Risto R Muzik is a film & TV composer. He works in Los Angeles and London.
He started his career in London under the guidance of film composer Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Kick Ass & Layer Cake), he then moved to Los Angeles to work for film composer Klaus Badelt(Pirates Of The Caribbean, Constantine & Poseidon).
Since then Risto has gone onto work on a wide of range projects such as the action thriller “Blitz” starring Jason Statham, the Wachowski Brothers produced martial arts film “Ninja Assassin”, Bravo’s hit TV show “Millionaire Matchmaker”, "Night of the Living Dead" from Simon West Productions(Tomb Raider, Con Air) and "Motel" starring Robert De Niro and John Cusack.
He also writes production music for several well known music libraries, like Universal Production Music, Opus1and Brand X Music.
Risto also composes sound sculptures as a hobby, with which he explores the possibilities of creating music by recording various elements, like the rain, the wind and even by trapping a Bumble Bee into a jar.
Over the course of the years, he has worked on numerous types of film/television scores, ranging from ethnic to classical to avant-garde sound design to pop oriented electronica scores.
Risto lives in Los Angeles, California and tries to make it out of the studio to go hiking as often as he can.
