About Adriana

Originally from Mexico City, Adriana Comsa has lived in Mexico, Romania, Australia, and now she currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. She is a unique combination of creativity, vision, and passion.
As a little girl, Adriana grew up watching thousand of movies. After watching a movie, she would go to her room and recreated her favorite scenes, adding new elements to the stories. From a young age, she dreamed of pursuing a career in film.
The spark that started the real fire was when she watched Joe Wright’s Pride and Prejudice for the fifth time at the movie theatre. She was mesmerized and profoundly touched by one specific scene – Liz on Top of the World – that had a blend of elements that created a mix of feelings and sensations, awakening a new sense of creativity in her. From that moment on, she decided that one of her life goals would be to create those same types of sensations for an audience.
Adriana has directed a number of works, but before finishing film school, she began directing her most important piece to date: Salva Nos. This independent project is a social justice drama that portrays the world-wide prevalence of human trafficking.
Adriana is motivated to build and be part of an inclusive team of creative people, working together through media as a global community for a global social justice change. She has a background in TV and media, leadership, social justice, and community engagement. Additionally, she has experience working in location camera operation, digital video editing and design, photography, and events planning.
Having successfully graduated from the Film Production Program at Vancouver Film School, Adriana is eager to embark on the filmmaker’s journey. She believes and is working towards the vision that, through her films, through her social action campaigns, and by employing digital and social networking, she will entertain, encourage and empower every individual to take action in various social justice causes.
