checking every square inch as he moves. Mike moves throughout the ship's various floors. Walking in every room and flipping lights on as he continues. The camera slows down as Mike makes his way into the engine room at the base of the ship. Opening the door, he walks inside a large room filled with a loud running motor accounting for most of the available space. Mike looks from left to right, then notices something and moves down the walkway towards it. As Mike turns the corner, he freezes at the sight of two unfamiliar bodies lying on the metal grating. Mike walks up and films the two men lying on their backs under sheets. Mike hesitates then pulls the sheet from the first and holds the camera on a still male corpse. Mike moves in close and reaches inside the man's jacket. Mike retrieves a wallet from inside and turns it over. The name on a Cape Town drivers license reads "Serge Zharkov". The image is the same as the corpse. Mike repeats the process with the second corpse, the license reads "Alexi Rykov". Mike (Squatting over the two dead bodies, looking from one to the other) "Huh!?...I can't...fucking believe this shit...They weren't who they said they were." The camera speeds up as Mike makes his way through the ship, rechecking rooms and storage cabinets. Making his way upwards, Mike ends up in the wheelhouse, setting at the pilot's seat. Looking across the small room, he looks into the mounted camera, then reacts and reaches into his pocket and retrieves hIs phone. Pulling up the "Go Pro" app, Mike opens it to see four feeds running. The first feed is of the wheelhouse, followed by the rear of the ship. The third films a darkened campsite under a cloudless sky and full moon. The forth films a running laptop. Mike fumbles around and finds Serge's walkie talkie on the floor, it's channel set on five. Mike (Looking at the walkie) "Emergency channel?...What scared you, fake Serge?" Mike sets at the helm, cycling through the channels. Calling Aria and Marshall at every stop, with no response. Mike (Into the walkie) "Aria, you there? Over....Marshall, Ian, do you copy? Over...ARIA, do YOU COPY!? Over..." Mike leans towards the laptop screen and waits for movement or response. After a moment, Mike sighs to himself in frustration. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) The camera films a lonely lit-up laptop, under a neon blue light. The swivel chair next under it, spins extremely slow, then stops without cause. The sound of Mike over the walkie. Mike (Over walkie) "Aria?!...Aria, do you copy? Over...Aria, come in, over." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike minimizes Aria's camera, and maximizes the mounted camera over the base. It sets in complete darkness, no movement is detected and Mike minimizes the screen. Mike (Into walkie) "Aria...COME-IN! Over!" Mike maximizes Aria's "Go Pro" and immediately jumps back as Aria is seen inches from the camera. Her eyes glazed over, with a white coloring over her retinas. Mike (To himself) "Jez-SUS! FUCK!...(Into the walkie)...Thanks for the jump scare girl..." Aria continues looking into the camera, wide eyed without response as Mike's words echo across the monitor. Aria doesn't respond, but her mouth opens, hanging with a snarl and lip curled. Mike (Hesitating) "Ar?...Aria...can you...hear me?" Mike's words echoe over the walkie, with out response from Aria. Mike (Into walkie) "...Aria?...Are you..." Aria's mouth stays open but the sound coming out, is inhuman. The sound is a low vocal grow, that grows and raises in pitch. Mike (Whispering to himself) "...Aria?...What the fuck?!" Aria stares into the camera as a radio hiss begins behind her. The sound begins to raise in volume, causing the camera to blur with waves of static covering the screen. Aria sets up, and begins to look around the room, her eyes wide. The noise grows in intensity, causing the camera to flash white uncontrollably, with waves of static covering parts of the screen. Mike sets in shocked silence as the screen begins to scream a high pitched noise, Aria's figure is distorted under waves of static. The noise grows in intensity as multiple screams come from its speakers. From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria looks around the room as the sound of a static hiss begins to fade. The sound fades, but is still detectable by the cameras. In the repeated loop, Aria's voice is heard distorted and seemingly coming from from the equipment. Aria's voice (Echoing and distorted) "Mmm-Mike?...Ccc-Can you hear me?..." Aria's body sets looking around the room blindly, her mouth hangs open and the inhuman sound continues from her mouth. Aria voice "...Thhh-They know we're here...Www-We aren't welcome...Www-We have to go, Mike...Thh-They are not happ-happy..." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike (To himself) "The fuck?!" Mike (Into walkie) "Aria?...Can you hear me sweety?" Mike's voice echoes across the laptop screen, and Aria's body reacts by jumping out of her chair. Her body looks ready to attack. Aria's voice "...Thh-They say...we need to leave." Mike shakes his head, still staring into the laptop. On the screen, Aria's body grabs at the speaker and rips its cord from the laptop, causing the laptop to lunge with the sudden jerk. Mike (In a panicked whisper) "What-the-fuck?!" Aria's body stands hunched over, her hair hangs in front of her face as her shoulders hunch and her body begins to distort. Aria's voice "...Thh-They...don't want us here Mike...We have to leave." From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Aria's body lunges forward, swiping at the items in front of her, knocking the bowl, and utensils to the ground. Aria's body begins to walk around the room, her shoulders arch as her head hangs downward. The growl that comes from her, begins to hiss as drool begins to drop from her mouth. A high pitch is heard growing from off of camera, then a wave of static blasts the room; in a instant all the electronics in the room flash to life. Their screens lighting up bright, a printer begins loudly spitting multiple ink covered papers. Their long range radio begins picking up multiple channels at once, as many different voices speak different languages at the same time. From the radio an unfamiliar voice calls to Aria. The voice "Aria...Are you coming down to the beach?...The weather is perfect for sunbathing..." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike (To himself) "WHO-IN-THE-FUCK?!..." Mike (Into walkie) "...Aria?...Aria, can you hear me?!" Aria's body looks around the room before it screams out in a demonic growl. Mike sets back in his seat, his eyes wide, mouth hanging open. From "Go Pro" (Aria) The voice "Ar, sweetie...Your father and I are down at the beach...When are you coming to join?" Aria's voice (From off of camera) "Mm-Mom?...Where are you?...I...I can't see you?" The voice "We're down at the beach, sweetie...Grab a towel...Your brother is out surfing...He's gonna want one...just bring it with you..." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike "ARIA!...NO!...DON'T LISTEN!... WERE ON BOUVET ISLAND!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) Mike's voice is cut out over the laptop in mid sentence. Aria's body reacts to the sound as another wave of static covers the screen. The voice "Be sure to grab some sunscreen...the sun is strong down here..." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike "ARIA!!...ARIA, LISTEN TO ME!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) The sound of distortion floods the small room as static completely overtakes the camera. Through the waves, Aria's body moves off of camera. Aria's voice "Mm-Mike...tell Mmm-Marshall I'll be right back...I'mmm going to grab some ff-food with my parents..." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike "ARIA!!...ARIA, NO!!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Aria) The camera focuses as Aria walks back into the frame, and begins to remove her bathrobe, staring straight ahead. Her body straightens out, her eyes wide and clear as she drops the bathrobe to the ground. Mike's voice (Echoing over the walkie) "ARIA!!...ARIA, NO!!" Aria stands upright, and looks around blankly. A genuine smile starts to form on her face, as she turns and walks off of camera. Mike's voice (Echoing over walkie) "ARIA!!...WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!...ARIA!!" The sound of the door opening then closing is the only response Mike receives. The room sets in silence. Blue neon lights flickering. From Mounted Camera From the bottom of the camera, movement is detected as a figure moves in the shadows across the screen, then into the moonlight. Aria is seen walking calmly in just her bikini off of camera towards the shore. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike looks around the wheelhouse and runs in a panic out of the room. Rushing down the steps, Mike continues yelling into the walkie. Mike "ARIA!...ARIA, RESPOND!...ARIA!!" Mike runs down the hallway, down two flights of steps and then out to the deck. It sets empty, without lights and swaying with the ocean. Mike looks to Bouvet in the distance, illuminated from the moon, surrounded in fog, it's outline barely visible. Mike looks around the deck, still quiet and barren of life. The waves crashing against the hull is the only sounds audible. Mike jogs towards the edge near the kodiak, then over to the controls. Mike reaches for the controls as his walkie screams to life. Ian (Over walkie) "MIKE! ARIA! COME IN, OVER!" Mike reacts and grabs the walkie. Mike (Into walkie) "YES, IAN!...MIKE HERE, OVER!" Ian (Over walkie) "WE ARE NOT ALONE!...THIS ISLAND...IS FULL OF...