SYNOPSIS:

“SOFTENING STONE FACE” is set in the southern part of North Carolina centered in the city of Wilmington. It has a small core cast and a handful of locations. It could be made on a limited budget while using the city itself for filming. Roman has learned to fight to survive in life and on the streets. He has been on his own more or less since his Dad left him and his alcoholic mom. When one fight leads to more and more and Roman blacking out longer each time his world is bound to come crashing down. Tom Curoto has seen so much in his many years on the force. He has dealt with some really hard cases that touched him in different ways. He didn’t know that he would be the one to touch someone else’s life in a much bigger way. He first came across Roman as a sad teenager sitting on a set of stairs in a dark alley. Little did he know just how big a part in that boys’ life he would become. Officer Curoto tries to help Roman but it becomes clear that he needs direction and maybe even a good kick in the ass. This is where Max inters Romans life and with the use of a little Zen helps him learn how to channel all his hate and anger. The only thing that could stand in the way of softening Romans stone face is buried in a past Max wants to forget. Can they get past this obstacle or are the secrets just too much? “SOFTENING STONE FACE” is about a troubled teen turned adult who learns that life is more than he has been shown. With love, control and a little twist no one will see coming he may just learn something.
