I am a college student from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I am currently a Senior at Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana. I am attending LAFSC in Los Angeles for my last semester before I go back to Huntington for graduation. I am a Film Production major with a Theater minor. I have been involved in many student film productions, was a production assistant on the set of the independent feature film Praying the Hours, and I was an extra on the set of the George Clooney film The Ides of March. I have also been a part of theater productions, both plays and musicals, in high school and in college.
I got a lot of my inspiration for film from my father, Joe, who took me to movies and always had us stay after to watch the credits. He would tell me a little bit about each position, and as a kid it was astounding to see all the jobs that were required to complete a full production. I enjoyed learning about jobs with interesting names like foley artist and best boy, and I also got to see how studios and directors worked with the same people for specific jobs on each of their movies. Sometimes I could even guess who did the cinematography or sound editing on a movie before the credits rolled. When I started college as a film production major, I already had a good amount of knowledge about the roles on a film set thanks to my father.
Some of my favorite filmmakers are Michael Mann, David Fincher, and Sydney Pollack. A few of my favorite actors are Christian Bale, Sean Penn, and Daniel Craig. Some of my favorite actresses are Nicole Kidman, Tina Fey, and Meryl Streep. My favorite film is Michael Mann’s Collateral. It was the movie that made me realize I want to make movies.
Unique traits: Can grow a goatee/ soul patch/ mustache if necessary. I have a twin brother.