(Distorted)...WE HAVE TO MOVE!" Mike (Into walkie) "IAN!...REPEAT THAT, OVER!" Ian's voice becomes distorted and cuts off. Mike (Into walkie) "IAN!...SOMETHING HAPPENED TO ARIA!...She's...NOT RIGHT...DO YOU COPY, OVER?!" Mike pauses, waiting for a response, then speaks again. Mike (Into walkie) "IAN!...MARSHALL!...COME IN!!" The walkie crackles and fades into static. Mike (Into walkie) "I'M ON THE SHIP!...SOMETHING HAPPENED TO ARIA!...YOU HAVE TO GET TO CAMP!!" Mike looks to the walkie, without any response. Without warning a hum begins to come from the direction of Bouvet. Mike freezes, holding the shot on the island, as the hum grows in strength. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall follows Ian as the two walk in snow up to their knees. Each step is slow, and lumbering with the gear they carry. Ian is seen leading, stomping holes in the thick snow. Marshall follows, stepping in the same holes right behind. Ian (Into walkie) "MIKE?!...WE ARE HEADED BACK TO CAMP!...TONY IS MISSING...DO YOU COPY?!" Marshall "Something on this island is fucking with us!...We got to grab Aria and Mike, and get the fuck outta here!" Ian (Not looking back) "YOU'RE GIVING UP ON TONY ALREADY?!" Marshall "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!...ARE YOU GOING TO GO BACK DOWN THERE AND ASK THOSE...CREATURES FOR OUR DEAD FRIEND BACK?!" Ian (Turning around, facing Marshall in anger) "YOU DON'T FUCKING KNOW HE'S DEAD!...YOU GONNA GIVE UP HIM, JUST LIKE FOOTBALL?!...JUST LIKE-" Marshall (Interrupting) "I'M GOING TO SURVIVE!...I SURE AS SHIT, AINT GONNA BE THE FIRST NIGGA DYING ON THIS ROCK!!" Ian "SO, LET'S JUST LEAVE YOUR FRIEND-" Marshall (Interrupting) "So, "WE", CAN LEAVE?! YES!...I'VE GOT A GREAT LIFE TO GO BACK TO-" Ian (Turning away from Marshall) "WE MAKE IT OUT OF HERE, YOU AND I, ARE FUCKING DONE!...FUCKING RICH-COWARD!...SACRIFICE YOUR FRIENDS FOR YOUR OWN ASS?!...SOUNDS RIGHT FOR THE CROWD YOU FUCKING ASSOCIATE WITH!" Marshall "I'M THINKING ABOUT ALL OF US!-" Ian (Not looking back) "THE FUCK YOU ARE!...FUCKING SCARED, JUST LIKE YOUR SENIOR FUCKING SEASON!...DON'T HAVE A LINE YOU CAN TRUST, SO YOU FUCKING RUN!...CHICKEN-SHIT-COWARD!...SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE!" Marshall "FUCK YOU, MAN!...WHAT DO YOU GOT, HERO?!...MAKIN SOME RESCUE AGAINST ALL THOSE...CREATURES?!...WHAT, YOU GONNA RUN SOME BS?!...SAVE THE FUCKING DAY?!?...YOU THINK WE GOT ANYTHING AGAINST...WHATEVER THE FUCK THOSE THINGS WERE?? Ian (Not looking back) "MY FUCKING PLAN IS STILL BETTER THAN RUNNING HOME SCARED, WITHOUT TONY!...WITHOUT A FUCKING ANSWER FOR HIS FAMILY!" Marshall "PLEASE, MOTHER FUCKER...TELL ME YOUR BIG FUCKING IDEA!...TELL ME, HOW YOU GONNA SAVE THE FUCKING DAY!" Ian (Not looking back) "FIRST THING, TOMORROW, I'M TAKING MIKE...AND WE'RE FUCKING RESCUING TONY!...REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER IT IS YOUR DOING!" Marshall "First thing tomorrow, I'm taking Aria and getting back to the ship!" Ian (Not looking back) "FUCKING. COWARD!" Marshall "FUCK YOU, FAGGOT!-" Ian (Turning and stopping) "SAY IT AGAIN!...SAY IT AGAIN!...AND THIS FAGGOT WILL KNOCK YOUR DICK STIFF, ALL THE WAY BACK TO REALITY!...ANOTHER FUCKING WORD FROM YOU...AND I WILL BURY YOUR ASS OUT HERE!" The two stare each other down without exchanging another word. High above them, a flash of lightning lights the darkness for a split second. Ian looks enraged, both hands closed in fists. Marshall (Finally responding) "Where's the...Sherpa?...Didn't we park closer than this?" Ian (Hesitating then looking around) "Some...where...I haven't seen the tracks yet...in fact, I have t seen our tracks coming up." Marshall (Looking around) "What does that mean?...Are we lost?" Ian (Still looking around) "I'm...not sure...Everything looks the same...It just...doesn't make sense...I KNOW we didn't walk this far on the way up." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike looks down the deck in the dark, snow covers the deck over an inch deep. Only the waves crashing around breaks the silence. Mike looks to the kodiak, his hand on the controls to lower it in the ocean, then back to the wheelhouse. Mike (Frustrated) "FUCK!...What do I do? What do I do?" Another flash of lightning gets Mike's attention, along with the thick fog clouds looming closer to the ship. Mike (Taking a step back from the fog) "...ok, ok...Wait it out here." Mike turns and heads inside, as the wind picks up. Closing the door, the camera hears what sounds like intense winds blowing outside. Mike hesitates, then heads up the stairs into the wheelhouse. Mike pulls out his phone and quickly checks the "Go Pro" app. The screen shows five screens lit up, now a fifth staticky covered image. Mike then maximizes the screen, then leans close. Mike (To himself) "MARSHALL!...(Fumbling for the walkie, then into it)...Marshall-Ian-Tony, come in, over!...(To himself)...Come ON, you fucks! The Image distorts with waves of static. Mike (Into walkie) "Marshall-Tony-Ian, come in ASSHOLES!" Mike watches the screen as it slowly comes into focus for twenty three minutes before minimizing the screen, and cycles through the other screens. Maximizing each screen and watching each intermetetidly, finally maximizing the mounted camera at camp. The screen illuminated neon blue by the open door directly underneath. Mike (Looks down, shaking his head) "Noo!...Fuck, Aria!...WHERE are you?!" Mike pans the camera around the wheelhouse, it's windows completely covered white with fog. Mike looks to each window, every one blocked with thick walls of white. Setting back, he sighs in frustration before getting up and heads down stairs. He then begins going through every inch of each room. From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall follows behind Ian as the two make their way down the mountain. Far off in the distance, a small blue glow lights up the darkness. Marshall (Noticing the glow) "FINALLY!...For a while there, I SERIOUSLY thought we were coming down the far side..." Ian doesn't turn for response, continuing to stomp in the thick snow. In the immediate direction ahead of them, the ocean is blocked out by a wall of white. Marshall "...I mean, THAT COULD'NT BE...we've seen the same landmarks...heh-heh-heh-now we see base...so, WERE did-heh-heh-heh...our transportation go?!...Where COULD IT HAVE gone?!...Ian-heh-heh-heh-man, I'm fucking sorry!...For...the trip, for Tony, for whatever THAT WAS fifteen minutes ago, for EVERYTHING I've caused." Ian (Not looking back) "It's alright boss-heh-heh-heh...You couldn't have known." Marshall "I MEAN it!...Heh-heh-heh...Tomorrow, I'm coming back with you-heh-heh-heh...Were fucking taking "T" home with us...No matter what." Ian (Stopping and turning to Marshall) "I appreciate that dude-heh-heh-heh...Anymore, I don't know...this island...We need to get Tony, and burn any evidence we were here-" Marshall "How are we gonna explain what happened to "T"?!" Ian (Taking two deep breaths) "I don't know, I don't think we can-" Marshall "Can what?!" Ian (Looking from Marshall then to the camp in the distance) "Can explain...There's no explanation for this island...We just need to get off it, and go back to our safe little lives...forget we ever came here." Ian doesn't wait for a response, as he turns and continues punching holes in the thick snow, making his way down the mountain. Marshall waits a moment before following his exact footsteps. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) In a hallway, Mike closes a door and turns to see the word "Captain" inscribed on the door across from him. Mike's right hand moves to turn the handle, but stops with it locked. Mike lines his shoulder up with the door, then lunges forward into it. The "Go Pro" camera vibrates and blurs out of focus as the door gives way, and Mike is surrounded by darkness in the room. Flipping the light switch, the small room illuminates. Mike scans the room for a moment before beginning. A bed and desk clog most of the tiny room. Everything in tact and in place. A small bathroom door is open, showing the toilet and sink. Above the bed, a window covered in white. Mike makes his way over to the desk, and begins searching every square inch of the room. The camera speeds up as Mike rifles through drawers, and opens every cabinet. Mike produces papers and folders, reading them before tossing them on the bed, and returning to the search. Mike pauses on a small notepad with a Russian looking symbol on its cover. A shield with a sword running vertical through it, with a sickle and hammer inside of a star. Mike looks at it, then pockets it and continues with his search. The camera speeds up as Mike continues searching, unloading anything of its contents on the bed. The bed becomes covered in a indistinguishable mess of papers, files and clothes, before Mike turns off the light and closes the door, and heads down the hallway. Mike returns to the wheelhouse, and