SYNOPSIS:

Dean Richards just wants to be normal, but he's not. For as long as he can remember he's had to take medication so he doesn't see strange things: auras, bizarre energy patterns and sometimes… dark abominations. Then, the three people he cares about most - his Fiancé, his boss and his neighbor - all fall into the same type of mysterious coma. This, of course, terrifies and devastates Dean but, in addition, it perplexes both the medical establishment and the local police. Why do three people in the same city all suddenly get the same - unheard of until now - condition and how is it that they are all connected to Dean Richards? Not only does Dean lose everyone he loves most; he is suspected as somehow causing their condition. In his search for answers Dean is lead to Jimmy Edwards, the son of a famous psychic and medium Mary Edwards. Dean learns that when he was small boy his father - a scientist - hired Mary in a desperate attempt to make contact with his mother after she died of cancer. During a psychic experiment something went terribly wrong; they stumbled upon a dark reality and several beings from that other reality were accidentally killed. Now they’re back for revenge. Dean realizes the only way to destroy this growing darkness is to accept his abilities and face who he truly is. He abandons his meds and no longer subdues his talents. Ultimately, Dean learns that as a child he was part of the psychic experiments and is much closer than he could have imagined to the evil he must destroy.
