A Biography of Ezra Pound: Poet, visionary, critic, contrarian, expatriate, antisemite, fascist, traitor, lunatic, mute. His life, intercut with a visit by beat poet Alan Ginsberg, spans the 20th Century: London during the Modernist Revolution of the 1910’s, the “Lost Generation” of Paris in the 20’s, Italy during the rise of Fascism and World War 2, on trial for treason and confined to a lunatic asylum in Washington D.C. during the 50’s and 60s, and then Venice in the 70’s, betrayed by his own words, filled with regret, silence, and ultimately apologizing for his antisemitism.