produces the tiny notepad from his pocket. Mike looks at its cover for a moment before opening it up. Every page is covered, front and back, along with every inch of real estate in Russian symbols. Mike (Sighing in frustration) "No translator until main land, or Bouvet...FUCK!" Mike flips through more pages, taking each page in for a moment, before moving on to the next. Mike "Fuckin gibberish...Why couldn't Marshall find an English captain?!" Mike makes it to the last page, which reveals a tiny little map, with an island similar to Bouvet. The map has five lines converging over the island into a star, with a circle and the number 60 inside of it. Mike is heard scratching his face, perplexed, before folding the page over and studying it on his way up the wheelhouse. At the top of the steps, Mike looks around the room, and heads towards the shelf with the ship's maps. Mike flips page after page, each a different area of the world. Shores and coast lines detailed with penciled in notes and dates. Mike flips through multiple books before coming across a book with its page missing. Mike's finger runs along its tear line, then looking around the wheelhouse. Mike "Where did you hide it, Serge?" From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall follows Ian as the two make their way onto even ground. The camp now, not far, but out of view from the rocky outcrop pings surrounding it. Marshall scans the ground under the clear moon light, no tracks in any direction. Marshall (Laughing in frustrated confusion) "Hah-hah!...No fucking tracks the WHOLE WAY back?!-Heh-heh-heh...WHAT-THE-FUCK?!" Ian continues slogging through the high snow without response. Marshall growls in frustration, beginning to struggle keeping pace. Ian (Calling over his shoulder) "Almost...there-heh-heh-heh...Just...just keep focused...Heh-heh-heh...Warm cup of coco waiting for us...Your girl-heh-heh-heh...Were gonna be ok...Were gonna be-" Ian trails off and Marshall doesn't respond and the two come over the ridge to see the camp lit up by the technology container's inside lights. The two stop, looking over the camp in silence. Marshall moves to Ian's side, as the two take in the darkened camp. Ian (Gripping an ice pick in his right hand) "Somethin's not right...Get ready...I think we're about to have another encounter." Marshall (Moving ahead then calling out) "ARIA!!...MI-" Ian (Grabbing Marshall by the arm) "What the fuck are you doing?! I JUST SAID-" Marshall (Pulling away) "I HEARD YOU!...That's my girl!" Ian "I KNOW but we DON'T KNOW who would have left that door open!... And HOW LONG AGO were they here!...We got to take this SLOW, man!...I sure as shit ain't ending up like Tony...Either Serge sent in a team-" Marshall "Or those fucking creatures got out!" Ian "Either way...play it fucking slow, man!...Don't give away our position!...You take the garage, I'll take the bedroom...search it then come right back out...we'll check the tech lab last." Marshall watches as Ian leads to camp. The two split off and enter separate containers. Marshall heads into the living container, and looks around the lit up room. Their bags spread across the floor, with their belongings strewed out over the bunk beds. In the kitchen, dishes set looking dirty and used. Marshall quietly walks over to the bathroom and checks it without incident before looking over the room one last time, then back out into the cold dark night. Marshall is met by Ian, still holding the ice pick firm in his right hand. Ian nods toward the technology container, and the two slowly walk towards the light. Marshall follows behind Ian, as he enters the room and scans quickly each direction. Marshall closes the door, then looks around. The camera catches a bathrobe and sandals on the ground in front of him. Marshall (Running over to the clothing) "ARIA!...This is HERS!...WHERE?...WHERE IS SHE?!" Ian "Where's MIKE?!" Marshall grabs the walkie on the counter and desperately calls into it. Marshall (Into walkie) "MIKE?!...ARIA?!...COME IN!!" From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike walks out of the crew's cabin, into the tiny hallway when his walkie squeaks to life. "MIKE?!...ARIA?!...COME IN!!" Mike (Jumping) "JEZ-US!" Mike steadies himself against the door frame, and puts his left hand to his heart. Then closes the door and looks down the hall. Mike (Taking a couple deep breaths before responding into walkie) "This is Mike...What's your twenty?" Marshall (From walkie) "We're back at base...WHERE are YOU?...And is Aria with you?!" Mike (Takes a breath before responding into walkie) "I'm on the ship...Serge sent three guys with assault rifles to the island, some flash of light happened, and they were gone...All of a sudden, the kodiak was empty...they just...vanished-" Marshall (From walkie) "WHERE'S ARIA?!" Mike (Into walkie) "I...I'm not sure...We went back to camp-" Marshall (From walkie) "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I'M NOT SURE?!" Mike (Into walkie) "We went back to camp, and that's when I noticed the ship was moving, it was starting to list...IF I hadn't have left, the ship would have drifted to the point we couldn't have reached it on the kodiak-" Marshall (From walkie) "WHERE IS SH-" Ian (From walkie) "LET HIM FINISH, MARSHALL!" Mike (Into walkie) "I made it to the ship, and dropped anchor...it only drifted for about an hour...I got here, and radioed Aria...Marshall, something happened to her-" From "Go Pro" Camera (Marshall) Marshall faces towards Ian, but paces and looks around emotionally. Marshall (On the verge of tears into walkie) "WHAT?!...WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?!" Mike (From walkie) "...some kind of...interference...or some kind of contact...I saw her body...change, or react to it...but her voice was coming from...I, I'm not sure exactly...it was like her body and her mind were two-" Marshall (Beginning to break down into walkie) "WHAT THE FUCK YOU MEAN, SHE WAS TWO?!...WHAT THE FUCK YOU MEAN, MAN?!" Mike (From walkie) "...dude...she just...she started talking, not making any sense...then, she just...she just walked out into the cold...without any gear on...She just...walked away-" Marshall breaks down into sobs, and Ian is seen reacting devastated in the foreground. Marshall paces harder and faster, shaking his head, not responding to Mike. His left hand is heard as he begins rubbing his temple, rambling incoherently to himself. Marshall (To himself) "What do we do? What am I going to do? Where is she? What do I tell her momma? Oh god, what do I do?!" Ian steps over and takes the walkie from Marshall. Ian (Into walkie) "Where is she now?...When was the last time you saw her?" Mike (From walkie) "...Two hours ago...I haven't seen any movement since...I was going to come back, but there's a storm around the ship...I was going to wait it out...then come back and get everybody." Marshall "WHERE IN THE FUCK COULD SHE BE!?!" Ian (Into walkie) "Do you think she went down to the blind by the shore?" Mike (From walkie) "Man...From what she was saying...I think the shore is where you're going to find her." Marshall "I'm going! I'm going, RIGHT NOW!" Ian (To Marshall) "Just, wait-" Marshall takes the "Go Pro" camera off and tosses on the counter in a hurry, and storms away from Ian. The camera faces a wall, and the right hand side of the running laptop. Marshall (From off of camera) "Man, FUCK THAT SHIT!...FUCK THESE STUPID CAMERAS!...MY GIRL IS OUT THERE!...I GOT NO TIME FOR WAITING!" Ian stops his protest as the door slams off camera. From Mounted Camera Marshall is seen as a shadow; storming out of the container underneath the camera, turning right just outside of camp and jogging off of camera while calling out wildly. Marshall (Screaming) "AR-IA!...AR-IA!!" Marshall disappears off of camera, jogging and cupping his hands to his mouth. From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) The camera still films the wall and laptop, as Ian moves around off of camera. Ian (From off of camera, into walkie) "Marshall is on his way to check...WHAT exactly was she saying?" Mike (From walkie) "Something about the beach...like she was at a resort or something...but her body...her body was like a demon...I mean, it was STILL her body, but it was like a demon was possessing it, or some shit, I don't know-" Ian (From off of camera, into walkie) "No...after the day we've had...it's about fucking par for the course...Tony is...gone...He fell...We went to rescue him and he fell into a cavern...We went down to get him, and we found tunnels...like, LOTS of them...They all lead up to this fuckin blast door...Like a forty foot tall and...get this, a NASA LOGO ON IT!...There was...something, some kind of species, or creatures that came out...We didn't see them, but sure as fuck heard them coming...barely got out of there...dude...I can't fucking stand the thought of leaving him here, but-" Ian stops, and reacts to something off of camera. Mike (From walkie) "But?...You still there man?...Ian, come in?" Ian (From off of camera, into walkie) "Yeah...yeah, I'm here...I just...just got a pain in my head...Aww...ok, it's like a ringing...I...I plan on going back for him...in the morning, but I want all of us to stay together...Don't risk coming back tonight, wait for low tide in the morning...We'll