Tim Daoust is a New York City-based composer and voice recording artist. Taking elements from his training in classical piano and composition and combining them with a passion for rock and electronic music, Tim creates music for a wide range of projects from film to contemporary dance.
His portfolio includes musical scores for independent films as well as contemporary dance and contemporary chamber music. His music has been heard on contemporary dance at Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, at the Metropolitan Room in New York City's Flatiron District, The Waltz Astoria Cafe in Brooklyn, The National Black Theater in Harlem, Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO, Brooklyn, The Lily Pad in Cambridge, MA and in the short films "Sides of the Track," an official selection at The Wildwood Film Festival, "The Feed," an official selection at NYU's First Run Festival, The NYLA International Film Festival, The LA Fear and Fantasy Film Festival, and The High Desert Shorts International Film Festival; "Sword in the Shadow" (currently in production), and "Peeper: A Sort of Love Story," which was an official selection at the Hoboken International Film Festival. He has also created a theme and underscoring for the dramatic TV series, "The Life," currently in production.
Additionally, he has done voice over work for the Discovery Channel, Sandwich Video, , Verizon Wireless, Blue Ant and MacMillan publishing.
