Xian Fredericksen

My name is Xian (Christian) and I'm an aspiring 44 yr. old community theater actor. I make my living as an AutoCAD drafter. I've been an electrician, HVAC installer, even aspecial equipment truck driver. I am married with 7 grown children and 6 grandchildren.

I act because I have to. And because it's fun. I started very late in life because I let fear stop me. After a very near death illness I decided no more. I am going to LIVE my life. I auditioned for a role in a locally written one act show and got the part. I've never looked back and have slowed down only long enough to grab a burger. I've wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember and now I am one. I love theater. Instant gratification. It's the Polaroid of the craft. I know right away if I made an impact on the audience.

But, now, I'm ready to take the next step and work even harder to make my passion for this art my career. I said before that it's fun. It is. If it isn't fun then I'm doing something wrong. If it isn't fun then I can't really let go and become the character. I love this work. It lends me the opportunity to be whom and whatever I want. Like I did when I was little, playing outside. When there was nothing to fear and life was fun.

I act because I have to. And because it's fun.