regroup, and figure it out first thing." Mike (From walkie) "Get some rest and water...Its probably just stress, and dehydration...And I'm hoping this storm will pass soon, I'll be back as soon as it's clear, it's not as scary as you'd think-" Ian (From off of camera, into walkie) "Negative ghost rider. Stay on that ship tonight...Less risk, the better...You won't be able to see tonight...Marshall and I will survive." From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike (Sighs in frustration) "Copy that...I'm on to something about Bouvet...I don't have the answer yet...but I found Serge's notepad, it has this weird logo on the cover...Something I think I've seen before...but I can't remember...maybe I'm crazy...but anyway, in this journal it's all in Russian, and I can't translate it until I get back to my laptop...but there's a map, of Bouvet. And there's three lines all meeting in the center of Olav peak...can you do a search online?" Ian (Grabbing the "Go Pro" camera and turning it towards the laptop, into walkie) "On it!" Ian is heard typing into the laptop, and the screen pulls up a search for Bouvet Island. Ian clicks on images, and a list of various images containing a Bouvet Island is seen. Ian scrolls the screen down until he stops over a black and white map of the world. Ian (Into walkie) "What do you know about ley-lines?" Mike (From walkie) "Not much...what's the idea exactly?" Ian (Into walkie) "Depends on your wave of thinking, but current belief is landforms connected by spiritual or mystical alignments-" Mike (From walkie) "Save me the mystic shit." Ian (Into walkie) "...Its not just mumbo-jumbo...these lines, go all over the world...I'm talking Bermuda Triangle, Dragons Triangle, Great Pyramid in Giza-Egypt, Easter Island, the Nazca Lines in Lima-Peru, and a whole bunch of other places are all linked...CERN!...Oh wow, the hadron collider is on the list as well...ALL of these places are linked to seismic activity or energy portals-" Mike (From walkie) "Is Bouvet is on the list?!" Ian is heard typing for a couple of searches. Ian (Into walkie) "I dunno...nothing is really saying for sure." Mike (From walkie) "Is there any maps?...Like, numbered?" Ian (Typing, then into walkie) "Ye-yeah!...Am I looking for something?" From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) In the wheelhouse, Mike holds the notepad map out for the camera Mike (Looking down to the map) "The number six-zero." Ian (From walkie) "Holy...shit...that's us, that's Bouvet!...What does that mean?" Mike (Looking around) "Serge, or whatever his name was, and his buddies were wanting to find out what NASA or the Norwegians know...Listen, if Serge's buddies arrive before I leave tomorrow, you guys need to know, I stashed two of the rifles down at the blind and the 9mm in the tech lab." From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) Ian sets at the desk in front of the laptop, then looks in the drawer and pulls the gun out. Ian stuffs the handgun on the inside of his jacket, and grabs the walkie. Ian (Typing on the keyboard, then into walkie) "Got the handgun...We'll be fine till morning...You should get sleep...Hey, it looks like low tide is at 7:00 am...You probably should go ahead and get up at six." Mike (From walkie) "You trying to get off the line?" A distinct thud is heard off of camera, and Ian looks over his left shoulder. Ian (Into walkie) "Yeah, I think Marshall is back-" Mike (From walkie) "Already?...Maybe he found her! Go check!" Ian (Into walkie) "Alright man, try to get some sleep...We're gonna need you at one hundred percent tomorrow." Mike (From walkie) "Ok...See you guys in the morning." Ian sets the walkie down, then slowly gets out of the chair, grabbing the "Go Pro" camera, and strapping it to his head. His view never leaves the door, he removes the gun from his jacket and makes his way across the room. Ian makes his way towards the door, then silently opens it to the dark cold on the other side. The camp is slightly lit up as the wind blows hard. Ian looks over to the living container, it's door is open and caught swinging in the wind. Ian is heard sighing as he looks around the camp for a moment before slowly making his way over to the open container. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike sets at the controls of the wheelhouse; looking into his phone, he watches as Ian makes his way across the snow and towards the open container. Mike looks to the walkie in his right hand, then back to the screen. Mike changes the camera to Ian's "Go Pro" and watches as Ian slowly opens the front door and looks in for movement. The living container is void of movements or occupants, and Ian makes his way inside. Inside, he looks around, then begins to head back to the door when the television jumps to life. The screen screams with static, causing Ian to jump and point the gun in its direction. Ian laughs at himself, with the gun drawn towards the television, then looks around for the remote. Underneath his foot, he catches part of the remote squished into the floor. Ian (Relived) "Oh...shit...hah-hah...just like a fucking horror flick...Get it together man." Ian pockets the gun and switches the television off and turns towards the door then immediately jumps back as Marshall is right behind him. Marshall is standing with his head down, right hand massaging his temple. Ian "Jez-us!...Fuck man!...You-you ok?...Another headache?" Marshall still looking down, doesn't respond. Still rubbing his temple, his eyes look glazed over. Ian hesitates, then slowly starts to reach into his coat, when Marshall responds. Marshall (Still looking down) "...Yeah..." Ian (Hand still in his coat) "You...ok, man?...Maybe you should lie down. Here, I'll grab you some water." Ian doesn't move, still holding his position as Marshall doesn't respond, still rubbing his temple. Marshall's left hand jerks up and starts rubbing his left temple. Ian steps back, then makes his way over to the faucet, and pours a glass of water, never turning his back to Marshall. Ian slowly makes his way over to Marshall and holds out the water for him. Ian "Here man...The headache, is just dehydration...You need some water in ya." Marshall (Still rubbing both temples, slowly looks up to Ian) "Yeah...yeah." Marshall takes the water with his right hand, but continues rubbing his temple with the left. Marshall drinks the entire glass in one motion, then drops the glass to the ground without a care, then goes back to rubbing his temples. The cup clangs on the ground, and Ian steps back. Ian "Did you see any trace of Aria?" Marshall doesn't respond; continuing to rub his temples, and looking to the ground. Ian (Pressing for an answer) "Marshall, did you see Aria out there?" Marshall slowly looks up, his right eye is slightly glossy. Ian doesn't notice the eye, and continues trying to get an answer. Ian "Marshall!...Can you hear me?!...Snap out of it!" Marshall blinks, then repeatedly blinks and looks to Ian confused. Marshall stops rubbing his temple, and looks around frightened. Marshall "Man...I don't...remember...ANYTHING since I left...I don't remember GETTIN back here!" Ian (Removing his empty hand from his coat, and walking over to Marshall) "What do you mean?...You remember leaving to look for Aria, right?...What's the last thing you remember?" Marshall (Looking wide eyed to Ian) "Aria?...I remember...heading back into the cold...I was...on my way to the shore...I...I thought I heard something from my walkie...then, I was here, with you." Ian "What did you hear from your walkie?...Like a buzzing sound or-" Marshall (Looking up to Ian confused) "I heard...Aria...Plain as day, she was telling me she was at the beach...and I needed...to be there...it...it doesn't make sense." Ian "...nothing else? That's it?" Marshall (Beginning to look distraught) "Man, what the fuck am I going to do?!...WHAT THE FUCK AM I GOING TO DO?!" Ian (Trying to calm Marshall) "We're going to stay together...As soon as it's daylight, we'll find Aria, Mikey will come ashore, and we'll go get Tony, and go home-" Marshall "NO!...Aria is STILL ALIVE!...I HEARD HER ON THE WALKIE!...WE are NOT leaving her to freeze! Come on!" Ian "Whoa man, you JUST CAME BACK from trying to get to the shore, and you can't even remember the last fifteen minutes?...No way am I taking you with me, I'LL go search for her, ok?" Marshall (Looking impatient) "She's MY GIRL!...What you can't TRUST ME?!" Ian "Right now, no...You're having these headaches, you can't remember shit...Let ME go find her, you NEED to get some rest...You're stressed, exhausted, just STAY HERE!" Marshall "FUCK THAT!...Would YOU sit back and wait, if it was YOUR GIRL!?" Ian "DUDE!...SOMETHING is WRONG with you!...You're not-" Marshall "I'M FUCKING BROKEN MAN!...ARIA'S OUT THERE!...AND WHAT AM I DOING!?" Ian "You're being smart, man!...You are in NO CONDITION to go back out there!...Now, sit down, and shut the fuck up!...Here!" Ian heads over to Tony's bag and searches inside, then retrieves a pill bottle. Ian empties three hydrocodones into his hand. Ian (Hands the pills to Marshall) "...Here's a couple ibuprofens for your headache." Marshall (Taking the pills slightly annoyed) "You know Tony NEVER had no ibuprofens on him!" Ian walks over and grabs the cup from the floor and refills