SYNOPSIS:

Ava's life has been turned upside down...for the second time. After helping the FBI put away her husband, Bobby, a man with a double life as a kingpin of a Costa Rican drug cartel, she is put in the witness protection program. Instead of going where the agent tells her, Ava takes her new identity to her hometown of Chicago to start a new life, the city she ran away from ten years before and kept secret. Back in Chicago now as Holly Gordon, Ava reconnects with her sister, Maria and begins life anew. Soon she falls in love with a man named Justin, and life seems like it's perfect once again. Only her whole new life is built on a foundation of secrets that are about to unravel. Diana London, the woman Justin left for Holly, knows Holly isn't what she appears to be, and with the help of Luke Fowler, she enacts her revenge on Justin by picking apart Holly's past. Bobby is let out of prison on a technicality and plans vengeance on the woman who stole his freedom... Ava. It doesn't take him long to track her down in Chicago, but something isn't what it seems. Wilcox, the agent that helped Ava get away from Bobby the first time, is concerned about her when Bobby is released, because he knows she's not where she would be safe. He too sets out to track her down and save her before Bobby can kill her. However, there's an unknown factor helping Bobby and always keeping him one step ahead of Wilcox. But the secrets that Ava thinks are keeping herself and those she loves safe, are actually putting Ava and everyone around her in greater danger. Someone dies a horrible death in a case of mistaken identity, and the final shootout leaves another person dead, one shot, and another in grave danger.
