After I was born, I started writing. And I haven't stopped. Fast forward twenty-three scripts – fourteen of which are buried in the back of my sock drawer, which is really the best place for them.
With two produced independent features under my belt (one that featured an Oscar-winning actor and was distributed worldwide), I've been a Sundance Screenwriters Lab Finalist, a 4x Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist, and have won "Best Screenplay" competitions at the Cinequest Film Festival (San Jose, CA), the Vail Film Festival (CO), the Asheville Film Festival (NC), Worldfest-Charleston (SC), and the Marco Island Film Festival (FL). I've also won the Action-Adventure screenwriting competition at Screenwriting Expo in L.A.
I’m currently adapting one of my Nicholl scripts into a novel. I’m also working as an executive producer to package a redemptive action-adventure I wrote about a disabled Gulf War vet, and I’m working on a TV pilot.
I'm giving serious thought to completing my bio's being born arc by dying one day, but I'm torn... too derivative? Too on the nose? I'm open to other ideas!
