About Helen

My work is genre lead. I have experience of writing in a team. We adapted a well-known novel into a high octane environmental action thriller. Most of the process was done virtually, with occasional meet-ups. As part of this process I also created characters and made behavioural bibles to help with character consistency. The finished feature length script exists, but was subsequently shelved by the agency for unknown reasons.

I am afraid I do not ghost write other people's stories, though I will consider co-writing suitable projects that need further development to take them to the next level. I am mainly working on my own speculative writing projects and I occasionally work with my life partner Paul Murphy as a story or script consultant on his short film projects.

My feature length original contemporary Action Horror Comedy was a Final Draft Big Break 2018 Quarter Finalist.
The projects I am currently working on are a Paranormal Thriller, an Historical Action Drama and a novel. They are at the top of a large pile of ideas at various states of development.

As a young wordsmith I read Literature at the University of Essex. Then as a fine artist I trained at Central St Martins, London. As a mature student I won a place on the MA in Scriptwriting programme at the University of East Anglia, UK. I am based in London.