it from the faucet. Ian walks the cup back to Marshall, and hands it over. Marshall (Pills in one hand, the cup in the other) "Man, what are you doing!?...Go get her!" Ian "I will, I will...pop those pills first, and I'll go get her." Marshall eyes Ian, then reluctantly pops the three pills before downing them with a swig of water. Marshall "See?...Now are you gonna go!?" Ian "Yes, man...I'll be back, just set down and get some rest ok?...If anything happens, you can call Mike on the walkie...I'll be back in like an hour...Get something warm ready for us...Were gonna need it." Ian takes the "Go Pro" camera and sets it on the counter in the kitchen area, facing Marshall, the bunk beds and television. Ian walks out of the cameras view, opening the door and closing it off of camera. Marshall stands facing the camera, then shakes his head and walks over to one of the bottom bunks and sits down. Marshall reaches over and grabs the remote and holds it up to the television for a moment before turning it on. The room illuminates white and static is heard coming from the television. Marshall clicks multiple channels, each time the room flashes to another channel of static. Marshall turns the volume down to nothing, and begins messing with the television's setting through the remote. Marshall attempts multiple times before reacting to what the screen is showing. Marshall stares at the screen wide eyed, then gets up and runs over to the camera and grabs it, then rushes back to the television. Marshall holds the "Go Pro" camera towards the television, revealing the same view from the mounted "Go Pro" just outside on the television. Marshall "How...in the fuck is THAT happening!?" Marshall holds the "Go Pro" towards the television as he makes his way towards the door, then opens it. Marshall makes sure to be seen in camera, before turning back to the television. On the screen nothing changes, and Marshall repeats stepping out and waving to the camera. Returning inside quickly, he looks to the television to see nothing changing on the screen. Marshall (To himself) "What the fuck?" Marshall closes the door, and returns to the television. On its screen, the camp sets in darkness. Marshall waits a moment, and nothing changes. Marshall (Into walkie) "Hey Mike, you there?...For some reason the mounted camera is coming up on the tv...Yo man, you there?...Mike?" Giving up, he walks the camera back over to the counter then returns to the bunks, and sets down on the bottom and stretch out, remote in hand. The camera speeds up for thirty three minutes as Marshall watches the television, while slowly nodding off. Marshall's head drops to his chest, the remote falls from his hand to the bed. The camera slows down, when the television changes to static, with the volume slowly rising to an ear piercing roar comes from the television. Marshall doesn't move until the sound of a ringing is picked up by the camera. Marshall's legs are seen twitching extremely fast, then his arms start twitching, then shaking until his entire body is shaking and convulsing. Marshall's eyes jet open, but only his whites are seen before his body slowly begins to levitate off of the bed. Suspended in the air, the camera begins to blur with waves of distortion. One by one every electrical appliance begins to burst energy and make popping sounds. In an instant, all of the electrical appliance surge as Marshall's body is covered in static. The camera begins to power down as Marshall's shaking body lowers to the bed, and the screen goes to black. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike sits in the wheelhouse looking down toward his phone, on the screen he watches as the "Go Pro" camera flashes static with Marshall's body hovering above his bed, then powers down. Mike gasps then fumbles for the walkie, screaming into it he keeps his view towards the small screen. Mike (Into walkie) "IAN!...COME IN, IAN!...IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, MARSHALL IS BEING ATTACKED!...IAN, COME IN!!" Mike sets and watches the mounted camera's screen, impatiently. Mike (To himself, then into walkie) "Come on-come on-come on-COME ON!...IAN, COME IN!...EMERGENCY!...EMERG-" Mike stops in mid sentence as a dark shadowy figure emerges from the living container. In the dark, Marshall is seen without his winter gear on, standing in the doorway, his head lowered, shoulders broad. Marshall looks from left to right, keeping his head lowered, then slowly walks towards the camera, then continues on over the ridge and away from camp off of camera. Mike (Gasping, then into walkie) "IAN!...MARSHALL IS...POSSESSED AND COMING TOWARDS YOU!...HE DOESNT HAVE HIS COAT ON, ITS...NOT AFFECTING HIM!...IAN!!" Mike looks around the wheelhouse then to the first aid kit mounted on the wall next to the door. Mike rushes over and throws it open, on its bottom shelf a flare gun. Mike snatches the gun, and scrambles out the door with gun in one hand and walkie in the other. Mike jumps the sets of stairs, landing awkwardly, he falls to hands. Getting up, he bolts for the door to the deck, then out into the cold, he sprints to the rear of the ship. Mike (Into walkie) "IAN!...COME IN, IAN!" Mike waits only a moment before firing the flare gun into the air. Immediately a red trail extends from the gun, and shoots straight into the sky high above the ship. The deck of the ship illuminates a red over its now snow covered deck. The red trail pops high, then fizzles back to nothing. The red stays bright for a couple of moments before fizzling into the darkness. Mike waits on the deck, walkie in hand. Mike (Into walkie) "IAN, COME IN!" Mike waits a couple of moments before jogging back inside and up the stairs to the wheelhouse. Mike tries to call Ian on his phone, but has no reception. Mike begins to pace the small wheelhouse, looking from different angles to the darkened island. The windows offer no help, as only a small outline of Bouvet is seen in the murky white fog surrounding the ship. Mike (Starting to panic) "Fuck!...Come on-come on...IAN PICK UP!...GOD-DAMMIT!...WHERE IN THE FUCK ARE YOU!?" Mike pulls the "Go Pro" app back up, and freezes as he sees Ian making his way back into camp on the mounted camera. Mike (Into walkie) "IAN!...PICK UP YOUR DAM WALKIE!" Mike watches as Ian seemingly doesn't hear, and continues inside the living container. From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) The "Go Pro" camera powers up, and Ian straps it to his head, looking around the room. Ian "Are you kidding me!?...Where in the fuck did Marshall go!?" Ian checks the bathroom before pulling the walkie from his coat. Ian (Into walkie) "Hey Marshall or Mike, you there?" Mike (From walkie) "YES!...IAN!...LOCK THAT FUCKING DOOR!...NOW!" Ian stands upright, then looks to the door. Ian (Into walkie) "Yeah Mikey, where's Marshall?" Mike (From walkie) "LOCK THE FUCKING DOOR!" Ian reacts and rushes to the door, locking it with a simple turn of the wrist. Ian (Into walkie) "Ok...WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?" Mike (From walkie) "WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN!?...I'VE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU, MARSHALL IS...compromised." Ian (Shaking his head confused before responding into walkie) "What!?...WHERE is he!?...What's going on!?" Mike (From walkie) "Some kind of...radio interference, or energy...his body started to levitate, then the camera shut off...On the mounted camera, I watched him walk towards the shore WITHOUT his coat!" Ian Looks around the room, then calls back. Ian (Into walkie) "I went and checked out the blind, yeah-there were no guns...You SURE you left them there?" Mike (From walkie) "YES!...It had to be Aria...You still got the 9mm?" Ian "Yeah...Ok, I'm NOT leaving this room till you're on the kodiak coming to get me...I'm officially freaked the fuck out...I'm not getting any sleep tonight." Mike (From walkie) "Copy that...I'll keep an eye on the mounted camera...If he-it comes back, I'll let you know." Ian sets the walkie down and rips the "Go Pro" camera from his head in a fit of rage, screaming as loud as he can. Ian "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCK!!" Ian tosses the "Go Pro" camera and begins to weep off of camera. From Mounted Camera The camp sets empty in the moonlight. Snow lightly dusting the ground. The only thing moving is the Norwegian flag, swaying in the wind. The camera speeds up time from both Ian and Mike's "Go Pro" cameras, both pace and nervously look around their surroundings. Ian is seen reheating the left overs and eating it quickly, as he flips through static on the television. Mike walks from the wheelhouse to every room in the ship, looking for something eluding him. Ian returns from the bathroom to lie down on the other bottom bunk, as the same time Mike is seen riffling through the crew's belongings until his hands fall upon a baggie, full of a white substance. The camera slows down, and resumes real time. