After losing her career, home, and all semblance of life as she knows it, a washed up actress, unaware that the Mob is looking for her, moves in with her estranged, uptight daughter who wants nothing to do with her lifestyle in an attempt to put her life back together and repair their relationship.

SYNOPSIS:

Paige Vincent is happily living a quiet life with her two roommates, Betty and Solandra, and moving up in the world when her estranged mother, former A-list actress Vivian Leroux, shows up on their doorstep one evening looking for a place to stay. She's become a media field day, a Hollywood pariah, and her ex-boyfriend, unbeknownst to her, stole money - LOTS of money - from the Mob and gave it to her before he left her. They decide to continue to keep her a secret from the outside world, but Vivian is desperate to get her life back and in severe need of validation. She just can't help herself. She gets into trouble, she makes bad decisions, and she is delusional to the fact that her old life is gone. Now, Vivian must adjust to her new life as a 99-percenter (at least for the time being) without the validation she craves, living in hiding while trying to get her old life back. In an effort to feel better about herself and repair her relationship with Paige, she tries to hang out with them and do fun "young things," but finds out she can't hang like she used to. Betty and Solandra fear that the Mob may not be the only people after her and pledge to do what they can to help her. Paige, an aspiring journalist, finds herself in a Catch 22 at work when she's asked to cover the Vivian story; but she can't reveal who she is or she'll expose them both and she can't give them nothing or she'll ruin her promising career before it starts.

An awkward reunion with her ex-husband/Paige's father, his current wife/her main rival, taking the best and worst mugshots and history, embarrassing viral YouTube videos, and a mysterious figure who's trying to find her...It's Viv's world - we just live in it.
