About Samantha

Samantha Clay was born and raised in a West Virginia coal mine. Her mother was a mountain, and her father was John Denver. After school, she drove out to Los Angeles to pursue acting with nothing but a dream and trunk full of shoes. When her plan to become immediately discovered was thwarted, she created her own opportunities by writing comedy sketches and casting herself. She attended the Sundance Episodic Lab in 2022 with her adult animated comedy pilot THE GROWTH. It also won the Roadmap Writers Jump Start Pilot Competition and the New Voices in Animation Screenwriting Contest and placed in several others. Her writing has been featured at The Groundlings, Towne Street Theater, the ABC Discovers Talent Showcase, and several online web-series. She looks forward to her next big adventure, as well as her next big quesadilla.