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike holds the baggie out, and stares at it while taking a couple of deep breaths. Mike (Shaking his head, to himself) "...well, you got what you came for." Mike makes his way to the closest restroom, then takes a long look in the mirror. Mike (Staring into himself) "You're NOT going to fall again!...This is to SURVIVE!...Ian NEEDS YOU, Mike!" Mike unzips the baggie, while staring at himself in the mirror. Dipping his pinkie finger into the substance, he returns the finger to his mouth, and tastes it. Mike rubs the rest on his gums, and sucks his finger clean. Mike (Breathing extascy) "Ahhh...cocaine...this is just a one night stand girl." Mike sprinkles a small amount on the counter, closes the baggie and looks around. Mike fumbles through the drawers until he finds a razor blade. Cutting the white powder into four lines, Mike searches his pockets. Retrieving only the map of Bouvet from Serge's notepad, Mike rolls it into a tube and snorts all the lines at once. Pocketing the razor in his shirt pocket, the map in his pants, and the cocaine in his jacket, Mike makes his way out of the room. Thinking with his hands, he heads down the hall and into Serge's room. Mike searches the room and makes a pile of notebooks, pictures, and identification. Then repeats the process in the crew's quarters, retrieving a backpack, Mike stuffs everything into it, then heads to the engine room. Taking a couple of pictures of the two deceased men on his phone, free hand covering his mouth and nose. Mike leaves, closing the hatch brings a fit of gagging and dry heaving. Mike heads up to the wheelhouse stuffing Serge's notes, the ship's documentation, and log all into the backpack before heading back downstairs to the main hallway. Mike (Looking down both hallways) "What else-what else-what else?" From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) The camera sets on the counter, facing Ian from across the room. Ian lays sprawled out on the tiny single mattress, his feet dangling over the end, his head rests upright, chin to chest. His only movement is breathing deep breaths. In front of his feet, the television illuminates then slowly gains in volume of static. The volume levels off then from the television a wavy voice come through its speakers, moaning then the noise turns to a high pitched screeching. Ian jerks upright, eyes still closed and the sound dies off. From the television the voice distorts and changes to sound like Marshall with an echo. The television "I-I-Ian!...C-C-Can y-y-you h-h-hear m-m-me?" Ian (Eyes closed, but seemingly awake) "Marshall?...Yeah man, of course." The television "I-I-It's c-c-cold o-o-out h-h-here...c-c-can y-y-you o-o-open t-t-the d-d-door m-m-man?" Ian "What?...Where are you?" The television "Y-Y-You l-l-locked t-t-the d-d-door...L-l-let m-m-me i-i-in." From Mounted Camera The camp sets empty, without a cloud it illuminates a bright white. In the distance, clouds begin to roll over the island, towards camp. From "Go Pro" Camera (Ian) Ian gets up, and walks over to the door. With his eyes closed, he fumbles with the door, then opens it to an empty camp. Ian stands at the door, holding it open before visibly waking up. Stepping back Ian scans outside before slamming the door and locking it. Ian stands at the door, unnerved and looking around confused. Ian walks over to the walkie and calls into it. Ian (Into walkie) "Marshall?...You out there man?" Ian looks around the room confused, then turns off the television without a second thought. Ian (Into walkie) "Mike?...You copy?" From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike unwraps a garbage bag, and throws the backpack inside. Tying it off, he wraps the bag in duct tape, then tapes two different life preservers to the garbage bag, and a length of rope. The walkie screams Ian's voice, and Mike grabs it quickly to respond. Mike (Into walkie) "Mike here, what's up?" Ian (From walkie) "Shits fucky over here!...I just woke up from sleepwalking to the door." Mike (Into walkie) "You didn't open it, did you!?" Ian (From walkie) "I woke up, and it was open...I don't remember getting up or walking to the door!" Mike (Sighing in frustration before responding) "Ok...TRY and stay up tonight...Keep walking around, take a cold shower...SOMETHING...I'm not sleeping tonight, I'm getting shit ready for transport-" Ian (From walkie) "Are you close to the camera?...I kinda want to grab the laptop." Mike (pulling the phone from his pocket) "Hold on...Gotta pull it up." Mike looks towards the screen as the "Go Pro" app opens, and Mike clicks the mounted feed at camp. It sets vacant of life, with a thick layer of white on top of everything. Mike (Into walkie) "You look clear." As soon as the Mike clicks the walkie, static covers the phone's screen. Mike (Into walkie) "ABORT!...ABORT!!" The walkie crackles and no response is heard. Mike looks back to the phone, as the static disappears from the screen. In a flash, standing at the door, Marshall stands with no winter gear on, his head down, shoulders broad. Mike (Screaming into the walkie) "IAN!!...NO!!" From "Go Pro"Camera (Ian) Standing at the door, Ian open the door slowly. Immediately Marshall moves in Ian's face. Marshall's eyes are completely white, with an inhuman growl coming from his mouth, a long bit of drool hanging from his mouth. Ian (Reacting) "Oh-SHIT!" Ian moves to slam the door, but Marshall catches the door with one hand, and holds it as Ian struggles to keep the door from flying open. Ian braces against the door and and looks back to the room, looking around then back to the door. Marshall's left hand is seen griping the door, then slowly pushes it back open. Ian (Struggling to hold the door) "WHAT-THE-FUCK!?" Marshall moves the door back with one hand, as Ian gives up holding the door, and jumps back defensively. Searching in his jacket, Ian retrieves the gun, and points it at Marshall, as he slowly walks into the room. Ian (With gun pointed) "Marshall, if you can hear me...I'm sorry man...I'm NOT dying here." Marshall's growl changes pitch, then raises into an ear piercing screech. Ian's right thumb clicks the safety off, then takes a deep breath. The gun pops three shots in the small room, and the sound is loud. Marshall reacts to two shots in his chest, the third whizzes by his head. Marshall lets out another loud screech, then lunges towards Ian. Marshall lands into Ian, and the "Go Pro" camera falls to the ground, facing the cabinet. Ian and Marshall struggle off of camera, with the sound of wrestling and furniture breaking. Marshall is heard screeching, as Ian is heard breathing hard. Three more pops are heard, and Marshall's screeching slowly subsides. Ian continues breathing hard, then begins to panic. Ian (Off of camera) "Oh-fuck, oh-fuck, oh-fuck!...FUCK!...Marshall-FUCK!" The sound of something sliding to the floor is heard before Ian storms out of the room. From Mounted Camera Ian walks from the living space, to the open area and begins pacing back and forth. Ian looks to the camera, then to his walkie. Ian (Into walkie) "Oh fuck, Mike...you out there?...You see?" Ian holds the walkie out with no response, then tries again. Ian (Into walkie) "MIKE!...ARE YOU THERE!?...COME ON MAN, ANSWER ME!" Ian looks around the area, then notices the light coming from the door to the living space. Ian steps back, then looks around quickly as the light flashes and pulses. Ian takes a step towards the technology container, and is immediately hit by a pulse of energy. The sound of a high pitch frequency affects him, and causes distortion on the mounted camera. Ian's hand moved to his temples, and is immediately bent over from pain. Ian "Arrgghahh!...WHAT...THE...FUCK!?" Ian disappears into the technology container. He slams the door causing the camera to vibrate as the camera begins to fade over with static. The Mounted camera begins to pick up a high pitch frequency, then it continues to grow until the camera's lenses distort the entire screen. Under the distorted image a flash of light hovers over the camp then the light flashes bright over the island. A slow rumble begins to shake the camera violently, before the camera falls from its perch and tumbles to the ground. Everything around the camp begins to tremble, snow shakes from rocks in the area, causing movement. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Mike stares at the screen gasping incoherently as the screen flares white. Mike (To himself) "Fuc...what?" Mike looks up and out the wheelhouse window to see the white fog is now surrounding Bouvet, and he is alone on a clear moonlit ocean. What looks to be lightning flashes in the white fog. Mike (Gasping) "Ian...God no." Mike looks back to the camera to see Ian sock footed feet slowly walk past the camera. Mike stares speechless into the screen for a moment. Mike (Into walkie) "Ian?...Ian, please God tell me you're there." Mike twitches to the right, then looks around. Holding the walkie up as he looks around the room. Mike (Into walkie) "Ian!...Come on, man!...Please pick up-pick up-pick up!" A second later Mike looks again, then to his phone. Turning up the volume on the phone, he raises the walkie one more time. Mike (Into walkie) "Ian?...Ian?" On the phone Mike hears himself calling to Ian just off of camera. The walkie (Off of camera) "Ian?...Ian?" Mike crumbles to the ground, rips the camera from his head and begins to weep all in one move. The camera films the ground and part of Mike's leg as he openly cries. His hand reaches over and the camera screen goes black. