About Amanda

Amanda Pereira is an actress, singer, and writer based out of Toronto, Canada.

She has her Specialized BA in Psychology from York University and has studied acting and music in Toronto and Los Angeles.

She was published at the age of 14 with a short story A Corrupted Kid that was included in The Poetry Institute of Canada’s Treasures from the Campfire (2005). In 2014 she co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in the 22-minute comedy pilot Underdogs currently in post-production. Her short film Pen, which she wrote and will star in, is now in pre-production scheduled to shoot in 2015. She came in fourth place in Cineplex Entertainment's nationwide search to find an on-screen host for Cineplex's Pre-Show. Amanda thrives on creating her own material and collaborating with other artists.

When she's not performing, Amanda runs a breast cancer research study for young couples (Couplelinks.ca) and works in commercial casting in Toronto.
