I was born in Atlanta and grew up all over the Metro area. After college I moved around the U.S. for six years while pursuing a television news career. My first job was as a weekend anchor/reporter for a small cable station in Gwinnett County, GA. It wasn’t long before I talked my way into a top one hundred television market as a reporter and fill-in anchor in Savannah, GA. Then I headed to the Lone Star State (Texas) to work as a full-time anchor on an NBC affiliate. Atlanta was the final stop on the news circuit, where I worked as the morning reporter for CBS46’s Good Morning Atlanta. Check out the official CBS46 station pic to the right. A little different look no?
While in the news biz I earned an Emmy nomination, two Society of Professional Journalists Green Eyeshade Awards, and was selected as a favorite television personality by a local Texas magazine. Along the way I interviewed President George Bush, Garth Brooks, and (my personal favorite) the hitch driver for the Budweiser Clydesdales during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah.
