SYNOPSIS:
BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS: Angel Perez is the main enforcer for a ruthless Mexican drug lord. When Ricardo Oliva is released from a short prison stay, he returns to his territory with a vengeance. Insulted by his conviction and frustrated with petty thugs attempting to claim his territory, Oliva uses Perez to do some 'spring cleaning'. The ambitious and dedicated aspiring don gladly does his work, yet in between jobs, he's bedding Oliva's girlfriend Migdalia. Though his day-to-day job and love interest can possibly decrease his life span, Perez maintains some sense of 'normalcy' in the relationship with his screenwriting younger brother Antonio. The senior Perez solicits his boss' aid in helping to make Antonio's dreams of becoming a successful screenwriter a reality, however, Oliva's aid proves more detrimental than beneficial when his hot-headed lynch men, the Orozco Brothers, take things too far. Antonio is arrested for murder and Angel loses control. As junior tries to help big brother out of his legal challenges by working with the police, the elder Perez declares a one-man war on anyone and everyone in his path. Oliva decides to put an end to his headache; after all, the betrayal with Migdalia was one thing, now this young punk is disrespecting his money and power. When Oliva attempts to take out Angel, Antonio intervenes, along with the detectives he secretly works with, to save his life; yet in the end, though Oliva doesn't pull the trigger, Angel's last breath is taken. Fulfilling a life-long vow to always take care of his little brother, Angel relays secret info to Antonio as he lay dying in his arms. Heartbroken and in shock, Antonio experiences death first-hand as he is about to embark on a new life. His beloved older brother leaves to him a substantial amount of funds that he had been stealing from his boss. With this 'inheritance', Antonio sets out to make his deceased brother proud and produces his first screenplay.
