My name is Lawrence. Many call me L. I am a current resident of Brooklyn NY. I am here to meet and connect with those who are willing to connect, learn, and grow in the industry of Film production, theatre production, acting, and all the other nuances in between. I have lived in Brooklyn since my attendance of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. I am honored to have become a member of the Actors Studio and I try to gain as much knowledge from those in the business as I can.
I have worked on various sets in film throughout my years here in NYC. I have also performed in many productions covering various dramas, comedies, readers theatre and stadged readings in Norfolk, Virginia, Edinburgh, Scotland, and NYC. I gained my theatre skills or "chops" from Norfolk State University. There I was opened to a new world with the opportunity to travel abroad and perform in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in my first musical. I played "Chubby Checker". I think it was because I am a heavy set guy but i cannot put my finger on it. This was a great time and memorable.
In other goings on I divulge in marketing as well as directing and most recently producing and casting. I have gained a interest on economics and tying that into the ongoing plan of making it in the film industry for actors such as myself and for those who dream to be actors, directors, etc. Keeping my mind busy.
Of all that I have stated I know one thing that is certain in life. 1. You live and you die, but most people do not really live. 2. Red velvet cake is a killer, and 3 in film and theatre it takes a group effort to deliver a great final product. No one can do it all, and no one should do it all. Number 3 truly pleases my heart as when other come together to create it is a sublime feeling.
On a final note I recently completed a short film (my first directing, writing, and producing film) entitled "Sorry Charlie! the short film". It can be viewed at: (P.S. Not a shameless plug LOL)