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) The camera powers up and records as Mike sets on the bed in the captains quarters. Mike sets with his phone on the bed to his right, next to him, the bag of cocaine, and in between his legs, the assault rifles faces upwards. Mike sniffs back flem from his nose and sighs hard. Mooning from the gun, then to the phone, it's screen covered with Alan image of the dark empty camp. Mike looks down to the gun, the camera immediately zooms in on the blackened barrel. Mike "Arrggghh!" Mike jumps up, grabbing the cocaine and heads into the small bathroom. Dropping the large bag of cocaine, Mike begins to stare at himself in the mirror. His face red, and eyes watery in the reflection. The look of utter defeat paints his face with a white drained hue. Mike pours the bag out on the counter, still staring at himself. Mike stares at himself for a couple of minutes without saying a word, then without warning Mike begins to destroy everything in sight, starting with the cocaine flying into a powder in the air. Mike pulls out the cabinets and yanking them from their hinges, ripping the cabinet doors off, the. smashes the mirror with the broken door. Mike kicks the folding door right from its mount, then begins tearing Serge's room apart. The bed flips, then the dresser's drawers fly across the room. Mike collapses into the floor, and instinctively grabs the assault rifle, and puts its barrel under his chin. The sound of his panicked breaths are heard, then all is silent as a familiar click from the gun is heard. Mike (Crying out) "Are you fucking KIDDING ME!?" Mike tosses the rifle from his grip across the room , and it lands with a loud pop from the barrel. Mike jumps back from the mess, looking towards the smoking barrel. Mike draws over to the rifle, and points it at himself. The hollow click from its trigger, causes another round of swearing. Mike (Looking the rifle over) "What...why?" Mike points the rifle towards the dresser mirror and squeezes off a round. Immediately the reflection of Mike disappears as the mirror shatters into bits. Mike shakes his head frustration, setting down, he removes the camera from his head. Mike's legs are filmed as the camera dangles from his hand in between his knees. Mike (From off of camera) "Fuck-ing kidding-me!?" From off of camera, a hum begins to resonate, and Mike drops the camera to the ground. Mike (From off of camera) "What the....fuck!?" The hum begins to gain in volume, causing Mike to quickly get up and head towards the bathroom. Off of camera, the toilet paper is heard being unraveled, and Mike returns a moment later. Picking up the camera from the ground, Mike's face is seen, two rolled up wads of toilet paper extending from his ears. The hum continues, but Mike barely registers when he attempts to listens. Mike (Into the camera) "It's got something to do with electricity...or sound waves...I'm on to you...and if I can't hear you, I won't become...like them." Mike grabs the backpack; assault rifle, his camera and the walkie, then heads back to the wheelhouse. Looking out the front window, Bouvet is seen with a crystal clear night surrounding it. Mike slowly shakes his head, and sets down behind the wheel. Taking a deep breath, he looks towards the island, and powers the camera off. From "Go Pro" Camera (Mike) Date: Thursday, a December 4th, 2015 Location: Rear deck of the "The Surge" Time: 6:15 am The camera powers back on and begins recording as Mike gathers throws a couple of backpacks into the kodiak. The sun hasn't risen yet, but the sky is a greying blue. Mike tosses the rifle in the kodiak, then walks over to the controls, and flips the switch. Lowering out of view, the kodiak disappears towards the water. Mike watches it as it touches down on the somewhat calm waves. Returning to the controls, Mike powers it off, then takes one last look towards the ship. Mike climbs over the edge of the hull, and begins descending down the side of the ship on a mounted ladder. Mike reaches the bottom, and jumps safely into the kodiak, then unties the raft from its lines. Turning towards the Bouvet, Mike sits at the engine, and starts it up on the first try. Mike bounces off of the waves, slowly turning the raft in the direct route of Bouvet, he begins to steer the small raft in the now rolling tide. Water sprays the camera with each bounce, and Mike steadies himself as he slowly makes his way towards land. With each wave, Mike appears incrementally closer and closer. The sun starts to jump out of the clouds as Mike reaches the halfway point between island and ship. The camera speeds up as Mike maneuvers the raft towards the enlarging landmass, until he reaches the shore. Throwing the backpack on, Mike steps onto the shore, rifle in hand. Mike pulls the kodiak further up the shore, then turns and takes in the trail leading upwards. Mike makes his way up the trail, both hands firmly on the rifle, his head strafing from side to side. The sun shines bight, and Mike takes in the clear sky with a hand shading his eyes. Slowly making his way, Mike comes up over the ridge and faces camp. With both hands on the rifle, he takes small defensive steps; each breath, the gun higher. Scanning and jerking the gun in small increments, nothing moves. Mike moves into the technology container, just outside the door, a "Go Pro" camera lies dead next to the door. Inside, the laptop hums across the room, and the electronics run with nothing out of place. On the ground the walkie and "Go Pro" camera lie in the center of the room. Mike moves to the garage, and scans quickly, with nothing moving inside. Mike slowly moves to the living space. Opening the door with reservation, he pauses before moving inside. The room slowly illuminates, and reveals the room in chaos. The bunk beds are leaning on each other, their mattresses lying on the floor. The television with a large crack along the screen. The bathroom light, still on. Mike scans the room, then lifts the mattresses with his foot. Seeing nothing he moves on to check the last blind spots. Mike looks around the room silently, before moving back out into the scold sunlight. Mike looks around the camp, then moves into the technology container. Mike quickly moves to sack up his laptop and cameras into a backpack. Mike gathers as many belongings he can, piling them in the center of camp. He repeats the process, bringing more of the groups's belongings outside. Leaving the backpack full of electronics in the technology container, he begins taking loads of gear to the kodiak, and piles them near the front of the raft. Looking skyward, Mike notices the black clouds starting to circle above Olav Peak. Mike looks back down, and walks faster back to camp. The camera speeds up as Mike makes multiple trips back to the kodiak, each succession the sky looks darker. The camera slows down as Mike reaches the camp, the sky overhead is now black. Looking up, the skies swirl around the top of Olav, and Mike reacts, searching quickly around the technology container. Mike finds a notepad, and begins to write a message. Finishing it, he tapes the note to the door. The camera catches the top of the note, revealing the words: "Anyone, if you're still alive, I will come back tomorrow morning at low tide one last time. Please reach me on the walkie, channel 5." Mike looks around one last time, then rushes over to the garage. Inside, he moves over to the pallet of supplies. Reaching inside one of the boxes, Mike pulls out a package of ear plugs and stuff them in his pocket, as he makes his way back outside. Taking in the sky, it flashes lighting and the dark clouds slowly extending towards camp. Mike (Looking upwards) "Time to go." As Mike turns to leave, his walkie squawks to life and Ian's voice is heard in waves. The walkie "M-M-Mike...a-a-are y-y-you t-t-there?...D-D-Don't l-l-leave m-m-me h-h-here a-a-alone." Mike looks down tho the walkie, it's channel is on 5. Mike looks to the walkie and responds into it. Mike (Into walkie) "Whoever...or whatever you are, you're not getting me." The walkie responds with inhuman growls and screams, then a whisper is heard. The walkie (Whispering) "...the darkness is coming for you Michael." Mike (Looking to the walkie) "Fuck that!" Mike grabs the remaining backpacks and begins moving down the trail away from camp, when the clouds rumble and pop over head. Mike doesn't look up, and continues hiking down the trail. Mike (To himself) "Don't look!...heh-heh-heh...Don't look!" Mike continues down the fresh trail in the snow, as the sky turns to night. Reaching the shoreline, Mike can barely see the kodiak. From deep behind the camera, a large siren is heard echoing over the island. It runs in three loops, then Bouvet falls silent in the darkness. Mike doesn't look back, as he turns the raft around. Setting down behind the motor, Mike looks back toward the shore. At the top of the ridge, small fast movement is seen in the distance, causing Mike to turn back to the motor. Mike panics as he begins pulling the starter cord without reaction. Mike fumbles and pulses multiple times without a noise. Mike looks back and sees hundreds of creatures coming towards him in the darkness fast. Their screeches are heard coming closer. Mike pulls on he cord, and gets a spark of life. The motor starts up, and drowns out all sound as the raft