THE 80S CLUB
By Pat Branch

GENRE: Comedy, Family
LOGLINE: A scrawny, pimply ugly duckling nerd has blossomed into a beautiful full figured swan and it’s her first year teaching advanced algebra to a typical cast of prep school characters.

SYNOPSIS:

It’s Bambi Johns’ first day of work at Venice Prep School and she looks hot. Everyone thinks so: her students, the faculty. They also think she’s a blonde blue-eyed bimbo, with the added bonus of students thinking she’s one of them until they enter her Advanced Algebra classroom and find out she’s not only their teacher, but was once a nerd; a status that gives her cachet with the next generation of nerds. Her really hot metrosexual boyfriend, Crow, is also a former nerd whom she met at math camp when they were young teens. Crow has a tattoo and body piercing studio, Beyond the Draw, which gives Bambi cachet with the goths and slackers. Beyond the Draw is located in The Maximum Mini Mall where her parents, their best friends, and Bambi's best friend also have successful enterprises. Bambi’s friendliness, generosity of free spirit, and popular Saturday morning yogaerobics class are a long needed breath of fresh air that invigorates Venice Prep. Plus, she’s just so easy on the eyes; too easy for the ultra handsome Advanced English Lit teacher and winning baseball coach, Zack Copper. His eyes go all dreamy every time they see her, to the point where he finally makes an unfortunate move which forces Bambi to return the favor. And that’s just the first event to make her first year of teaching a very bumpy ride. The trustworthy and loyal nerds come through for Bambi when she least expects it, though, and saves her day.
