Spring Forward (1999)
Film (Drama) Sound department As the seasons change in a Connecticut town, two men of different age and backgrounds who work together outdoors for the local park system, share thoughts and feelings that gradually deepen into a relationship approaching father and son. Paul is just out of prison for armed robbery, assigned to work with Murph, a middle-aged vet whose grown son Bobby is dying. Paul is trying to control his temper and build a spiritual side based on reading. Murph is a down-to-earth Sancho Panza to Paul's more ethereal ideas. Better Living (1998)
Film (Comedy) Sound department Three grown daughters try to find their own personal ways to deal with their dysfunctional parents. The mother is an unorthodox woman with out-of-the-ordinary ideas, including one where she takes a jackhammer to the basement floor of their house to build a cavern where the family can live better. Their father, an ex-cop, disappeared 15 years earlier and then re-appeared with no explanation and commandeers his wife's project by placing the whole family in a survivalist situation. Francis is an out of work sit-com actor returning to his empty childhood home on the Jersey shore to deal with the aftermath of his father's death. The Journey (1997)
Film (Comedy and Drama) Sound department Kishan Singh, his wife, and an only child, a son, Raj, live in India. Kishan runs his household by working as a school-teacher. They want their son to grow up well educated, and live a better life abroad. Raj studiously pursues his studies in medicine, re-locates to Pittsburgh, U.S.A., and soon establishes his practice there. He falls in love with a lovely Caucasian woman named Laura, both get married and give birth to a daughter, Jenny. Thereafter tragedy befalls the Singh family as Kishan's wife passes away. Alone, retired, and not having much to do in India, he decides to re-locate to U.S.A. and live with his son. He is received warmly by Laura, Raj, and Jenny. Kishan and Jenny take to each other very well, and often go for long walks in the countryside. On one such walk, Kishan and Jenny separate. Kishan is unable to locate her, and asks Raj and Laura to help him. A frantic search does get them to Jenny - but anger and acrimony have now taken over Laura, and she distrusts Kishan, ...