slowly makes it way away from the shore. Mike looks back as he moves into the bay of the ocean, flipping his middle finger back towards the shore. At its edge, hundreds of figures stand at its edge. Mike cuts the engine, looking back, a wave of score echoing comes towards him, then one by one, the figures start descending into the ocean. Mike (Reacting back towards the motor) "OH SHIT!" Mike guns the engine and heads back into the choppy waves. Mike reluctantly looks back to see one figure still standing at the shoreline. Larger than the rest, it silently lets out a bodily reaction before running into the ocean. Mike turns back towards the ship, and continues bouncing on the waves. The sky turning dark as night, as he continues towards "The Surge". It's hull, black, making the ship a dark blotch in the distance. The camera speeds up as Mike makes his way back to the ship. Mike holds a handheld light up towards the ship as he comes closer. Steering the kodiak around the hull, Mike maneuvers the raft towards its lift. Mike secures the ropes, then begins the process of carrying two backpacks up to the deck. After four trips the kodiak is empty outside of its motor, and Mike controls the lift until the kodiak is eye level to the deck. Mike pulls the raft onto the deck and drops it on the cement, then runs to the ship's anchor and begins raising it from the waters. After several minutes the anchor emerges from the dark water, and locks into place. Mikes picks up the his backpack, then jogs across the bouncing deck and slides inside. Once inside he rushes up the stairs and into the wheelhouse. The camera slows down once inside. Mike (Out of breath) "Heh-heh-heh...FUCK THIS!...Just go-just go!" Mike rushes to the wheel and turns the key. Powering it up without a hitch, Mike is taken back, before powering the thruster forward. Looking out the window, the skies are dark as night for as far as he can see, in every direction. Mike (Scanning all the windows slowly, deflated) "Oh-fuuuuck...oh-no-" Mike is interrupted by the walkie coming to life. The sounds are of different whispering voices, all at once. The Walkie "W-Where are you?-G-Going to go?-Y-You are alone." Mike turns the volume down, only to have no effect on the voices coming from it. Lighting flashes revealing a fog coming in near distance. Mike gasps. The Walkie "W-We can see you.-Y-You are wasting time.-Y-You are not leaving ussssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!" The walkie begins to scream at a high pitch, and Mike fumbles with it before hitting the talk back button, silencing the screams. The camera begins to receive interference, and blurs out of focus as a hum is heard from all over the ship. Mike scrambles with his free hand inside his coat pocket until it comes out with a plastic ear plugs bag. Biting it open, Mike fumbles to put them in both ears before the hum vibrates everything in the room. The camera begins to be overtaken by static as Mike reacts in panicked breaths. The hum continues to grow in strength; and Mike reacts, ripping the camera from his head. It falls to the ground. Filming from the ground, it captures Mike's feet, as he falls to his knees in pain. The hum buzzes so loud Mike is heard screaming out loud off of camera. Until a flash of white light overtakes the room and the screen wipes white. Slowly the camera comes back into focus and records the back of Mike gasping on the floor. After a moment, he slowly takes the ear plugs out. Mike's left arm is seen stretching for something off of camera, then retrieving a walkie from the floor. As he starts to get up, Mike is startled by something off of camera. Scrambling quickly past the camera, Mike is heard gasping in fear. The movement from off of camera comes closer to view, then into the remaining light. A green leg, that of a large insect. Protruding from off of camera, two sets of honey appendages hang down. Mike (From off of camera) "WHAT?!-WHAT-THE-FUCK-ARE-YOU!?!" The camera blurs as the sound of a high frequency noise begins to gain in strength. Mike (From off of camera) "FUCK-THIS!" From off of camera the sound of the walkie's call button distorts the sound. The creature reacts, and Mike is seen running past the camera, roaring with fury towards it. Mike (Running past the camera's view) "ARGH!-YOU-KILLED-MY--FRIENDS!" In an instant the distorted frequency gains unprecedentedly loud instantly, and a white pulse overtakes the camera. In a flash, the room is quiet and empty. Rocking with the waves nothing is heard. The camera continues to film the ground, until a wave like noise comes from off of camera. The wave continues until the sound of Mike's voice is heard, slightly distorted. Mike (From off of camera) "W-Where am I?...W-Who are you?...Y-Your race?" A Distorted Voice responds "W-We are the keepers of what y-you humans call time...W-We are the ones who m-maintain order...Y-You are in the h-half verse...A-An alternate universe to yours." Mike (From off of camera) "WHY am I here!?" A Distorted Voice responds "B-Because you are d-different...Y-You have a different l-light inside of y-you." Mike (From off of camera) "W-What?...WHY DID YOU TAKE MY FRIENDS!?" A Distorted Voice responds "Y-Your friends have been mov-ved...to other, s-safer universes." Mike (From off of camera) "Safer?...WHAT do you mean!?...WHERE are my friends!?" A Distorted Voice responds "This universe is no longer safe for intelligent life...You and your friends are being transported, to different worlds...for your own good." Mike (From off of camera) "WAIT!...WHAT!?" A Distorted Voice responds "This planet has been chosen for depletion, and you will be given new lives-" Mike (Interrupting from off of camera) "EXPLAIN!...WHAT ARE YOU-THIS IS TOO MUCH TO TAKE IN-" A Distorted Voice responds "You have all the time in the world now, Michael...You are in a space void of aggression or malice...Y-You have been granted access of knowledge, with the understanding you will keep s-silent about what you are s-seeing...You just need to think of the one thing you treas-sure most in life." Mike (From off of camera) "WAIT!...WHY IS THE PLANET, WITH MY MOM AND DAD, BEING DESTROYED!?...JUST DESTROYING IT!?" A Distorted Voice responds "This-ss planet, has destroyed it waters, it's air, it's atmosphere, a-all in the search for monetary gains...The mis-stakes cannot be undone, and the watch-chers have decided ...Th-here are no alternate routes...Your planet will be wiped away in less than one earth year." Mike (From off of camera) "The government...knows, don't they?" A Distorted Voice responds "Your world leaders ha-ave known of our presence all throughout his-story...Their complacency have ensured their pass-sage to other worlds." Mike (From off of camera) "WHY!?...THOSE SLIMEY BACKSTABBING WORTHLESS-" A Distorted Voice interrupts "YOU, have been chos-sen!...Y-YOU GET to start over as everyone else on this planet will suffer a s-slow end...Y-You must chose what matters MOST!" A pulse of distortion is heard growing before Mike is heard whispering the words, "Jenny". The pulse grows and snaps a loud pop through the walkie's speaker, and the sound of sparks popping from off of camera are heard, as the camera rocks with the ocean. The room is silent, as the camera slowly fades to black. White lettering soon appears, "The camera continued to record for another forty four minutes before powering off. The Russian vessel, the "The Surge" was found drifting 800 miles off the coast of Australia, on January 5th. This is the footage of its discovery." The screen comes into focus as another fishing vessel is seen coming close to the "The Surge". A man guides the ship close, then jumps from one ship to the other. The man makes his way up to the wheelhouse, and immediately looks around spotting the camera. The man picks up the camera, then moves on to the rest of the ship. The camera fades back to black with white lettering: "The ship was found abandoned of any living survivors of the ill fated trip to Bouvet Island...The ship did contain the bodies of two Russian fisherman from Cape Town, South Africa. Serge Zharkov and Alexi Rykov's families maintain that the two men posing as them in this footage was in fact NOT THEM." "The entire American crew consisting of: Marshall Ross, Aria Drake, Ian Ryan, Tony Herre, and Mike Kron are missing and presumed dead. Their families have maintained silence over the course of editing this documentary. Even when reached out to. The Ross family, have issued a court order to cease and desist soon after editing was complete." "The man who discovered the "The Surge", made two copies before flying to New York City, this is the contingency tape, made in order to inform the public without any financial reward. If this tape is being viewed, it is because the powers interested in purchasing the original, have had a hand in the finder's death." "To this day, Stephen McCallister, current CEO of Vera Media, and representatives from Vera Media claim no such film ever existed. Vera has stated that the undercover footage is nothing more than a hoax." "This film is meant for the populations of the world's to WAKE UP and realize their planet is being eroded by the ones controlling it..." "...Just because something is decided, does not mean it is guaranteed." The screen fades to black.
